    Yes sir during my graduation final days i came across an interview conducted by TCS in our college campus. 1st they provided us with a short slideshow presentation about TCS, their work culture etc then they took an aptitude test, from the test the shortlisted candidates are called for an interview, i was one of them. In my interview they didnt ask me much about technical terms just a formal intro & where do i want to start my career. I said that i want to enter into banking feild
    ( I m from commerce background) then they asked me then why TCS, i replied that as tcs also have their reach with customers associated with banking. I gave this type of reply bcz earlier in their slideshow presentation they had shown their working links with banking. And I had mentioned them few more things & showed my enthusiasm & interest to learn further in this field with TCS. And luckily from our college around 30 candidates got selected & I was one of them but later on I didnt join TCS bcz i wanted to prepare for competitive exams & want to start my career purely in banks. But anyways it was a good experience to have for the 1st tym

    Good going Supriyo!
    I totally agree with you.
    In my very first after graduation (for Siemens Ltd [third party]) the interviewer hardly asked me any technical questions.
    He started with my past, and why did I do Btech in electronics and where do I see myself.
    Followed by a few technical questions and later it was more of a genuine conversation.. like the one you have when you talk to someone for the very first time.. which place do you belong to, acha what about parents, etc
    By the end of the interview he was like: "okay, so you've guitar as your hobby? I tried learning it in my college days, it's not that easy to master it isn't it? "
    "Yes sir, it's just been 2 months for me; yes it's difficult to stick to the practice routine; but once you start having fun with it, it gets easier"
    __________x___________
    Is there a way to get in touch with you on Telegram, Supriyo?
    I had a few questions to ask for Quant preparations
    Thank you.

    Sooo I am a student who always wanted to do Mechanical Enggenieering from school days and my family also supported tho we were not that financialy strong But after my 10th i took science stream and also started self preparing for the JEE Mains but i failed at that time I was depressed cause I had no Plan B then I thought of coaching but parents didn't want to waste another year so They told no.
    After that i took admission in B.Sc my percentage was above 75 so i got major in Physics but B. Sc is not the thing I wanted to do. Then after very frustrated 2 years I don't know how i came to liking about Financial Sector and started gathering knowledge about it. Now my last sem exams are over few days back and I have started preparing for banking exams.

    Sir I have completed my graduation(zoology). So when they ask me why you want to do this bank job why not MSC and other higher qualifications. And also I am not from commerce background and no knowledge about economics as my qualification says. To be honest I want to do bank job for my financial condition and also it gives quick results. But my uncle don't agree with me . He told that if you cannot secure higher percentage like 90% in your graduation you can't get bank jobs because these are so tough. He told me to have higher studies like MSC. But I want to prove myself and want to be a banker.I want to prove him that marksheet doesn't matter your knowledge matters . So sir when they ask me why you joined bank sir what to answer?

    • @SupriyoPanda
      @SupriyoPanda  4 года назад +6

      your uncle is wrong and you will prove it. Try to frame a reason for the Panel - Banks always need people from all fields because bank's customers are not only commerce people so with your knowledge you will understand people of other domains as well which most of the commerce grads cannot do. Also say that your analytical skills have been developed & you like sales, marketing and exploring new places. Those traits are valuable in banks.

    Sir I have completed my graduation (botany) in 2018. Then I took admission in m.sc... Soon I realized I don't want to go for phd. I qualified GATE this year, but still I don't want to go for project assistant kind of jobs.
    I always wanted to get a govt job..after graduation I appeared in ssc,niacl assistant,lic assistant,esic udc,ibps clerk etc. Never successful. But I decided 2020 has to be the year I get a job. I am positive about claering sbi clerk prelims this time and preparing for mains now. Hopefully I will get my m.sc degree also in next few months.
    Sir how will I explain the interviewers about my story? Even after m.sc why I want to work in a bank..
    I always wanted a government job for myself..always wanted to Clear SSC n bank exams.. Getting a job in sbi will be a dream come true. How will I frame my answer?
    Thank you for the video😊

    • @SupriyoPanda
      @SupriyoPanda  4 года назад +4

      you need to show the panel that your diverse experience will be useful somehow, the panel always wants to select people from a variety of walks of life- bank has customers from every field, you must prove to them that you are interested in finance, sales and marketing. Embrace your failures. Failing is not bad so if you can show your hard work made you reach that interview room they will know that a hard working person is in front of them who never gave up and am sure they will accept your story. Good luck.

    hello,I am Vikram Singh, i have law background and i am preparing for Sebi exam. Basically, I was reading lot of books about investment to understand and grow money for me instead of other way around. Meanwhile my father thought to enrol me in Global financial Market programme. Its a comprehensive course about financial market. So, read and studying about all the subjects peeked my interest. i wanted to understand the world of financial market and most interestingly about stock market. So in order to widen my understanding about the market i decided to become SEBI grade A official. This job not just align with my goal to become part of bigger entity that not only revolutionise lives but also contribute to securities market.

      that was done to unsettle you. Always tell a subject that you know very well, 1 good answer is "sir I very well prepared how I can add value to your bank and why I am ideally suited to this job"- be prepared to answer but if they deviate and say something you are not sure about just smile and say I don't know sir. Be positive and never show you are nervous. Saying no is ok, the smile on your face should never leave. Let them push you, just remember - if I get in then ok if I lose then also ok - have that attitude. Good luck brother.

In a big company they need people from all fields because the bank does not only give loans to 1 type of person- you can help to understand that field from which you come since you understand that industry which a commerce girl/guy would not understand. But even I have a good knowledge about these three subjects I could not selected in EAMCET , yet I don't lose hope because I know what is my strength. So, I decided to join in graduation in the stream of Computer Science. Now Iam in the second year of my graduation. In the next month onwards we have campus drives in my college virtually. So, Iam preparing for it and Iam confident that I can crack the interview. As Computer Science and banking is completely different I can't say about my interest towards banking to them.

      Srinivas, your story is authentic and truthful so nothing to worry about. Crack the IT job and see if you like the work there, if you find your interest is in finance you can just say that to the Panel. And if you find yourself in a bank interview directly you can always say that IT knowledge is essential to every bank & role of IT will only grow in the future. Good luck.

    Make a video abt LIC AAO SPECIALIST. . .

    I don't get LIC AAO IT previous year pattern papers. . . .

    • @SupriyoPanda
      @SupriyoPanda  4 года назад +1

      No Ashwini, earlier also we used to have IT specialists in the AAO recruitment so this is not the first time.
      Phase 1(Prelims) for this exam is the same as other exams - Reasoning, Quant and English (100 questions in 1 hour.)
      For Phase 2 (Mains) the paper becomes different for Generalist/IT/CA etc. and there will be 90 marks devoted to IT knowledge - this will be quite basic, mostly questions that you have already covered in your semester exams that's why separate papers are not available for this online. The pattern will be similar to Specialist Officer (IT) posts of SBI (SBI SO) - you can Google for those to get an idea. Something like this link:
      www.mockbank.com/bulletin/sbi-specialist-officer-previous-year-papers/
      I'm busy with a few other videos, if I get time definitely I will make one on this exam.

    In case the interviewer do not ask any such question ( where I can narate the story) in that case how can we influence him/her to ask such question in an rbi interview ?

    • @SupriyoPanda
      @SupriyoPanda  4 года назад +15

      This is where you need to "guide" the interviewer and DRIVE the interview so he/she asks that. For example, in my SBI interview I really wanted to bring up the comments made by one of the most charismatic ex SBI Chiefs Shri R K Talwar (he is legend, MUST read his life story) regarding Lead Bank scheme where he said "Let other banks choose and we will follow" and showed his leadership of letting others choose first. So, when I got a question about Agriculture I drove the interview by starting off with Shri Talwar's comments and the Panel was highly impressed. Then I used the Lead bank scheme in my answer. So, you need to think HOW is your story going to fit in. In every question just think if you can start with that type of comment, there will be many opportunities, it will come naturally with a bit of practice.
