It's very nice to finally have someone doing reviews "trini style", I like it a lot. Now I noticed in the note review you didn't mention the suspension and it wasn't mentioned here as well. And we all know how much you love Nissan. Seeing that you met a pothole 2.5 seconds after leaving the compound, we would like to know how the suspension feels especially on the roads in their current conditions.
Please keep in mind this is a basic model or base model, higher specs have alotttttttt more features including d 360 camera and a light in the trunk just to name 2, and unlike the vezel play the sunroof version actually opens and is not just a glass roof
Glad to see a Caribbean review of this .A couple of things ,first you are able to change the language of the instrument cluster because its not a JDM vehicle, manufacturers in Japan exclude certain features or even make certain critical parts in Japan only as kind ofba middle finger to grey market exports. Second the reason for the fusebox in the glove box is because that is the Renault part of this chassis and the French are very abnoxious about where they put the fusebox because how dare you drive on the right. Thirdly this is not a EV ,its a full hybrid that costs way more than its non hybrid counterpart and the cost to recoup that cost is going to be years worth of driving and no it doesnt save that much fuel. Finally this car is probably being imported by used car dealers because to bring it in new would probably drive up the price to astronomical levels. For instance apparently these are brought in new in Jamaica and they cost the equivalent of $450000TT,they aint cheap. To anyone looking for a vehicle like this new with a manufacturer warranty and service plan if you cant get a Rav4 Hybrid get the Haval H6 hybrid, you get more for youoney and better fuel savings.
The vezel grew on me....I would need to consult with them Hybrid techs and see who the most reliable... because the price of vehicles these days...we looking to keep them more than 5-10yrs
Toyota has the best track record when it comes reliability on their hybrids. Downside is, if you need any repairs, you'll have to bring to the dealer. I can't speak on Honda or any RORF hybrid vehicles in general, so you'll have to some due diligence. In T&T there isn't enough local mechanic shops that will fix hybrids, regardless what brand it is, so keep that in mind.
