@1:32 that wasn't a sword, that's an umbrella, in japan they are popular as Katana Umbrella
“In London, you’re lucky if staff give you the finger” ...OMG I love your understated humour!
I think that content creators often don't receive enough appreciation so here it goes: I really appreciate how much effort you put into your videos (from filming to editing, to even correcting yourself in the final edit through on-screen text) and how much you care about your community (the price breakdown for the Japan video was pretty awesome and detailed, more than any sort of article that you could find). Your videos are really fun to watch and that casual humour always hits the spot. Thank you for still uploading through the pandemic and for all the care you put into your content. Hopefully, we can all travel safely once again soon. Cheers!
Thank you so much for this. Please tell your friends as RUclips tends to favour more disposable content so I’m glad you appreciate the extra time it takes. 😀
The staff repeating greetings directed to no one in particular really got me 😂 I kept looking for someone they were greeting but there was no one there yet they still greet with gusto
The bag left on a train would freak me out too! Really liked this video
Haha. Thank you! I had to fight all my urges!
Everything I love about Japan ☺ ♥ 🇯🇵
This video is truly a gem!💎
This video has made me so nostalgic in the best way possible. During our year in Japan, it was truly the accumulation of all the small things that made the entire experience one that we will never forget or have anywhere else in the world.
As someone living in Japan for so long I forgot about these small details - they somehow become part of my daily life. Always interesting to hear these things because I remember what it was like the first time I was here!
We love this video and we have watched it about 20 times. We love the stationery section and would likea video on post it notes!!!!
Haha thank you. That’s lovely to hear as it’s probably my personal favourite video that has the least number of views. So thanks
Such a cool video and so entertaining!! The Sting comment made me laugh out loud! I've never been to Japan but it looks totally fascinating. Thank you. I love all your videos & their good vibes❤️
Your vids are amazing...I didn’t want it to end! Thank you so much for sharing I absolutely loved it 💖
Thank you! 😍
You are the best vloger
Great video! Thanks!
I'm sure there is a word for this compulsion for the smallest conveniences .In your case it's Nippophile - a love for all things Japanese . I came across many acts of etiquette when I was in London including an attendant at a Metro station who went to extraordinary lengths to guide me to Sadler W .But yes, the Japanese are the masters when its comes to detailing - it's almost like milking the last drop out or leaving no stone unturned .Great collection SM .
Great comment! 👍
Loved this video!!! It compiles all the magical unique things about a place that makes it so special.. that’s why even you might have seen so many pictures and videos about a place nothing compares to actually being there.. that being said your videos are the closest I’ve ever been to Japan!! And you guys have 100% convinced me to pay a visit to this country 💕
That’s a great compliment, thank you!
"JOY BHAGWAN"
Wonderful!
Looove your videos!
This vd is precious! Informative, funny, concise, jam packed with data no travelers have considered to be interesting! Thank you mate!
Japan is so amazing!!
Love this. 🖤✌🏿
omg im in kyoto right now. starbucks. this video really cracked me up.
talking shop and
😂
garbage truck...
what a vastly distant comparison...
Extremely informative in such a short period of time. Nicely done.
Thank you you’re welcome! 😀
Love this video, thank you!
Cheers
Spot on mate
An absolutely brilliant video. It really brought me back to life living in Japan!
Thank you, yeah its the little things that add up. :)
Well done! We are very enjoyed your video.
I love to watch your travel vlog since before I was supposedly travel to Japan but unfortunately cancelled due to COVID19. Can't wait to see you both where to go next. Bless you!
Just came accross this and it instantly made me miss travelling (especially to Japan) soo much!!! I love all those little things in Japan. Can't wait to go back (and feeling so fortunate that I just had a holiday there before the world went into shut down).
Thank you. I have lots of other Japan videos that you may enjoy. ruclips.net/p/PLszSmMLISbAf_wJit1kbw1tAcwnPUZogl
"AND PORN" 7:58 hahaha
Great video thanks for sharing especially with all that going on it really enjoyed it 👍 you definitely got all the little things that Japan do the only thing I would add is when you buy something especially at a small family run shop they will come around from the counter to hand you the bag and bow 🙇🏴🇬🇧
Love your videos! Thank you for doing this amazing work!
Glad you’re enjoying! Please share with your friends
Great video Stay Safe
This has become my favourite channel to use as a reference when I travel. Very very informative
Thank you, glad you find it useful. Please tell your friends!
I love how humorous this show is you guys are super cool but can you make more videos more often I've watched all of them at least ten times
Haha. Wow that’s a great compliment. Thank you. I started making a q&a video today so one is on the way. Sorry I can’t make more. I prefer quality over quantity. Hope you understand and thanks for the support!
AMAZING
日本のことを詳しく紹介してくれてありがとうございます!
Thank you!!
Yes, they do have vending machines in the remotest areas, and since most streets in Japan do not have names, these vending machines serve as navigational landmarks . So if you have an emergency, simply dial 1-1-9 and give the serial number of the vending machine printed on its front and an ambulance, fire truck or police can determine your exact location.
That British humour of yours. Love it.
I guess Japan is stationery heaven!
You alway put out the best content. I love your videos. I wish you would travel more so that I could get more videos.
Lol. You could pay for me? 🤪
After watching your channel, Japan is where I want to go. I'm going to start saving for it. It's absolutely breathtaking in beauty. Thank you so much!
That’s so great to hear, thank you for letting me know!!! 🙂
"JOY BHAGWAN"
Wow beautiful japan 😄😙😲🙎👯👌👍
Fantastic video on Japan!
To buy cigarettes from those vending machines, you need a specific ID card called "Taspo," short for "tobacco passport," to prove your legal age.
However, anyone can buy cigarettes and alcohol at convenience stores without any ID.
Come visit Japan again!
‘You’re lucky if staff give you the finger’ 😂😂😂Dont hold back 😅
Love your work...! Keep safe..!
I was traveling in London from Athens in May and i was super excited, your London tips were on my list..! i was so looking forward for that.... but Coronavirus changed our plans.
That's ok, some other time i guess! The important thing right now is to be safe for us and our loved ones..!
Thank you. It will be worth the wait! Hope these videos help the boredom until then! 😀
I love Japan
This is brilliant 😆 made me laugh a lot. I wonder if I’ll hear the pew pew when I visit next...if I do I’ll probably be dubbed the strange woman that laughs/smiles whilst crossing the road smh
PEW PEW!!! 😍
This is so cool .... I so wanna go to Japan now .... I didn’t think anyone sold cigarettes from vending machines anymore.
That stationery ... wow .... I’ve never seen so many pens and pencils in one place .... awesome vlog 😊
Haha also love the pets in Prams
Haha yeah it’s all a bit of a culture shock but one that makes it such a great place to visit! I actually missed to mention that there’s a cartoon panda on the cigarette vending machine so another example of cartoons being used in ways you might not expect. 😃
great vids keep up the great work, u need 2 go 2 Philippines, lots of natural beauty
Japan is the home ive never been able to go to
These videos are my only way to go back right now . Thank you !!!! What are your top 5 international destinations ?
Hmm. Well I’d always have to say I need to travel more to really answer that question but from where I’ve been, Japan, Maldives, Kenya, New Zealand and I dunno, Disneyworld! 😀
Wow- i hope i could visit too in japan.
Enjoying watching ur videos. Lets be friends.
6:17 Baskets for bags/purses - GENIUS! I don't know how anyone can stand putting their bags on a dirty restaurant floor!
👍👍👍
Toilets are everywhere (stations, parks, ...) and they’re always free. There are Always baby rooms. Tatami instead of beds. Taps are right in toilets, sounds in toilets. Several levels bicycle parking. So much differences 😅
I had toilets on my list but didn’t have much footage so didn’t include! Good one!!! 😃
Keep on the good job bro! I love your vlog, and one request if I can, please film in 4k when you can. :)
Haha. Thank you again but sorry it’s a massive pain to deal with 4K footage. Ha. Thanks for watching some of my videos though. 😀
@@SuitcaseMonkey Well yeah, you are right, sometimes you can not upload it on 4k, you need some programs to do it.
It’s more storage space, external hard drives, taking ages to download, longer to export, harder to edit...
@1:32 that wasn't a sword, that's an umbrella, in japan they are popular as Katana Umbrella
That thick bread you were amazed at is called Texas Toast in Canada.
Everything’s bigger there, apparently 🙂
Lets be friends anyone there. And lets be honest. While visiting in the channel make sure that you will watch the videos or take 3 to 5min. But dont forget the to put ur arrow in ❤
I will be going to Japan next year, from mid March to the first couple of days of April. Your videos are so welcome, and useful in this planning phases. But I`ve a question, how cold is Japan during that perios of time? Will I need a proper winter jacket, termal blouse, and earmuffs? Thanks for the great content, and amazing unexpected jokes!
Hey Rebecca thank you. Both our trips to Japan were end of march for two weeks so basically what you see in the videos is close to what you would have, assuming you’re going to the same places. So t shirt with some layers and a coat would cover you for most situations.
Dag makes you want to move there like almost immediately. I mean.... IMMEDIATELY...!!!
Haha
Great video!
Something that caught my attention is that they have like benches or chairs in the restrooms, in front of a mirror, so you can use it for retouched your make up. You can see it almost everywhere: hotels, restaurantes and even malls.
Oohhhh, good one! 😀
We will be waiting for you
Bro u should visit to Pakistan also . Welcome you always.... I am Mountain Host from Skardu Dewanekhas Hotel & Restaurant skardu
How can I share this video?
Fab x
Number 18 blew my mind! I lived there for a year and never considered those cigarette vending machines could be used by underage. I actually never saw a teenager using them
Haha. I doubt they would to be honest. 😅
Please do a US trip when things get better!! (Let’s pretend this is a suitcase) 📦✈️
Thank u so much for sharing. Always watching your vedio very nice.
Can u be my friends
There are also alcohol vending machines in Japan.
I loved your videos not like the rest of the Japanese ones I would say a lot better.😇
Cheers!
You forgot to mention something about mochi
Haha. Currently Hannah has that covered!
The subtitles are blocking a lot of screen and are irritating as they are blocking the view.
Otherwise nice video... keep it up
It a compliment to belch after a meal but rude to eat outside. Work that one out!!
This video made me want to learn Japanese instead of Chinese
The most “foreign place” to you as a westerner because Japan doesn’t bow down to western tourists influences like many countries in South East Asia. There is barely any western style bars playing cheesy western music and full of drunk westerners. Think Bali, Phuket and Boracay. Westerners like those places not because of the local cultures, it’s because they can enjoy a western living style at a cheap price
Saying that something is inappropriate in a foreign culture, is disrespectful and kind of stupid :)
