Instruments: replicas after unaltered originals by Benoit Joseph Boussu (violin 1750 / cello 1757) from the MIM Brussels collection, made by Geerten Verberkmoes as part of his PhD project 'Boussu Inside Out' at Ghent University and School of Arts Ghent.
Recorded in Cultuurkapel Sint-Vincent, Ghent, Belgium on 26 June 2018.

Just love the instruments and the process of their creation. Did you make the bows as well and curious why you chose this maker for replicas. I’ve never heard about him but will look him up now. Thanks for the amazing journey and the music is glorious!
Hello vjc4, thanks for your kind comment! I choose this maker mainly because a violin and cello by him, from 1750 and 1757 respectively, are preserved in original state. To find such well-preserved examples is very rare. Further, his making style is really beautiful.
I didn't make the bows... the musicians selected the proper bows for the music. I trusted them to make the right choice (-:
