I watch your videos when I see a new one pop up, not necessarily because I’m interested in the object of the video, but because I know I’m going to hear some incredible playing and killer tones! Awesome playing man!
That is an absolutely YES on the uploading it to the cloud question and thanks for another great video John! Absolutely stellar content man, love your channel so much.
Fingers crossed for the upcoming Fractal Dumble video. The little harmonies in the lead lines in this clip were so beautiful, it was joyous. Really nice.
I see a lot of people bashing the QC. I borrowed a friend's for a month and thought it was great. But I've never used a helix or fractal as a point of comparison. For a luddite like me I found it really user friendly so great for those new to modellers. Granted there needs to be more effects but they'll come in time. Just my two cents for those thinking about getting one.
Do I want you to upload a Dual Dumble patch to the QC cloud?! Duh… yah! Even though I don’t have one now, I’ll have one by the end of the week, so appreciate the share, brother!
Please drop the patch into the folder John. Just recently picked up this unit and your patch would be very helpful. Thanks for your work and amazing playing.
Great video. Now PLEASE, please, do a side by side comparison with the Helix/ hx stomp to see if you can match the tone. Maybe without the delays. Please do the same licks one after the other. Add any compressor/ effect that brings you the closest.
Bassman's are really special. If the GAS ever strikes again you can check out a silverface for fairly cheap... I'm also glad you're finally hard panning amps! Makes headphones sound much better and makes the sound guys fairly miserable, so that's a win-win in my book.
Since you have row 1 & 3 panned hard left and right, Does the Tape Delay (Stereo) collapse even though you have the ping pong turned on? Thanks John I appreciate you!
Awesome as always. The tone Sounds so much better than the fractal vid you did recently. How do you find the feel of the QC vs fractal? I found it feels like I’m playing my tube amps compared the the cold hard feeling I was getting with the fractal.
@@franki68 I agree. Kemper was the first to win me over in the feel department. QC feels a bit better. But yes I agree compared to the helix, stomp , fractal , boss etc it’s night and day to me on the feel. No mater how much tweaking I did on those I just couldn’t get them to feel like I was playing a amp and I couldn’t get rid of the digital cold fizz unless I made the presets really dark. Actually the helix was not to bad and was able to get sounding smoother and more organic than the fractal. That’s not to say they aren’t awesome units. They are. I also hated having to plug them into computers to make editing easier. When I’m on stage and want to tweak something or make a preset on the fly it’s so easy and just sounds and feels right almost immediately
Wow. Are we doing our best John Mayer imitation here? Why does everyone...even Rick Beato... seem like they are selling out when they are so capable of making music that confronts all these trite standards? Where are the composers from which the next Mahavishnu or Heavy Weather or the Breaker Brothers "Out of the Loop" or James Farm's "Chronos" or Rosenwinkle's "Enemies of Energy" going to come from if capable players are all playing polite crowd-pleasing pop?
Nice tone as usual. Quite a bit of fiddling in this video. I would rather edit on my huge PC screen than that relatively tiny touchscreen. It looks cumbersome and slow. I can't wait to receive my far better Fractal FM9 complete with free (large) PC Editor. The on-unit editor is better with the QC but I plan to make about 5-10 custom go-to presets and be done with it.
@@DestinMcWhorter OH, OK, got it. So you have to pay full price now and maybe, possibly, eventually if you cross your fingers and pray, they will give you some of the functionality that Fractal offers TODAY- for less money. Last I checked, it does not come with any of their famous plug-ins and you can't even download your own, already purchased Neural plug-ins. Major fail. Even if they did all of this, their effects don't come close to what is offered in the FM9. And the FM9 costs less and is significantly better IMO.
@@MOAB-UT what you don't seem to understand is the touchscreen interface is really good and while the PC editor is welcomed it's not a priority so not huge deal. Some of the things they've added so far I suppose were higher priority.
@@DestinMcWhorter What do you mean I don't understand? Everybody knows that my plumber knows they have a decent interface which they borrowed from line 6 helix.. That's a given but it doesn't justify the cost. I would take one with a PC editor any old day. I don't even care so much just about the editor I'll make 5 to 10 custom presets and be done with it you're obsessing over a non issue really. Hands down the bottom line tone coming out of the fractal and its numerous cabinets and effects is far far superior. And everyone knows this.
I love this, please add it on the cloud that would be amazing!

Same! No interest in amp modelling, every interest in juicy strat tones!

Definitely upload to the cloud
I’ve gotten so many best tones out of the Quad Cortex that I can’t imagine using anything else.
Absolutely! Great tone! Please upload to the QC cloud!
Really nice tine! Love to see this in the cloud.
GREAT tone and playing as always. Please upload it to the cloud🙏🏼
Awesome preset! Yes please drop on cloud!!

Superb playing as always

Great video, also I loved you in the iT crowd!
Yes please upload to the cloud!
This sounds credibly like a real tube amp, and the reverb on this one is yummy too.
Please upload! That sounds so good! Actually I have been looking for all your presets for the quad cortex.. but they are not in the cloud :(
great Sound man!!! i wish to have this sound on my board!!
Sounds good John!
Upload it! I'd love to check this one out...

Amazed !
Upload to cloud? Yes please 🤓
Sure, would appreciate a cloud copy. You might find a Zen drive in the cloud.
New sub
Beautiful mate
Quad - light years behind the Axefx - still selling plugins now a Rab !!!
If they’d just concentrate on the quad cortex they’d have a winner !! Lol
Thanks for the QC videos, very valuable information! I was wondering whether there is a reason why you choose to use TRS outs instead of XLRs?
Thanks John ! How can you hear stereo with only just 1 output cable ?
It’ll be nice to upload it on cloud.
How do you find the captures vs the models in the qc, do you notice a big difference in sound and feel?
Since you have row 1 & 3 panned hard left and right, Does the Tape Delay (Stereo) collapse even though you have the ping pong turned on? Thanks John I appreciate you!
What do you think about a ‘best of RUclips intros’ album you could put out on Bandcamp?
Im new with Neural DSP… under what name I can find this presets on he cloud?? Specific preset name??

I and many others find the qc the most amp like of the modellers

Please upload it. What's your handle in the QC cloud?
In addition, how do I purchase your presets?
No te mola la lista?
Squify 🤷🏼♂️
You largely sound the same, whatever you play through. You always seem to dial in the same/similar sound, regardless of gear.
So John, where would you place the looper in order to capture both separate lines of this stereo set up?
I see where it is. should have finished watching the video.
Why not sell the patch mate, your efforts gone in to it, I'm sure those on here asking for it would Happily pay 10 bucks or pounds

I believe they said they were close to releasing one for QC, thankfully won't be too much longer.
