I own Richard hammond’s book about the accident and recovery, and I have to say it is so interesting to read, and I learnt a lot. Definitely would recommend reading it to everyone

One being a janky old jet car with a suspect history and possibly a less than ideal testing location, and the other pushing the limits of a car that is anything but stable at the limit. Harris told the BBC execs months prior that the status quo was going to lead to a serious incident. Thinking back to the first one, It’s rather surprising it wasn’t cancelled back then. This was at least partly due to the terms Richard set for how the show would deal with it.
