My sister got her UFE done by Dr. Lipman and has been living her best life since. She lives in ATL so it was easier for her. I live in Miami and am in the process of trying to get it done by him as well. Everything he describes in this video is so true. We thought we were all just "waterfall bleeders" in my family, but my sister is the first to break the chain while keeping her uterus.

Oh my gosh, Dr.Lipton was super informative as was the interviewer! I was very confused as to Dr. Williams’ comments on the subject of fibroids. It seemed she wanted to digress and critique a fibroid specialist who is trained on preserving the uterus with the technique discussed (UFE). It seemed his overall approach is to work together and unfortunately, it is clear that even just one extra doctor on board in this discussion, redirected the conversation toward a possible dissentious outcome. Thank you so very much for working toward equity and vision for women’s total healthcare, Dr. Lipton. -I’m 54 female & just now exploring issues with heavy periods and now, constipation...had an ultrasound and will be receiving my results shortly! God Bless you and thank you again for your wealth of experience with a basically, non-invasive treatment modality! ♥️

Thank you for all your content! I have gotten so much needed information before going into this. You are very much appreciated. I am currently on day 23 of my "period" with heavy-duty bleeding. Just got diagnosed with fibroids today. Thanks for putting me at ease!

    Your Chanel educated me!
I have three different fibroids but never heard of UFE in my life! Especially in UK🇬🇧
I was fitted with a mirena coil in 2010 during a laparoscopy for endometriosis only December 2021 did the mirena dislodge after being renewed in feb2021 due to the heavy bleeding
Having a mirena for all these years with the hormones enables them to grow and the endometriosis that we thought had come bk was purely a side affect from the mirena, FIBROIDS
Blood clots, hospitalised and heavy heavy bleeding for, im going onto 4.5 months.
It’s a lot, especially when I should be freely thinking about babies In my 20’s I’m stuck with this decision.
The world really doesn’t value the woman, the first was making us pay for sanitary products as though we chose it and enjoy it. Is it fair to say I’m just mad as hell right now 🤦🏾‍♂️

Thank you so much for this. This is very informative. I have 4 fibroids and they’re not small. My gyno did not look into it until i requested for a blood test to find out if im low on iron and turns out I’m now anemic because of the heavy loss of blood for a year now. That caught my gyno’s attention and now i’m trying out the Depo Provera. But I am debating on this UFE treatment that I’ve heard about. Not sure if they have it in Canada.

@Atlanta Fibroid Center : I was diagnosed with fibroids couple years a go and the ob-gyn told me to have hysterectomy. She gave me pills to stop my heavy bleeding and even scheduled the surgery right away. I refused it (thank God). Now I don't have pain whatsoever and any other symptom, but an enlarged belly, my waist line has increased like never before. I am not sure if the fibroid has grown so much and should I have UFE procedure to kill the growth of fibroidS. Undecided

Really insightful thank you. Quick question how about a 2cm anterior intramural fibroid, would that impact conception or fertility?

The lack of information and interest by so many Dr.s about this "common" problem. No added information given, not a lot of exploration of options - just " if it isn't problematic, then we will give you an ultrasound and monitor it's growth." The end. Out of the office in less than 10mins.
I lost a child. My fibroids have grown and I am stuck with this distended abdomen. Hard. Uncomfortable. My back hurts. I pee more often. Sometimes my breathing is affected. And it's worrying! My Mom has stage 4 endometrial cancer, other family members has womb issues.
I am 42 still would like to be able to consider having a child. My OB-Gyn has warned me against having children. Why I live I don't have great insurance and I feel like a nuisance for asking or questioning.
Also it seems to be- if you don't experience super heavy periods- then whatever.
I had intensely painful periods since I was a young woman. I used to miss school every month. Painful cramping and sweats after sex...no formal diagnosis.
After a DNC many years I found out I had not just one fibroid- I had many!!! I found out not from my Dr. I found out from the lab technician that did my ultrasound.
    This is so frustrating.

Can an ovarian cyst and UFE be performed during the same surgical procedure? One after the other. Will it be just as effective as someone who has already gone through menopause

    Hey Dr. Lipman
I have been in pain for years now with my period, the level has now gotten to real high level to deal with. My question is for me, the pain is only on the right side, what does that mean?. I am only 41 and I don’t want to do surgery what would you suggest?

Do I take it out? I have a 13cm fibroid with no symptoms, other than bloating and pressure. I don't feel pain anymore but my Tommy is big! 😩 and they say it's too large for a Laparoscopic procedure and I would have to have a myomectomy

Please help, I’ve been suffering with constipation I had colonoscopy, I drink 2 litres of water a day and I eat a high fibre diet. I found out last year I have fibroids, and the gynaecologist told me I don’t need a surgery because my fibroids are only 3 cm. My next appointment is next month and I will have a mirena coil inserted. Is mirena coil good for fibroids? Is it going to help with my constipation?

I'm diagnosed with submucosal fibroids on my left side, the largest is 4×4 centimeters. don't have any pain however I do have extremely heavy periods that last for about 5 days. My doctor recommends a total hysterectomy, buts thats not an option for me at 40 years old. I'm thinking about a myomectomy.

Try UFE. Surgery you up to see if you qualify for the Procedure done on your wrist or on your thigh.

What’s highly misleading about UFE is this…women already in menopause are not considered candidates for this procedure because we “are not bleeding.” WHAT?! We still have pain, discomfort and other issues. My fibroid is HUGE….size of a 16-week pregnancy. Has finally reached the point of constant discomfort and distended abdomen and aching. Only offered hysterectomy as an option. Refused this option. Please tell me why I have NO OPTION to preserve my uterus….please tell me how many complete limbs and/or organs are totally removed because of a BENIGN tumor??!! Think about that! I am frustrated. Refusing this procedure to menopausal women is discriminatory.

And it's quick and fast for them to do. So sad that some doctors make women feel that they have no other options when there are so many out there.
