I absolutely love the tots good guy doll! Got mine like 2 weeks back and the voice box came the same day so now he talks, my good guy logo is centered pretty nicely, only thing is his hands have black smudges from the factory? Idk what it was but it was able to come off with a little alcohol swob, also I feel like they gave mine to much hair but it’s only a little nit pick, I love this doll! Truly a dream come true
This is a dream come true to me I saw Child’s play as a kid and always wanted a Good guy doll that looked like the one in the movie. So this is perfect to me because it’s the closest we’ve ever got even better looking then dream rush
The hair definitely looks slightly too short at the back. The front is basically perfect. Overall, it's better than I was expecting the hair to be, so I'm happy, even though it's not 100% perfect length at the back. EDIT: Just finished watching the whole video. Seems that the hair is longer than I first thought at the back. Not bad! Looks great!
Just adding my 2 cents.. I just got mine today, love it! I also have a medicom 06' good guy as well.. I'd venture to say this one is actually better, quality wise, not to mention accuracy. My medicom doll's eyes are just painted on, whereas this one has real hard plastic eyes inside the sockets! As said in the video, it really doesn't get much better than this!
I have one on the way and think for $500 he looks very good. However, most of us were sold on the proto and were guaranteed that the production dolls would look just like it. And unfortunately that is not the case. My main complaint is the eyes... they're the gateway to the evil soul and very important in the look of the doll. The eye holes are a tad too small and angled awkwardly on some. Also while there is a starburst design on the eyes, it's not as prominent on these and does not give that deep translucent look. Next the neck is a tad too long, I'm hoping it can be modified. The hair is too short in parts, but like you said not really a dealbreaker... just have to manipulate the best you can. I thought it was also supposed to be a removable wig like in the film, but turns out they glued it down. Kind of bummed on that. The Good Guy logo on the overalls looks pretty good on your copy even though it's a bit low. I'd be happy enough with it, considering quality control is a factor here. I still feel a bit taken by the ol' bait and switch tactic since again most of us jumped the gun and bought this guy because of the prototype pictures. But I think I may just end up doing a head swap or at the very least an eye swap if possible, then adding a voicebox and battery compartment on him. Looking forward to seeing how this guy looks in person. Thanks for the in depth review!
These are exactly what I was thinking. Neck seems long and the eyes are a little weird. Karlaperalta_dolls makes AMAZING dolls that look much better. (Tots doll is amazing)
I couldn't have said this better myself I don't like my Doll but I'll keep him his face is a bit wider and the neck is too long and the eyes are all wrong I thought the prototype on the website would almost be the same version of the Doll I would receive but Hopefully maybe Mezco Toys will finally make a Good Guys Doll even if it is just a small 15 inch doll I already have my pizza face Chucky doll and my Scarred face Chucky doll but at least the dolls look PERFECT LOL I wonder with the new Child's play reboot will they release a doll for that version of the movie I hope that movie is good

You are wrong too. The prototype doll looks like crap compared to the final product. I cant believe you want the doll to look like crap. The eye holes are exactly the same as the movie doll. It uses the same mold from the movie, and they have cut along the eyelid lines perfectly. The angle is exactly the same on all the dolls. One eye looks different to the other...just like the movie doll. The starburst effect on the eyes is perfect. It's very prominent. It is just hard to see in some videos and photos because it makes the contrast and colors look weird.. But in real life, the starburst looks perfect. The eyes were not translucent in the first Childs Play movie, which this doll is based on, despite being labelled as a Childs Play 2 doll. The eyes on this TOTS doll look identical to the eyes on the Childs Play 1 doll. They did a perfect job. The neck is exactly the same length as the movie doll. I will be making a video proving this soon. The hair is exactly the right length. It looks too short at first, but when you comb it, it goes 2 inches longer, and ends up being the EXACT correct length. I was worried about the hair, but trust me, its PERFECT length after you brush it. My video will show this. The only problem is the hair parting. It's not in the correct position, and cant really be altered. I tried combing it in a different position, but then the wig was visible. The only way to alter it, is to remove the flue from the wig, then reposition it, and reglue it. The Good Guys logo is another thing they got wrong. It should definitely be higher up. All the TOTS ive seen have had the logo too low. I havent seen one that is perfectly positioned yet. The colour of the clothes is also perfect. Most videos and photos make it look so much different to what the color looks like in real life. Again, you're so wrong about wanting it to look like the crappy prototype, and the eyes. The final doll is perfect, and actually looks like the movie doll. The prototype doll looked like a mess.

Thank you for this video... helped me make my purchase. So many people filming reviews of this on potatoes and dont show everything except them holding it.. I wanted to wait for the ultimate chucky but I feel this one is good enough for what I want and I doubt i'll care to change the faceplates on the new one that often lol. I did get a voicebox from etsy, I hope I can add it without too much troubles.
AMAZING!!! I'm in Canada, I still haven't gotten any accessories or the tracking number for the doll. I'm guessing I wont get it until March.....which sucks. I had the Sideshow Toys Seed Of Chucky doll from 2003, It cost $500.00, I sold it last year for $5800.00!!! Who the hell pays that much for a doll? Apparently collectors do, so the ones saying the doll is too expensive is ludicrous. The market value jumps way up once these dolls are out of circulation. Also my Sideshow Chucky was limited. I'm not sure how many of the Trick Or Treat Studio dolls were made and if they will be a limited run. Anyways I can't wait to get this doll! Will look amazing in my horror room.
Yeah, I had that 1:1 scale Sideshow Seed of Chucky Doll too. It came out around 2008, not 2003(unless we are thinking of different dolls). It was limited to 1000 pieces. I paid £350 on release date, and sold it for £2000 a few years later(I'm not really a fan of scarred Chucky). There are about 10,000 of these TOTS Good Guys being made, so they wont be worth quite as much seeing as they arent going to be rare. But I dont care about that. I didn't buy this doll to sell later on. I'm keeping this one forever. I've always wanted a perfect Good Guys doll. I've owned customs, but they weren't quite as perfect as this. I hope TOTS make an evil Chucky from Childs Play 2 next! You will be very pleased when you get him! Looks a lot better in person. And dont forget to comb his hair!

The parting should be more in line with the outside of his eye, rather than the center of his eye, like it is on your doll. I just want to know if the hair parting can really be adjusted from its default position on your doll.

Dj Smith you made me think about that and you are right the foam might not last long at all, I think a better material would be silicone, silicone is heat resistant, very flexible and long lasting, I would hate to spend 500 on a doll just for it to fall appart over using it.
I don't understand why some people say this doll is not movie accurate. What are they comparing it to? This doll is based on Child's Play 1 from 1988 (although they advertise it as Child's Play 2, due to licensing issues). So... how is it not accurate?
Exactly and they are dumb because the mold used for the movie is the same one used for tots dolls and the clothing is also movie accurate. The hair can be messed with to make it more accurate but it is a good replica specifically for 500 bucks. Custom good guy dolls (made with 3D printed body parts) can go for 1000 to 3k in price.
The pocket in childs play 1 is also 1cm higher than on your doll. I cant remember if there are scenes where the pocket is slightly lower, but it wouldn't surprise me if there are. The position of the Good Guys text is different from scene to scene though, so that doesn't bother me.
SkemeKOS Yeah, several from the past couple days have all featured different pocket placements. Mine could be every so slightly lifted, but it’s a great middle-ground.
@@bloodbuddy9083 Definitely. The pocket on yours looks close enough to not look bad. I would've thought they would use a template on the pocket placement, because that's what I did for my own Good Guys costumes that I made. Luckily I can sew, so I will adjust the pocket placement on mine. Either way, the TOTS doll is incredible and these minor things will go unnoticed for most people. For the price, and the fact that its mass produced, we cant complain.

One question when you got yours delivered did you have to sign a waiver from ups before you could take it? I don’t like the idea of them leaving it on the front door for it to be stolen
Thomas Ennis I received an email with a UPS tracking number. It indicated that signature confirmation is required. I was pretty fortunate though because I had a day off when it was delivered and caught up with the delivery driver before he even reached my door lol.
I want to buy one of these trick or treat studio chucky's, but there's another guy who bought two chucky's from a guy called Erick Rivera. ER, basically does this doll, as well as evil face chucky, so two for the price of one and they look amazing.
I hoped I could have mine sit up next to my pillow but it is not possible. You should be careful with the foam because it can tear open when you pull on it when posing the doll. Personally I think that is a flaw. I hope he is as good on the inside then he is on the outside. My fear is that the foam isn't durable and that it will peel of. He is indeed heavy. I always have to pick him up like a real child.
Since you’ve had yours for a few weeks does any of the arms on yours feel loose at all? Like one of the joints are dislodged? Cus mine is like that on the right arm

Making Chucky's body out of foam was a horrible mistake. Foam disintegrates, and turns to dust over time. This is why most 80s/90s Miss Piggy Puppets don't exist anymore or are in bad shape. Everyone keeps saying that $500 is cheap for these, but honestly they should have been around $300. They are mass produced after all. He doesn't even have a voice box. Even the $100 Mezco Chucky dolls came with a voice box.
The reason why his hands, face and shoes(and body) look exactly like the ones in the movie, is because they are made from casts from the actual movie! That's why they look identical.
@Bo Cooper lol I bought it months ago and I'm very dissatisfied. You are not a chucky fan if you can't tell everything is off. First of all, the good guy doll is supposed to have fluffy sweater sleeves, not fitted. The color of the overall is darker than the movie. The "good guy" logo is supposed to in the center, but is low. The hair is bad, it doesn't have enough volume, is flat. @Bo Cooper lol you have no idea what you're talking about. Yes, the tots doll is made of movie screen mold, but only the FACE, HANDS AND SHOES, which is why I didn't say anything negative about them. Difficult to fuck up something made by mold. They messed up on everything else, which is the hair, the sweater, the overall, the logos. The hair being the most important part of the head. The doll in the link I showed you, is the tots next to a hand made one. The head on the hand made one may not be done from a movie mold, but the hair and the clothes look way better. That's what I'm complaining about. You keep mentioning this stupid mold, when I never said anything negative about the face or body of the doll.

Mine arrives Tuesday but from all the pics I've seen of owners with their dolls I'm pretty disappointed of how some things came out to be. The hair, the neck and the front pocket with the logo. The prototype pics with got months ago made it seem like that's what we were going to get and it turned out it wasn't. I know these dolls were mass produced but someone from TOTS should had been supervising the quality of the dolls. The doll does not look bad at all but we were promised a screen accurate doll and that's what we paid for. But seeing the final result I'm kind of disappointed. Also I seen the voodoo knife and it way to big to be posed with the doll. Why would they make it so big knowing it was going to be accessorize with the doll being it's classic signature weapon. I might buy my own from ebay.

My main nit pick is the freckles. They are painted too perfectly on the tots doll, and look too pronounced/dark? In the movie, they are messily painted and lighter.
SkemeKOS In my opinion, since this was intentionally designed as a CP1 replica, the pronounced freckles somewhat make some sense since it was technically from the “factory” before Charles Lee Ray did the chant In the toy store. But, on the flip side, I believe that specific part of the face looks pretty similar to CP2. The freckles although airbrushed on, also have a pretty pronounced Aesthetic. Overall, it’s kind of a mixture of both films. Just depends on how you look at it. 🤷🏻♂️
I pre ordered this doll after some research I think I know what's off about it its the giraffe neck on the doll . The neck is too long and the chin doesn't come out far enough but I don't care about it.

I think this doll is decent but not worth 500 dollars, I get it they can be very rare, but I feel like the details and quality are not really that great, I wish they had the head sculpt available plain so customizers like me can play with it, I would root the hair with real hair for more quality, and I would make better looking eyes. I would like to have this doll but I don’t feel like it is woth the price.

There's nothing controversial about the hair, it's far too short! I won't be getting mine until June but if it looks like this I may send it off to Garrett Zima for a hair transplant lol.

@@bloodbuddy9083 lots of things are not accurate, sleeves are slim fit, logo is not properly centered, the cuffs are too big and bulky. The hair does not look like the movie at all. The sleeves are too tight and it accentuates its big head. In the movie, the sweater is baggier and fluffier. The hair on this doll doesn't have enough volume, so it flattens out too much. The face is good, only because they got that from the movie made cast, everything else, they had to create themselves and that's why is inaccurate. The sweater and overall swatches used may be the same but what good does it do, if you mess up the dimension of the sweater. All these errors could have been avoided if they paid more attention and made sure to use a good company to make these dolls. They wanted to make a big profit and here are the results. Again, no returns or cancellation, so we're stuck with what we get. I for one, will be modifying this doll to make it better.
Apparently it's because the sweater is Fresh, what Garrett Zima (the person who developed this doll) said you just have to stretch the sleeves and it will finally fluff up.

the problem with the hair is not length, is lack of VOLUME, it flattens out too much, it has no underlying support

I couldn't have said this better myself I don't like my Doll but I'll keep him his face is a bit wider and the neck is too long and the eyes are all wrong I thought the prototype on the website would almost be the same version of the Doll I would receive but Hopefully maybe Mezco Toys will finally make a Good Guys Doll even if it is just a small 15 inch doll I already have my pizza face Chucky doll and my Scarred face Chucky doll but at least the dolls look PERFECT LOL I wonder with the new Child's play reboot will they release a doll for that version of the movie I hope that movie is good

Lol Are you Irish? You couldn't be more backwards! The TOTS doll is perfect. Looks just like the movie doll. The face is not wider at all, and the neck is not longer. I own the original movie molds, and I will be uploading a video where I will measure these things on my movie molds and my TOTS doll, using professional digital calipers....Just to shut you clueless people up once and for all. You are wrong too. The prototype doll looks like crap compared to the final product. I cant believe you want the doll to look like crap.
The eye holes are exactly the same as the movie doll. It uses the same mold from the movie, and they have cut along the eyelid lines perfectly. The angle is exactly the same on all the dolls. One eye looks different to the other...just like the movie doll.
The starburst effect on the eyes is perfect. It's very prominent. It is just hard to see in some videos and photos because it makes the contrast and colors look weird.. But in real life, the starburst looks perfect.
The eyes were not translucent in the first Childs Play movie, which this doll is based on, despite being labelled as a Childs Play 2 doll. The eyes on this TOTS doll look identical to the eyes on the Childs Play 1 doll. They did a perfect job.
The neck is exactly the same length as the movie doll. I will be making a video proving this soon.
The hair is exactly the right length. It looks too short at first, but when you comb it, it goes 2 inches longer, and ends up being the EXACT correct length. I was worried about the hair, but trust me, its PERFECT length after you brush it. My video will show this.
The only problem is the hair parting. It's not in the correct position, and cant really be altered. I tried combing it in a different position, but then the wig was visible. The only way to alter it, is to remove the flue from the wig, then reposition it, and reglue it.
The Good Guys logo is another thing they got wrong. It should definitely be higher up. All the TOTS ive seen have had the logo too low. I havent seen one that is perfectly positioned yet.
The colour of the clothes is also perfect. Most videos and photos make it look so much different to what the color looks like in real life.
Again, you're so wrong about wanting it to look like the crappy prototype, and the eyes. The final doll is perfect, and actually looks like the movie doll. The prototype doll looked like a mess.

AMAZING!!! I'm in Canada, I still haven't gotten any accessories or the tracking number for the doll. I'm guessing I wont get it until March.....which sucks. I had the Sideshow Toys Seed Of Chucky doll from 2003, It cost $500.00, I sold it last year for $5800.00!!! Who the hell pays that much for a doll? Apparently collectors do, so the ones saying the doll is too expensive is ludicrous. The market value jumps way up once these dolls are out of circulation. Also my Sideshow Chucky was limited. I'm not sure how many of the Trick Or Treat Studio dolls were made and if they will be a limited run. Anyways I can't wait to get this doll! Will look amazing in my horror room.
Yeah, I had that 1:1 scale Sideshow Seed of Chucky Doll too. It came out around 2008, not 2003(unless we are thinking of different dolls).
It was limited to 1000 pieces. I paid £350 on release date, and sold it for £2000 a few years later(I'm not really a fan of scarred Chucky).
There are about 10,000 of these TOTS Good Guys being made, so they wont be worth quite as much seeing as they arent going to be rare.
But I dont care about that. I didn't buy this doll to sell later on. I'm keeping this one forever. I've always wanted a perfect Good Guys doll. I've owned customs, but they weren't quite as perfect as this.
I hope TOTS make an evil Chucky from Childs Play 2 next!

Dj Smith you made me think about that and you are right the foam might not last long at all, I think a better material would be silicone, silicone is heat resistant, very flexible and long lasting, I would hate to spend 500 on a doll just for it to fall appart over using it.
I don't understand why some people say this doll is not movie accurate. What are they comparing it to? This doll is based on Child's Play 1 from 1988 (although they advertise it as Child's Play 2, due to licensing issues). So... how is it not accurate?
Exactly and they are dumb because the mold used for the movie is the same one used for tots dolls and the clothing is also movie accurate. The hair can be messed with to make it more accurate but it is a good replica specifically for 500 bucks. Custom good guy dolls (made with 3D printed body parts) can go for 1000 to 3k in price.
The pocket in childs play 1 is also 1cm higher than on your doll. I cant remember if there are scenes where the pocket is slightly lower, but it wouldn't surprise me if there are.
The position of the Good Guys text is different from scene to scene though, so that doesn't bother me.
SkemeKOS Yeah, several from the past couple days have all featured different pocket placements. Mine could be every so slightly lifted, but it’s a great middle-ground.

I would've thought they would use a template on the pocket placement, because that's what I did for my own Good Guys costumes that I made. Luckily I can sew, so I will adjust the pocket placement on mine. Either way, the TOTS doll is incredible and these minor things will go unnoticed for most people. For the price, and the fact that its mass produced, we cant complain.

One question when you got yours delivered did you have to sign a waiver from ups before you could take it? I don’t like the idea of them leaving it on the front door for it to be stolen
Thomas Ennis I received an email with a UPS tracking number. It indicated that signature confirmation is required. I was pretty fortunate though because I had a day off when it was delivered and caught up with the delivery driver before he even reached my door lol.

I hoped I could have mine sit up next to my pillow but it is not possible. You should be careful with the foam because it can tear open when you pull on it when posing the doll. Personally I think that is a flaw. I hope he is as good on the inside then he is on the outside. My fear is that the foam isn't durable and that it will peel of. He is indeed heavy. I always have to pick him up like a real child.

Making Chucky's body out of foam was a horrible mistake. Foam disintegrates, and turns to dust over time. This is why most 80s/90s Miss Piggy Puppets don't exist anymore or are in bad shape. Everyone keeps saying that $500 is cheap for these, but honestly they should have been around $300. They are mass produced after all. He doesn't even have a voice box. Even the $100 Mezco Chucky dolls came with a voice box.

First of all, the good guy doll is supposed to have fluffy sweater sleeves, not fitted. The color of the overall is darker than the movie. The "good guy" logo is supposed to in the center, but is low. The hair is bad, it doesn't have enough volume, is flat. @Bo Cooper lol you have no idea what you're talking about. Yes, the tots doll is made of movie screen mold, but only the FACE, HANDS AND SHOES, which is why I didn't say anything negative about them. Difficult to fuck up something made by mold. They messed up on everything else, which is the hair, the sweater, the overall, the logos. The hair being the most important part of the head. The doll in the link I showed you, is the tots next to a hand made one. The head on the hand made one may not be done from a movie mold, but the hair and the clothes look way better. That's what I'm complaining about. You keep mentioning this stupid mold, when I never said anything negative about the face or body of the doll.

Mine arrives Tuesday but from all the pics I've seen of owners with their dolls I'm pretty disappointed of how some things came out to be. The hair, the neck and the front pocket with the logo. The prototype pics with got months ago made it seem like that's what we were going to get and it turned out it wasn't. I know these dolls were mass produced but someone from TOTS should had been supervising the quality of the dolls. The doll does not look bad at all but we were promised a screen accurate doll and that's what we paid for. But seeing the final result I'm kind of disappointed. Also I seen the voodoo knife and it way to big to be posed with the doll. Why would they make it so big knowing it was going to be accessorize with the doll being it's classic signature weapon. I might buy my own from ebay.

My main nit pick is the freckles. They are painted too perfectly on the tots doll, and look too pronounced/dark? In the movie, they are messily painted and lighter.
SkemeKOS In my opinion, since this was intentionally designed as a CP1 replica, the pronounced freckles somewhat make some sense since it was technically from the “factory” before Charles Lee Ray did the chant In the toy store. But, on the flip side, I believe that specific part of the face looks pretty similar to CP2. The freckles although airbrushed on, also have a pretty pronounced Aesthetic. Overall, it’s kind of a mixture of both films. Just depends on how you look at it. 🤷🏻♂️

I think this doll is decent but not worth 500 dollars, I get it they can be very rare, but I feel like the details and quality are not really that great, I wish they had the head sculpt available plain so customizers like me can play with it, I would root the hair with real hair for more quality, and I would make better looking eyes. Apparently it's because the sweater is Fresh, what Garrett Zima (the person who developed this doll) said you just have to stretch the sleeves and it will finally fluff up.
