Thank you for the video. I am trying to get in usps. I just applied for CCA and waiting for it processing. I watched most of your video about CCA & PSE and I really learned so many things from your video.
Thank you! 😁🙏👍🏻 My knee is good again and yaaa….. my wife is still dealing with stuff and we have had to hire a lawyer now too 🤦♂️🤷♂️my wife is stressed and depressed. She goes to a Dr for one thing and find out it something else. Example? She’s going to PT( physical therapy) now for 4 things now, her back, shoulder, neck, and her jaw for TMJ. 🤦♂️🥺😢 when she can’t work a full day, she gets harassed by the store manager for missing hours or days. My wife still hasn’t been paid for the days missed after the accident which is about 1 month. I’ll stop! Sorry for the rant, but yes it’s on going and not good.🙁 Thank for asking though 🙏 means a lot to me🙂
Started getting shots in both knees now every 3 months. Just have a lot of miles on them from the Army. I was an 11B Infantryman. So just dealing with arthritis in both knees lol 🤷♂️ Thank you for watching 😉👍🏻
Thank you 😁👍🏻We’ll I’ll work whatever hours they give me. Not sure what my hours will be. Job description just said shift and hours will vary 🤷♂️ lol not afraid to work hours and love big paychecks lol 😉😂😁👍🏻 Thank you for watching! 😉👊🏻
YAY!!! Thank goodness, I'm sure you're relieved. Your wife should file a complaint with the your local Dept. of Labor & get her pay! Sending you both positivity & good vibes from Florida.
Yes I am lol 👍🏻😉 thank you! Well our lawyer is taking care of everything now. Thank you 🙏 for the positive vibes 😁👍🏻 and thoughts, means a lot to us mainly my wife 😁 I read her your message and said to say thank you 🙏 from Montana lol 😉👍🏻
I revived a job offer from the post office as a PSE for the plant position. How do I know if it's seasonal or holiday position. On the offer it says 360 days. Am I safe to leave my full time job now with a steady schedule to work with the post office? I need to know if it's full time permanent to keep up with cost of living, rent etc.
The job description would have said specifically said Holiday, but because it says 360 days, that’s a regular PSE position and not holiday! Depends on the job description, it would have provided the pay and hours that are expected to be worked. Mine gave the pay/hr and my days and hours just said (varies). My days off vary from week to week and so do my hours. Some days I work 4-4 1/2 hours and other days 6-8 hours. Just depends on the amount of mail and packages/Amazon packages we get. With saying that, I also live in a town of 35K people. I average between 26-34 hours a week. Ya DO NOT QUIT YOUR JOB YET. Even the emails you receive tell you not to quit your job, the hiring process can be lengthy. I didn’t quit until I got my orientation/hire date for the CCA position before i went for the PSE position I have now. If you know who your supervisor would be at that facility you’re going to be working? You can contact them and inquire about the schedule/hours you would be working. Then you can do the math as to if this job will work out for you or not compared to your current job.
Do you know what the orientation pay is? Also What time does your shift start especially if you are an opener. Most postal service opens at 9am. I will working at a smaller location part time, I’m just trying to figure hours.
Orientation pay is your hourly pay. Your hourly pay was listed on the job description when you applied. Your hours are determined by your supervisor and what they schedule you. Thank you for watching 😉👍🏻
@@ashleyc9867 No on both of those questions. Orientation is done at a facility, only time I have seen a zoom orientation was when I got hired on as a CCA back in 2021 during holiday season. As pay for pay increase after 90 days? What your hearing is a lie. Raises and COLA increases are as paid according to the APWU Union Contract for PSE’s and Career Employees.
NO! As long as you paid attention and took notes you'll pass just fine. Everyone in my class passed 😁👍. Only 2 people that have failed according to our instructor was, one person that failed was because she didn't pay attention and was on her phone texting all the time. The other was a language issue, poor lady was Filipino lady and could hardly speak English, I'll be doing a video on my experience at the SSA Academy. Thank you for watching!
@@smokinchuck thank you so much! Do ssda's cover for mail processing clerks in the back that scan packages all day, when they are out sick? I guess what I'm asking is do you have to be trained in the back and the front?
@@lisal2275 So I was hired as a Sales/Service Distribution Associate. I started in the back sorting packages in the mornings and doing dispatch in the evenings. Then about 8-9 months in I was sent to SSA ACADEMY for window training. As a PSE like myself, I do cover shifts if people call off sick or on vacation 👍🏻. Like last week, we had a regular window clerk on vacation, so I was working windows all last week covering her shift. Now this week, I’m working early morning shifts sorting packages when they come on the trucks. Depending on the facility you're working, you shouldn’t be covering for mail clerks(MHA-Mail Handling Clerk) that’s a different craft. Hope this helps! 😉👍🏻
@@smokinchuck okay so there are two positions at a post office here in AZ that have vacancies. One is PSE mail processing clerk and PSE sales & service distribution. You were hired as a ssda but didn't get on board at the window/ front counter selling stamps, customer service, etc until 9 months? If I'm hired as a ssda I don't want to be scanning packages and throwing into bins all day. It's too hot here, it's 119 for 3 weeks straight. It's kind of misleading during the hiring process. They say you are hired for the front counter assisting the public but then they make you do the mail processing in the back until u go up front? This is a station I'd be working at, not a plant. I just want to make sure because I did mail processing in the back and it was just too hot for me. I was told I can reapply for the ssda position but they didn't explain anything that would go on or if I would end up back in the back again. We had to scan packages outside on certain trucks that came in. Even when we scanned and throw it all day long inside it was still hot in there and didn't even feel like the air was on. I just want to be clear on the job description so I don't accept it and then end up quitting again. I can't get ahold of Human Resources or the postmaster. I guess I could go in person and ask questions.
@@smokinchuck it's confusing because at the plant here they have mail handler/processing and at the station's they have PSE mail processing Clerk and PSE sales & services. 😩🤷♀️🤔
@@smokinchuck Thanks, I recently applied for CCA and did the NACI, Fingerprints, and position got Canceled. Last week I applied for PSE and accepted Offer letter on Tuesday morning and I got a phone call same day and they offered me the job, no prints no NACI and she said I would get an email with my orientation which is May 10th. USPS hiring process is a disaster and they need to fix it. Thanks for replying I appreciate it.
@@renautw ya they did that to me also. I accepted the position, but they still called me to ask if I still wanted it? Lol 😂 🤷♂️🤦♂️. Cool that you have your orientation date already. Probably receive your orientation email/instructions around May 5-6th roughly. Again congratulations on the job and thank you for watching 😉👍🏻
Thats funny you didnt have to do the background . i did. Applied for mail handler in OCTOBER and role was cancel, so i applied for CCA and did another background, but it went through fast though. Email me 2 weeks later for paperwork
The reason they gave was because I was a CCA previously and because I came back in within 90 days, another background check isn’t necessary.👍🏻 At least you’re 2nd one went faster for you.
Thank you and thank you for watching 😁👍🏻. Pre hire list means you qualify for that position, but others factors comes into play. Assessment score, how many other applied for that position and etc. For me I went from Application Entry to Offer Phase(EXT). Now when I went for the CCA position before in my other videos. I was in the Pre Hire Phase while my vehicle background check was being processed. Once cleared, then my status changed to Offer Phase with a job offer, that took 3.5-4 weeks.
I like it better than a carrier 😉👍🏻. Basically sorting packages is the main job I do. Then correct any mis-sent or mis-shipped packages 📦 sent to us and then get them to their correct destination 😁👍🏻 Then you have out and ends to do here and there. It’s pretty much a routine job no matter if you work early morning shift or afternoon shift ending with dispatch at the end of the day. Thank you for watching 😁👍🏻
Depends on how fast your criminal background check gets cleared 😉👍🏻 This can take 1-8 weeks. Then they’ll schedule and email you your hire and orientation dates with instructions on what to do 😉👍🏻
wow i got the job offer for MHA just today. i accepted it. i handover my id badge to postmaster and sign the resign form. did they going to give me new id badge and EIN number to login for bluelight. please let me know in your case.
Congrats 👍🏻! Yes they will issue another ID badge again and you’ll have the same EIN. They will provide you with the login instructions for lightblue. They will basically reactivate your existing account 😁😉👍🏻 and have you make a new password.
