I applied for CCA around May, and took fingerprints on June since then I never got an email for the next step, got tired of waiting, so then I canceled my application on the beginning of August and tried to apply again for CCA the same day, it took me till September 9th, I got an email to go to a final processing on September 11th, i already did fingerprints so i knew that had to be the last step, I entered with a group to do some paperwork and they gave me a date to go for orientation on the 21st! And I'm so excited because it took a looong wait to get a response back and was totally worth it!!

I feel like this when one door closes another one open and maybe you wasn’t suppose to get it that time but keep applying and you will get it the second time don’t give up
Hey Marie hope I can hear back from you so I can get a piece of mind. I applied for a CCA. On May 22 I got an email that said USPS conditional job offer. It said "Congratulations! Based on the information provided in your application and assessment results (if applicable), we are pleased to offer you the position of CITY CARRIER ASSISTANT" etc etc etc..... right after that I got another email to accept or decline job offer. Of course I accepted. Five days later I got another email that said pre-employment processing. I went to that on June 4th in the morning...there was like 8-9 other people. We signed paperwork has a basic interview, that took took less then 5 minutes with everyone in the room, watched a video that basically showed us about the job and also took my fingerprints. Its been about 5 days and I have not received any follow up and I am getting so anxious. What do you suggest I do, does it sound to you that I am on track in getting the job? Also checked the status of my application on my online profile and it says in process...offer phase (ext) do you have any idea what that means? Hope to hear back in a response.

@@kshon86 they will get back at you. Just remember that they do thorough backgrounds because you will be working with the government. It took me a while too. Dont forget to check your emails or HR people will call you. I got an email and a call from HR for my orientation. They should be calling or emailing you soon because the holidays are coming the post office will be super busy.

Don't quit coz it takes time and also you may want to see first if you will like the job. Its strenuous, long hours, you will work weekends and holidays. You will not be able to live a normal life.

Ok so right now I currently have an appointment for finger prints but I’d like to know why it says it might take 1-2 hours is the orientation included or why is it so long? Do they interview you at the spot? What should I expect at finger print process? I want to be better prepared. Also I use to have to two misdemeanors on my record, but the got expunged a couple years ago, should I mention that at the finger prints?

What city and state are you out of? I’m in CA. I applied for MHA today and got a score of 93, and I’m already dying for an email 😂 I also applied for MPA and got a 97, but it’s a temporary position. I’m deciding on which one, if I get offers...
MHA gets more benefits. MPA gets more money but it's a temporary job. There are many applicants they are processing so hang in there, the email will come. For the mean time start working out, the job is physically strenuous. The work is 6 days a week. Prepare yourself for the pain and pressure.
I've worked several PO jobs. The plant was theeeeee most horrible position. I'm waiting to go back to being a CCA again.They're not drug testing right now either.

I’m worried about what to wear going to do my fingerprints. I planned on dress pants, blouse and flats. Email says to wear proper footwear that covers entire foot. Would a nice blouse, jeans and boots or tennis shoes be okay?
How long after your fingerprint session did you receive an invite to this next step? I came in for my fingerprints on 10/31/20 and it's been almost two weeks. We weren't told anything about next steps or anything after the session was over. We were just escorted out of the building and that was that. 🤷🏼♀️

In July and went in for an interview and fingerprinting on August 12 and She told me that I would receive and email to complete my background check, I did. I’m just curious because I scored an 100 on the 473 Exam and my application status still say in process/offer ext. She did tell me that the process takes 4to 6 weeks. I’m still waiting patiently. Is this how long the process really takes?
I finally got a offer to accept the position, I did and finished all the required stuff only to be told by the Office Manager at the Local PO that there isnt a position avail and I would be put on hold for 4 months. After that I will have to apply again. Its now 4 month and the job i was given isnt there??

Good Afternoon!! I just got an email regarding the Conditional offer. I accepted the job on the USPS site. I just completed the background and vehicle check. Also sent an email to schedule fingerprint scan. I originally applied on 9/20/21 and received the email today 9/29/21. I noticed in the email it didn’t specify like a start date/hire date.

My friend said he got in without doing any fingerprint submission but that was 4-5 months ago. I just got my fingerprints. But since I work with chemicals, my right hand finger prints barely showed up on the screen. I think I wore them away. I am reading the comments below, I guess two to three weeks of waiting is pretty standard. I guess that's why they say, Don't quit your job yet !! :)

Hello! Question? What does the effective date mean? I received an email starting my application has been reached and the next effective date is for the end of this month. I’m not sure what it means. The letter requested that I have 24 hours to accept the position but that was it. I’m so confused because it didn’t mention anything else as far as orientation. Any advice?

I think now with covid they do not interview. In my opinion they would not WASTE the time asking for fingerprints and not interview you. Also why waste the time to fingerprint a person and THEN ask them to do a drug test. They would drug test first IF the position calls for it. So I feel like if they ask you for Fingerprints you're hired. Just wait for orientation email

It depends on the branch you applied and how soon they need the manpower. My hiring process took 2 months even though I live in the busiest city in USA.
Who and how do I contact someone from the post office in regards I did get a job offer phase ext. but did not get the email job offer conditional letter email to accept the CCA job. I did get the GIS background check email but how do go about accepting the job if they did not send the job offer conditional letter email to accept the job?
Something with minds is weird, I did the background check, it’s saying it’s in the offer phase EXT I never got a letter to due fingerprints at all, my test scores was 97 and 100
I had a similar issue until I looked at the attachment in my offer letter and it had a usps email address to set up fingerprint appointment so it might be that.

You can decline the offer. Email HR if you are going to your fingerprints tell the person you are not going to take the position since its too far from you.
Good afternoon, I applied for PSE clerk on September 23, 2021. I received an offer/acceptance email on October 18, 2021, a fingerprint request on October 18.2021 and I submitted my background form on October 18, 2021. I submitted my fingerprints on October 27th, 2021 and my background was completed on November 19th, 2021. I looked on my USPS profile account and it says in process/offer phase (ext) … Do you have any idea how long it will be before I receive my orientation start date??

It means you are considered to be hired unless they rescind or cancel the position. When you receive an orientation letter, it means you are hired. Wishing you get the job!

Ok so right now I currently have an appointment for finger prints but I’d like to know why it says it might take 1-2 hours is the orientation included or why is it so long? Do they interview you at the spot? What should I expect at finger print process? I want to be better prepared. Also I use to have to two misdemeanors on my record, but the got expunged a couple years ago, should I mention that at the finger prints?
Fingerprints is just literally taking your fingerprint. No need to mention about your past.

What city and state are you out of? I’m in CA. I applied for MHA today and got a score of 93, and I’m already dying for an email 😂 I also applied for MPA and got a 97, but it’s a temporary position. I’m deciding on which one, if I get offers...
MHA gets more benefits. MPA gets more money but it's a temporary job. There are many applicants they are processing so hang in there, the email will come. For the mean time start working out, the job is physically strenuous. The work is 6 days a week. Prepare yourself for the pain and pressure.

Do they count the weekend for the 5 days to do fingerprints because I got a notice on 10 Thursday and went Tuesday 15th. I haven’t heard anything and now it’s Friday 18th

I’m worried about what to wear going to do my fingerprints. I planned on dress pants, blouse and flats. Email says to wear proper footwear that covers entire foot. Would a nice blouse, jeans and boots or tennis shoes be okay?

How long after your fingerprint session did you receive an invite to this next step? I came in for my fingerprints on 10/31/20 and it's been almost two weeks. We weren't told anything about next steps or anything after the session was over. We were just escorted out of the building and that was that. 🤷🏼♀️

In July and went in for an interview and fingerprinting on August 12 and She told me that I would receive and email to complete my background check, I did. I’m just curious because I scored an 100 on the 473 Exam and my application status still say in process/offer ext. She did tell me that the process takes 4to 6 weeks. I’m still waiting patiently. Is this how long the process really takes?

I finally got a offer to accept the position, I did and finished all the required stuff only to be told by the Office Manager at the Local PO that there isnt a position avail and I would be put on hold for 4 months. After that I will have to apply again. Its now 4 month and the job i was given isnt there??

Good Afternoon!! I just got an email regarding the Conditional offer. I accepted the job on the USPS site. I just completed the background and vehicle check. Also sent an email to schedule fingerprint scan. I originally applied on 9/20/21 and received the email today 9/29/21. I noticed in the email it didn’t specify like a start date/hire date.
Can i ask if you got your email for fingerprints within the 5 days of background check? I did everything but haven’t received any fingerprint info
Once you get the job, they will email you to come in and you will choose your start date.

They separate them according to the exam score. The highest one gets to pick the schedule they want. The lowest gets what's left.

It shouldn't you're a mail handler you shouldnt be driving anything. If anything maybe a forklift "current employee." Wouldn't lie to ya.
MHA doesn't drive a truck. You can drive a forklift just like 2Faced said, but you need a training for that first.

Seasonal or temporary employees don't have a permanent hours, it all depends on the needs of your branch.

My friend said he got in without doing any fingerprint submission but that was 4-5 months ago. Every time I email the email provided to make an appointment it gives me a failed to send message so I’m completely lost here on who I should contact. I just got my fingerprints. But since I work with chemicals, my right hand finger prints barely showed up on the screen. I think I wore them away. I am reading the comments below, I guess two to three weeks of waiting is pretty standard. I guess that's why they say, Don't quit your job yet !! :)

Hello! Question? What does the effective date mean? I received an email starting my application has been reached and the next effective date is for the end of this month. I’m not sure what it means. The letter requested that I have 24 hours to accept the position but that was it. I’m so confused because it didn’t mention anything else as far as orientation. Any advice?
Effective date means you have to accept the offer letter within 24 hrs you receive it. So keep on checking your email and make sure you accept it 😊

I think now with covid they do not interview. In my opinion they would not WASTE the time asking for fingerprints and not interview you. Also why waste the time to fingerprint a person and THEN ask them to do a drug test. They would drug test first IF the position calls for it. So I feel like if they ask you for Fingerprints you're hired. Just wait for orientation email

Before you applied for a job there are branches stated there right? You can call the USPS branch that you applied for.

Something with minds is weird, I did the background check, it’s saying it’s in the offer phase EXT I never got a letter to due fingerprints at all, my test scores was 97 and 100
I had a similar issue until I looked at the attachment in my offer letter and it had a usps email address to set up fingerprint appointment so it might be that.

You can decline the offer. Email HR if you are going to your fingerprints tell the person you are not going to take the position since its too far from you.

I received an offer/acceptance email on October 18, 2021, a fingerprint request on October 18.2021 and I submitted my background form on October 18, 2021. I submitted my fingerprints on October 27th, 2021 and my background was completed on November 19th, 2021. I looked on my USPS profile account and it says in process/offer phase (ext) … Do you have any idea how long it will be before I receive my orientation start date??
