Yeah, another rant lol :D
I have to disagree with you on one thing though.. You always say "kids games for kids" and suggest that kids don't want realism and grown up people want realism.. this couldn't be further from the truth.
In fact those most vocal about the game not getting too realistic are grown up people..
Most kids don't mind realism they get just excited about the game and play it no matter what.. They have a incredible fantasy and always expect way too much.. often very realistic things that could never be made a thing ingame..
In fact I know many kids that play really realistic. Also, the second largest age group watching my channel, watching me play really realistic, is kids.. the largest group is young adults.
There are far fewer "older" grown ups watching my channel than I'd hoped.
Also, I know a lot of people in the FS community, and many of the older people (lets say 35 and older) actually don't want realism.. Those are the types that work all day and play FS just to relax an hour or two every so often and can't be bothered to play with seasons, mr and other stuff that keeps them from doing whatever they want to do.. :D
So in short, I think its wrong that you always blame the kids.. The "kids" are possibly the reason why Giants makes the game run on older PC's, but not really the reason why the game isn't more real.
The reason why the game isn't more real is simply because there are too few people that play the game that actually demand such a high levels of realism, no matter of age.
And as I said, especially for seasons for example, the "seasons haters" (those who always get very vocal about how terrible seasons is and that they never buy the game if seasons is in) are NOT kids.. :D
All that said.. The typical "9 year old on dads laptop" is also a misconception and just because Giants said that years ago I don't get why people always read so much into it..
First of all, most "kids" have better PC's than needed for FS.. :D Second, see BulletBill and many others, its the young adulds and even older grown ups, the ones that mod and such, that have the bad PC's... :D

modelleicher Haha, yeah you are right on many levels there.
I guess I just go from my own analytics no kids watch my channel so my subconscious assumed that kids must not enjoy MR.
The real reason I blame kids is because by and large, the younger person makes up the majority of the Console crowd and I blame consoles for many things, it’s too generic, I know.
You are probably correct in your assumptions also in that kids probably have pretty good laptops for most of the population.
However I do not believe I’m reading too much into that statement. I see it as a general statement for their design philosophy.
Giants has made a simple game and it will always have to be simple and if they ever add complexity they will have to find a way to turn it off, so realistically, I’m looking at never seeing actual row crops in the game, which is what started this rant and that makes me sad.

The Sim Station thankyou, also loved the rant, think a lot feel the same, like they introducing horses into the game, to me why not improve what you got I mean you can’t even feed or water the chickens the farmer should be able to carry a bucket of corn etc or water to fill chickens to improve egg production, and seasons is a must, 😤😤
