Yessir! Chasing those deals is always a blast! I’d definitely like to do more of it but it’s hard to find good deals in Alaska! Everyone up here is down with the eBay prices lol!😝
Just found your channel. Absolutely fantastic content 👍 I started collecting around the same time as you. Unfortunately lost every gaming thing from my childhood, but I'm at about 600 games and a handful of arcades now. It been a great journey but I've learned to be more selective as my collection grows and a few times a year to refine my collection. That is essential. To enjoy your collection and every game should have it's place.
Wow that’s so nice, thank you so much!! And yeah that really sucks about loosing all your childhood games. (still hurts honestly) I Sony have 2 GameCube games form my childhood but yeah it’s been a lot of fun collecting and I can’t wait to do more of it when the channel grows! Glad to have you on board! 🙏🏾
Awesome video! I've recently started collecting games more seriously and joined the world of RUclips content creating because of it. It's really fun to listen to your perspective on collecting and it makes me think about how I collect. I just dipped my toes into Nintendo Power Mag's and am hooked. Really great stuff, loved the set up and edit of this video!
That’s awesome, I’m glad you liked it! And yes collecting can be a rush specially when you find a sweet deal! I’m a little jealous of the Nintendo power mags bro!
I was really into collecting all last year, but this year I kind of slowed down a bit until I move out and get a space of my own. It gets to be extremely pricey as well. Maybe you can make a video with tips for collecting?
One factor I also take into account is support longevity. I’m essentially a cartridge collector, since those have the biggest lifespan. All CDs will eventually rot (no matter what you do). So I collect loose GBA, GB and Switch games only.
I collect ps1 games and also want to look into walkthroughs for them as well , but I can’t get past how gross some of these walkthroughs look. At least with the games I can clean or replace the cases entirely. My experience with guides are they are cheap but look like they have the plague, or are immaculate but cost more than the game itself CIB. I can’t justify spending more on the walkthroughs, over the game itself.
I typically play a game on a rom and if i dig it i seek out the physical copy so i have games that i actually play akd like. I can confidently pull anything off my shelf and be like i enjoy this. Recently played lollipop chainsaw and now im on the hunt for a clean copy.
Very nice! I’ve also been doing the same thing, and having roms accessible makes it so you don’t have to worry about buy a crappy game, cause you get to try it! And man I’ve been wanting to get lollipop chainsaw for a while now! It looks good!
I've fallen into Switch collecting. But I'm more on a break even or pay minimally with either big purchases that I break up and sell or just patience. I just got Wii sports for under $10 in sleeve with manual off of eBay.
Hmmm I do not. I will eventually but right now since we’re trying to get monetized, it makes more sense for you guys to stay on RUclips lol. But as soon as I set that up, I’ll let you guys know!
I completely agree!! Games were made to be played. I could never be happy with a game in a case just for show. Forget the bragging rights, give it to someone who would truly appreciate it.
I only collect for systems & games I like. I won't collect a whole set for any system because 1. It's too expensive & 2 I don't like every game. I mostly collect for retro systems Nes to PS2. I quit Modern gaming because I found myself not having fun with those games. Even though I have Ever drives now for the systems I play. I still bought the physical copies I liked because not all of the games work properly. Then there is the fact that it might break on me. So now I have back up.
Yeah I totally get that. It’s just impractical to collect whole sets of consoles libraries. I’d like to do something like that eventually, but I’d have to be making an insane amount of money in order to justify that.
That's very true, most console have alot of junk games. I still today it's worse. The games today lack personality and are more of copies of ideas decades ago, but if anything, the indie games shine more than AAA games, but clone previous ideas.
@@TheCollective1 that's why I buy mainly when they are 80% off. State of Decay 2 is a good example, it's kinda generic, not polished and after a few runs I was tired of the loop but it was fine for less than $15
I love hearing about new collectors, and the fun they are having!

Mans got the perfect video game character hairstyle too!
Yo I’m dead!!! 🤣🤣🤣 You should checkout the video I made about that a few months ago!
@@TheCollective1 Subbed for sure! Glad I discovered this channel for real. Watching the video on emulation now.
@enterlematrix that’s awesome! Thanks so much!!
Killmonger vibes for sure
@thinkingwisedawg2508 I’m dead!! 💀💀💀 I appreciate the compliment though! Thanks!!

Yes I feel that, and I’ll definitely have to make a video like that! I’ll probably make that next week’s video!!
One factor I also take into account is support longevity. I’m essentially a cartridge collector, since those have the biggest lifespan. All CDs will eventually rot (no matter what you do). So I collect loose GBA, GB and Switch games only.
That is so true and I totally forgot to mention that! It’s crazy how some cartridges are 40 years old and somehow still work as a beer brand new!
first time checking out your channel and its great.
NO WAY!!! Mr wright way is here?!? Brother I love your channel! Love watching the PlayStation pursuit! Those greatest hits games need some love too!!
@@TheCollective1 those greatest hits are so fun to collect.
@MrWrightWay so true! And most of the time they end up being cheaper too! I just picked up a symphony of the night greatest hits recently!!
Just came across the channel awesome video bro! Great looking collection you have. All very relevant topics for sure.
Thanks so much for watching, and I’m glad you enjoyed it!

Yeah that’s what I was saying! That alundra 2 guide’s screenshots are absolutely horrible! Luckily the guide is in decent shape!

Dang that’s a good deal! And yes I’ve definitely been wanting to add some more rare games but they’re starting to get so expensive! 😭😭

Never say NEVER..... TRUST ME :)
I’m trusting the process!! 🙏🏾
@@TheCollective1 just have fun. Your collection looks great. Since 2019 WOW! Keep going , I can see you with a silver play button one day
NEVER Trust me....NEVER! TRUST ME!?
🤣🤣🤣🤣 Now I’m confused!
Yes bro it feels so much better to have physical copies, can’t wait for this premiere!
Yes yes!!
Vice City Stories, still my favourite to this day!
Nice! Every time Billie Jean came on, I would drive around for longer lol
It's nice to build a world you understand and can appreciate.
To be your own God, this is what it is.
I wouldn’t go that far but you are correct. It is all just vanity.
Do you havw a discord server for your community to hang out in?

So true! It’s definitely worst now because these companies don’t even realize how generic and garbage their games are.

@shinobusensui9395 exactly! That’s the best time to try out questionable games! When they’re hella cheap! 🤣🤣
I think it’s only worth collecting newer games because, well, emulation 😅
Very good point there! Specially because of how expensive retro games are getting!
I thank you for making this videos you are a cool nice person 😎
Thanks I really appreciate it, and I’m glad you liked the video!! 🙏🏾
I only buy xbox 360 video games that I want to play them
Oh nice! I’m currently trying to get blue dragon on Xbox 360!
