- Max the Great Dane still doesn't understand where his sister Katie has gone. Watch as Max tours the house and grounds looking for his sister and his Dad. Max can definitely pick up the scent of Katie and goes searching around the property and throughout the house following Katie's scent. This is our longest video and is followed by part two, where Max joyfully runs to greet Dad as he pulls into the driveway.

I just have to add another comment. I lost the love of my life, my beloved Yorkie Walter 2 years ago. That hurt brings tears to my eyes still today. I am so sad for your loss, only those who have a deep abiding love for their pets can truly understand the sorrow. Again, I'm so sorry for your loss of Katie and more recently, Max. I hope the days will get better for you. I had to grieve for Walter and take my time looking for another boy or girl with their own distinct personality. Recently a new little lady has taken up residence, her name is Daisy. She has brought so much happiness to my life. Giving her the love and attention she needs has helped fill the empty place, but my memories and love for my boy will always be a part of me. I hope for you the memories bring more happiness than sorrow one day soon.
I can hear in your voice how sad and depressed you very understandably are and see that Max is looking everywhere and is puzzled and sad. Is he eating ok? How are you and Larry coping right now. Losing someone you love is so hard. Thinking of all of you in this very hard time. 💝💝💝
We are still riding the waves of grief and Honor Thy Pet just brought Katie home, so the tears are flowing again.

Max and Katie the Great Danes I know exactly how that feels, I sobbed for an hour after I read the sympathy card and then again after the certificate plaque from the company I used. It's good to see Max up and about though. Hearing him pee like a horse made for some comic relief!

Poor Max. You can see he is so lost....sniffing where Katie has been and where she has "marked". Max may mark more often as if to say "Here I am Katie....find me".He is truly lost.....my heart is so sad.

Max just doesn't know what to do with himself. Poor baby just wanders around trying to find Katie. The house is so quiet without her. My heart breaks for Max and the both of you.. Hope things get better sooner rather than later.
Poor Max just doesn't know where to look for his Katie and doesn't know what to do next. I'm feeling so bad for him. He's definitely feeling lost without her. My Duke passed away 3 yrs ago at age 13, till this day, I cry for him. My condolences for you and you family.

Max is such a handsome fella. It’s so sad to see that Katie passed away. You have to really feel for animals when they lose a companion, because there’s no way to let them know before hand what’s going to happen.

I’m crying my eyes out, I don’t know much but when I first laid eyes on max and Katie I told myself those were the most beautiful dogs I ever seen and that you all are beautiful sweet people. Hi I have just come across your website and your videos with Max and found out that Katie's not here any longer and that Max was looking for her in this video Max is a beautiful dog I know he misses his sister and I just want you to know that your voice is so soothing as Max walks around and sniffs and looks for her I could tell you how much you love you're beautiful animals they're more than animals their companions & friends they're wonderful I'm so glad that I came across this website thank you so much.
