  • Inline skating in the Black Forest (Schwarzwald) in Germany is great! In this video I was skating on a perfect bike trail (Enztaler Radweg or Enz Valley Bike trail) following the river Enz for about 20 km or 13 miles. Although road conditions are perfect and cars are not allowed, it's a quite challenging trail, with lots of up- and downhill sections and therefore best suitable for experienced skaters who are in good physical shape and with sufficient speed control during downhill. Skating uphill is very demanding but also providing you a high intensity interval training, boosting your VO2 max!

Thanks for your support and yes it is! I burned a lot of calories and definitely needed a beer afterwards to “refuel” myself....;-)

Very good video, I enjoyed it a lot, I really like those roads, it's a shame that there are no hills in Miami, almost everything is flat. Be safe

Thanks for watching and your kind words! I’m dealing with the same situation when I’m back in the Netherlands...as flat as a pancake! :-)

Thrilled to see you skate in Germany. I hope you're having/had a great time. The standard width of the paved trails is indeed quite narrow for downhill slopes, so a partner on a bike is the perfect companion. And you look like you can easily keep up with each other :D

Thanks for watching and your kind comment! I know my technique isn’t flawless and I’m still trying to improve. Any advice is welcome! So what do you mean exactly by “close my foot on landing”?

Czy cała trasa od Enzklösterle jest wyasfaltowana?
