Lol I came for the crochet today even though I am mostly a knitter, and here you are reviewing a book 😊 LOVED your review of the book and it’s classic “staples”, definitely more my style too! I haven’t tried any of KFO yarns yet, but I do know they offer free worldwide shipping on your first order :) I just don’t like ordering online for such a big order if I can’t really see the colour. My go to pattern according to how many times I have knit it is the Ranunculus. I’d think it works well because it has yoke shaping and also raglan shaping so it seems to fit my broad shoulders well. I also have knit three Girlfriends Cardigan’s by Ankestrick, one for me and two for my grown daughter. Take care Bella 💓🇨🇦

That's so funny that you are loving the ranunculus! Did you watch me rant and rave about it in episode 68?! Cause loving it has not been my experience! But that's the beauty of handmade- we all get to pick and customize what's the best for US!

That book is beautiful! I can’t pick a favorite pattern, but I love many of Tin Can Knits patterns!

Hey thanks for the review! I’ve recently started knitting; I’ve crocheted for years. My favorite pattern is actually one a created on my own-Elf hats! When my children were young, my middle child asked for a Santa hat….which then resulted in a me making multiple hats that were in the long stocking, elf style. My husband then wanted one as well. Received so many compliments over the years and now, 10 years later I remade each kid a hat as their teenage and young adult heads are quite larger than they were when they were younger.

Thanks so much for the review. I have crocheted for years and just started knitting. I typically make baby blankets. Knitting blankets take sooo much longer. I recently knitted the half and half wrap and this is definitely a “staple” wearable piece for me.

Oh my goodness yes knitting blankets takes FOREVER. knit and crochet both have their strengths and I'd much rather crochet a blanket!

Loved hearing more about this book! I’ve been debating ordering some KFO yarn since they have free shipping on your first order. They also sell seeknit needles which I’ve been tempted to try!
Two of my favorite classic patterns would have to be the purl soho classic ribbed beanie and petit knit’s Monday sweater. Both are casual, easy to wear, and pretty simple to make.

Oh we are a devout classic ribbed beanie household here 😂👏

One of my favorite classic looking patterns (that I hope to make soon) is the Bibliophile from Alicia Plummer.

I haven't made anything yet that I am head over heels for but definitely would love a great sweater and loving the style of Augustins so I'm excited to try some of her designs and am currently making the Whitmoor Sweater. Hoping this is a winner for my body. I'd love to be the lucky individual but whomever is chosen is getting blessed with some great designs options to be inspired by

Thanks for the review. This looks like a wonderful book. I am a new knitter and have made a few items. My favorite is the basic folded brim hats I made for my grandsons. Love to see them wearing them!

I feel like this book would have some great basics options! And those hats in there would be grandson worthy too!

Thank you for the review! The waffle sweater really caught my eye as you were flipping through the book. I've been trying to learn more about sweater making and patterns so i can finally have a sweater that fits my chest 🤣 i probably would start with not a sweatshirt but the waffle sweater is definitely knitting goals for me now.

The great part about knitting is we can customize to our exact fit! The waffle does look cozy!

my stable peie is probably the musselburgh beanie. Its something that will never go out of style and looks goo on everyone.
I actually think I might make a wrap cardigan. Over wedding season last year I was wearing a cardigan at night and if it was a wrap it would have been better.

I made the Walpole cardigan by Hannah Fettig and I wear it all the time. Easy to throw on and I wear it at work a lot. It was a lot of knitting, but it was worth it in the end.

I have the yarn to do a hat so either would be great. Have knitted with the cashmere and made fingerless mitts and a Sophie scarf. Decadent and warm.

I have only knit one too and one short sleeve raglan sweater. The book has some great designs. I haven’t used that brand either. I hope someday to be able to make a basic sweatshirt style sweater. I’m thinking about the Felix sweater next.
