Hey Al, always love the content. Just watched your other AI Smoke video and the numbers for that and your numbers for today are a little different. Could be just the day but you were hitting it a little faster then and spin was a bit lower, so it overlapped the Elyte numbers quite closely. Seems like maybe only a slight upgrade this year, but that happens year to year
Love the video. I just demoed a brand new Paradym ai smoke max D against the new Elyte version using the same shaft. Looks, yeah whatever. Sound and feel ? Couldn’t tell the difference. Performance, for me at a very consistent (slow) swing there wasn’t an inch in it. I did also have a few swings with a new Ping 440 SFT, that did go further than both of them (admittedly only a yard or two) but did give me MUCH better dispersion. Shame I can’t afford any of them !
I your review of the smoke AI max last year with more or less the same CHS you was going further with a lot less spin, i think either of those drivers on different days will perform pretty much identical, if you are not "I must have the latest gear " freak you can save yourself a bucket load of cash and buy the smoke!!
I just got fit for the triple diamond elyte changing from paradym.. it’s easier to shape and gave me more forgiveness of the low strike.. keeping my same shaft tho
That was fun, Al. I always enjoy head to head. The sound test always makes me laugh. Is there anyway to get sound without the smack of the screen? All I hear is screen-smack. To my eyes the AI Smoke is much better looking.
How does the Callaway Elite Max compared to the new ping g440 Max would love to see a comparison if you haven't done it yet with the same shaft Denali 6.5
The elyte does unfortunately look like it's out of a £500 package set but now you've said the ai smoke looks like a bouncy ball I just can't unsee it 😂
Went a got fitted today Al like you always say and for me the Elyte Triple 💎 was dare I say Elite 🫣🤭. Ball speeds are amazing all over the face. The forgiveness is just insane on mishits. Nothing else was even close in terms of accuracy. Others were just as fast but much wider dispersions. Can’t wait to see your thoughts on the 💎

You are so amazed by yourself, and so you should be , you are a funny dude, ai smoke looks like it came out of a supermarket, with swirling smoke gimmick, and then on the crown that stupid looking gloss checker board of graphite, cant stand it and couldn't stand paradym, elyte much calmer, but unfortunately the standard one feel like concrete off the face and has loud crack sound when hit , the most forgiving one they have has a nice dull sound and is certainly softer than concrete
Bottom line is then unless you are an elite (Elyte) golfer don’t need to change your driver for minimum 3 years until the technology has advanced enough to make a bigger difference to need or warrant changing @ £500 + every year.🤔
So you swung the new one faster. Hence no difference at all between the clubs other then the swing you used for each club. I had a similar experience with the GT2 vs GT3. Exact same head weight. Same shaft. So should swing them the same. But I consistently swung the GT3 faster.
I spent $700 dollars on 2 Paradym fairway woods when they came out. Today on trade in they are worth $180. Never again. Anyone that buys clubs new is just throwing their money away.
its not an investment, you buy them for fun and enjoyment and some people just want the latest stuff out.............. its not throwing money away is it if you have enjoyed it?
I just hate that they highlighted the weight thing on the back . Why does it pop, it doesn't make sense they could have made it black or hell maybe just not as bright silver. Smh

Callaway blew it. They came back with the silly Epic look and copied Ping with the back weighting . Poor Sales is a coming . Taylormade Qi35 blows it out of the water. Cobra DS Adapt also a better move if anyone is looking for a nice change of improvement. Cheers
The Smoke looks messy and the Elyte looks boring and cheap. Not a fan of either. They sound the same and when you compare shots with the same chs rather than averages, there is almost nothing separating them except the Elyte has a marginally better distance dispersion. Hardly worth the $1,000 'upgrade' and the looks certainly won't be a motivator to get something "new and shiny".
Paradym Ai Smoke is a stupid name. It makes me appreciate Sim 2 and Stealth 2 more than I should. The colors are hideous, too. Cornflower and royal blue? Gag.

100% on this one. I play that same driver and test new drivers every year. Nothing has yet to beat my MAX ST LS. Curious how the Elyte will fare.

@@Darren-df2wn Not necessarily, just the head composition. If you add a bit of rubber inside the head it can massively deepen sound.
Smash factor works out nearly identical. Take out AI high spin shot and take out Elyte high speed shot and the averages are almost same same.
