Here's an agonizing sounding run idea that might be worse than H2 Jackal snipers. Halo reach but every enemy is a Skirmisher with a UNSC sniper rifle.

"Halo 3: ODST but Every Enemy is an ODST" would be an incredible video, I wonder if it would be less work to do a thing that just told the game 'hey spawn them when the dropship touches down' then implement new animations, but maybe it would be the other way around or just not possible idk. Another thing I'd absolutely love, and wouldn't require any modding, could be a blind run through of Halo Wars. That would be amazing, it's so good.

I would recommend the garish goblin ce world record that the developers reacted to. I believe it's the 1:06 one just before the 1:05 run he posted. Because he explains the tricks he does which dramatically improves the value of the stream

Can you beat Halo CE as The MODSC (Master Orbital Drop Shock Chief)? Basically, Spartans never existed, and it's just ODST'S and some random ahh marines, can you finish the fight?
If it's totally lore accurate, wouldn't all plasma weapons to unshielded humans basically be like mini fuel rod cannons considering how devastating plasma weapons are said to be in lore making all weapons of the type effectively one shit kills unless you're a Spartan with shields? Also, wouldn't wrath mortars deliver enough energy to vaporize everything within a 20 meter radius of their destination zone?
They should certainly be FAR more explosive and melty.
Ways i would modify it is to slag vehicles, create massive craters with dirt explosively thrown out hundreds of feet, any weapons in its radius would not be thrown but simply disappear, enemies within 50' would lose their shields, and any characters dead center to the blast are removed from the map, while ones between 1-2 radii get a "on fire" effect. And double the radius of the visible effect in the first place
Or massive spikes in sand areas because it creates glass on impact
