Great explanation how UZI is blocked. Greetings from Poland. In here we don't have possibility to privately own full auto, but conversions to semi are less complicated. For example in UZI only a small metal plate is welded in front of selector to block switching to auto. That's all what is needed. But such modification to treated as production of new weapon, and new number needs to be stamped (even one different sign).
When I was a young man collecting firearms I learned the hard way about gunsmiths one time and it only took once. My regular ffl works out of home and was cheaper than anyone on transfers he is a 1911 wizard as in he makes the custom 1911 pistols you see on social media and major motion pictures using caspian parts I ask if he could do some work on a siaga rifle in 223 that I bought that bubba had started to modify. After purchasing all the relevant parts i asked if he would like to build it he said sure. Needless to say almost a year later I said hey just give me my parts back. I then sent it to an ak specialist as in that’s all he builds. About 35 days later I have my rifle and it is perfect. Always go to the specialist.
Also the lower lip below the firing pin on the semi auto bolt is ground off to make it harder to convert to full auto fire it would jam after the first shot.
Dam what a lucky man , semi auto UZI. Ok that’s awesome for sure. Loved to have one. But to own a FULL auto UZI. dam , 😍 it’s got To be one of the best full auto guns to own hands down imo. Besides a tommy. Don’t care much about new stuff like I do older pre 86
Do you still do the modifications to semi to auto specs? Open trunnions for smg bbls, standard auto ramp without the ring, & grip mount back to proper 8mm, etc….. I have a group ind sbr I’d like some work done to. Ohhh…. And Smg spec the sling swivel so it doesn’t spin!!

Hi Richard, by chance do you know what the Uzi Pros are like internally? I am trying to get my state's Handgun Roster Board to add it to the roster, however, they argue that there are not enough differences between the Uzi Pro and the one already banned.
@tamarinds Maryland has an "assault weapons" ban. One category of an assault weapon is an, "assault pistol". They define assault pistol with a list. Most of the list has specific makes and models, regardless of manufacturer. However, one item merely states, "UZI semiautomatic pistol". When the law was passed, this umbrella term could only be referring to UZI Pistols produced or imported by IMI, Action Arns Imports , Vector Arms, and Mossberg. If one can demonstrate mechanical differences between a banned firearm and one they believe should be added to the Roster, then the state cannot call it a copycat. Because of mechanical differences, the UZI PRO is now on the roster.
You mentioned your remarking service for the left side to read UZI SMG. Time/cost. I left you a phone message this am. I have a SWD slotted bolt married to a model B receiver on my form 4. If you don't want to fool with it a reply would be appreciated.
I don't know if I got back to you or not. Chemo has been hitting me pretty hard. Cost would depend on what you want engraved and what type of refinish you want. Simple engraving and refinishes I am trying to get dome withing three months.
Wait what 12k to 15k ? That must be the lower only. No way it’s 100% of it and that price. I’ve always heard or seen double that price. Hell even a Mac is still like $6k last time I seen one local for sale
@@jasojeep I would imagine one with a register bolt would be more , ? Then one without cause you can’t replace the bolt on one that’s damaged correct ? But either way. Doesn’t 12-15k sound like half price on a Uzi ?
@@jasonjackson329 I paid $13,500 back in 2018 for a registered receiver. At that time they were a little more than registered bolts, I’m not sure what the current UZI market looks like. I’m pretty sure they are less than $20k. Richard currently has my gun fixing a poorly done conversion. I was getting lots of jams because only the barrel restrictor was cut during the full auto conversion.
@@jasojeep o dam , maybe just the site or place I had seen years ago was just trying to be a rip off. No surprise lol that definitely seems like a fair price given the loops we have ti jump thru ti even get one. Most people seem to really just want more current stuff. Or the obvious AR /Ak. Thank you Richard. Rest easy gunbuddy

Serum the nuts and bolts of guns, how they're made and what a skilled gunsmith can do is amazing. Thanks.

Do you assemble semi auto uzis?
I bought a IMI parts kit what other items do I need to buy besides a receiver to legally make this a semi-auto
You need a semi auto bolt assembly and a barrel.
is there any difference in the trunnion & front end in the semi auto vs full auto guns?
I explain the difference in the following video. ruclips.net/video/YkLmwrBVFPc/видео.html
