I never thought I would say this, but the TOTS doll is actually better than the Swirl World doll. I used to think Swirl World was the best of the best. But Trick or Treat Studios really nailed the Good Guys Doll. Swirl World and other independent doll makers are gonna need to step up their game and start incorporating animatronic eyes and voice boxes into their dolls to compete with TOTS.
SWS doll looks more accurate and eerie, while TOTS one is decent but plain looking - it's funny because they got the prototype right and then changed design for worse. People got a different looking doll than TOTS promised originally, but most folks seem to be happy about it anyway, so good for them.
Finally someone think like i do all the time! The prototype was awesome! So well made . but the final doll looks diffrent . i was really disappointed when i first saw the final chucky .
Both amazing dolls. I would probably just buy a tots doll and customize the eyes and hair to looks more like the sws one. Tots is also coming out with a ragdoll one so I’d buy that one rather than the foam body to avoid extreme damages as I’d prefer to take my chucky everywhere
Making Chucky's body out of foam was a mistake. Foam disintegrates, and turns to dust over the years. That's why most 80s/90s Miss Piggy Puppets don't exist anymore or are in bad shape. Everyone keeps saying that $500 is cheap for these, but honestly they should have been around $300. They are mass produced after all. It doesn't even have a voice box. Even the $100 Mezco Chucky dolls came with a voice box.
If I could choose, I'd prefer to have the SWS doll but I don't think I'll ever be able to afford it. Plus, I'm pretty satisfied with the TOTS one, the only thing that truly bothers me is the Good Guys logo not being centered, hope they'll fix that in the second batch
Thank you so much for your review! I've only seen a couple of these review vids on the TOTS Chucky and they are mainly why I didn't take the plunge in purchasing this doll. First I wanted to see how they looked in hand as to be honest TOTS isn't exactly consistent with advertising with what you actually get in hand and secondly I wanted to see the quality. Now with that said here are my thoughts. And this is all constructive criticism for the company and item. I'm not one of those guys who trolls and trash talks I give an honest assumption of my observation. So we know that independent artists have typically sold high-end models of these Chucky dolls for $2000. Now in my experience it seems that the cost of the item may not necessarily be what it costs to produce. For instance there 4s a guy who was offering the same quality as the $2,000 with some improvements for $650. So right there makes you wonder why others charge so much more. I feel a lot of that is just the artist wanting a larger profit to make it worth their while for making these props. Now the TOTS Chucky we know comes from a mass market company but I think it's fair to say this isn't your typical mass produced item. Now why it maybe considerably less than what indie artists charge $500 is no toss in the bucket. So I feel that more effort could've went into the small details such as placement of the logo, looser sweater, prop hair cut with styling, etc. And the main thing for $500 they surely could've made it durable to last a lifetime. Why would I invest $500 in something that's going to rip like paper just for adjusting the doll as it's made to do. At least the company should offer a lifetime warranty in the event the doll comes damaged or gets damaged over time as the foam is likely to tear not being the most durable material. I think the plush squishy foam is a lot more durable and wouldn't tear like the foam they used to make the doll.
That's one creaky doll! So you say you take it everywhere with you, and even have an additional pair of "goin' out shoes" on it. My curiosity continues to grow as I watch this video.

I'm a collector and usually know of many indie artists and companies but I'm not familiar with Swirl World. How much are their Chucky dolls? I do like the look of the TOTS and it actually came out better than expected however my main concern has always been quality that's why mentioned in my previous comment how I wanted to hang back and learn more before spending that kind of money. My collection mostly consists of high-end props. I don't mind and like a few mass produced products but I'm not about spending top dollar for something that has the quality and can break just as easily as a $30 doll.
I love the rag doll version best. Reminds me more of his stance in childs play 2 in Andys room at night. God I really want to buy one but I'm fucking broke. I'll finally get the money and they'll probably stop making them. Sad times :')
I felt the same way, Im saving up for ALL tots dolls (including an extra good guy and the new one they just announced) and both neca life sizes. Takes time but if its not available etsy has great options or people make customs better than the ones in this vid!
I watched this video about five times, and I am glad you did a full on review. I seen tots kick starter some time ago and I had a strong feeling to not commit. I'm not going to lie but... I would be PISSED if I spent 500 on a doll with rips, no actual feet, and material that will not stand the test of time. And not to mention that's tots are not willing to fix their mistakes on the dolls. That, I have to give a side eye to. I ordered ultimate and evil Chucky from sws. Ah, great... I was about to get the ToTs one, but after watching this... Man, I cannot afford the SWS doll (it's so amazingly accurate! I love it). Now I don't like the ToTs one as much as before, so I don't think I'll get it... This sucks.
Got one and looks amazing for the prize, this is a one time opportunity to buy one, get the tots one you won't regret it and sure will be worth a lot in the future! Don't forget, they made it with screen used molds so the head, hands and shoes are 100% accurate but you can expect screen like details for 500 bucks.
I love both but the handmade looks more chucky to me was that expensive and how much do those run if don’t mind me asking. I was going to order one but won’t be shipped till August September so makes me sad I don’t know how Mann times I have filled out the info for trick or treat and never fully order. Just a long long time to wait for that price for me personally because that’s all these months I will regret spending all that money until I get it lol of course 😊
The first doll looks screen accurate to the first movie the second one I’m not sure when Chucky ever looked like that? But the doll is detailed for sure.
The second one is screen accurate too. The difference between the doll is You can see the eye lids on the second doll but if you watch childs play sometimes his eye lids show.

Oh, that's interesting. So the ToT version has the superior materials outfit. Odd that the more expensive custom didn't use corduroy and a knitted sweater.
if I were to buy a tots doll, I’d probably just remake the body myself the same way sws did it, the SWS one is just so much more durable and since I want something so expensive to last alot longer, I’d go for something more stretchy.
Yeah the foam on my tots doll is ripping as well. It’s not difficult to repair and maintain, however that’s certainly not the point. It was a poor decision on their end to promote the pose ability factors on something that was manufactured with low-end components. It should not be ripping as easily as it is. Period. I hate to give you bad news, but I will be shocked if they attend to your complaint, because I’ve heard nothing but bad things regarding their customer service quality. The printing on the corduroy also seems very cheap, and will more than likely start to crack and peel away over time. It’s a nice looking doll for the price, but a lot of its components are of very poor, physical quality. I give them props for their efforts, but the foam body is easily the worst decision that went into this product.
Well, it’s interesting to see someone criticize others for attempting to be fair and respectful instead of a bashing, one-sided asshole. Also, that’s the shortest fucking laundry list I’ve ever seen, as I only had issues with two elements; the quality of the foam and printing on the corduroys. Regardless, Hell yes I give them props. What they accomplished is no easy task, so there has to be a balance of factors weighed in when critiquing. I’m not a businessman nor do I specialize in entertainment law, but from what I understand it can be very difficult and expensive to obtain the licensing for something as iconic as Chucky. It’s an amazing doll overall, with a couple of physical component errors. TOTS maybe needs some improvement in their Quality Control department, but hell yeah I give them props for pulling off what no one else could over the last 30 years. That simple. I just ordered the SWS Classic Good Guy doll with animatronic appearance eyelids plus armature, based entirely on your review. Thank you. First of all, I was considering the ToT studios Good Guy and Glen. But when I saw that tear in the foam of your Brand New ToT doll, plus the skinniness of the doll, plus the cheap foam feet, plus the lazy placement of the Good Guy lettering, I was just disgusted by ToTs lack of QC. I’m so glad I chose the SWS piece. SWS is doing a Glen, too. I’m going with their Glen too when the time comes. Thanks, bro!
SWS customer service imo sucks. I've tried contacting them a few times on FC and email as well as Eric Rivera about these dolls and the buddi dolls. Totally ignored me...the tots imo is better because the molds actually screen accurate because Garrett Zima who has the actual molds from the movies is used. Tots doll looksmlike the dolls in the toy store. The swirl isn't bad but that looks like a transition doll where chuckys expression in angelface is dead on from the first movie. I can't complain for 500 bucks. I plan on getting one made in the future from zima himself or chucky belgium 🇧🇪 who is imo the best chucky custom maker after Zima. I do agree with you on the foam being a bad idea whoever thought that was better than plush made a mistake at tots.
*@jacobschmidt2709* I have actually and Belgium Chucky, while they're both amazing artists Zima is the only one that actually worked in some of the movies and makes the best 1:1 scale dolls the most accurate to the movies....I have since bought a 3 more dolls since then in general. The best high end quality to make a high end Good Guy is how Zima makes them custom which is a plush with a poseable armature underneath so you have the best of both worlds that also doesn't weigh the doll down a ton like the 500 dollar TOTS dolls. Belgium Chucky also makes their dolls this way if you wish, but Chucky Belgium nor Tenoch will make the dolls as if they're pulled straight out of the movie like Zima's dolls look, he even paints them and glazes them. I take it you never heard of Garrett Zima....

@jacobschmidt2709 Ok then. You had mentioned Tenoch earlier though he's based in Mexico, Chucky Belgium is in Belgium. But anyway, CB seems closer to screen accurate than Tenoch's work but of the 3, Zima's the best since he's worked directly on some of the films and uses the movie materials literally directly with his custom made dolls including the exact molds. He has a facebook but I cant share the links as YT don't allow third party links. He has a FB and instagram I spoke to him directly a few years back on FB regarding custom made jobs, he will do it for you but will cost a few grand so expect to pay a lot if you want one from him but if you've seen his work on here, reviews you'll see why. The others do great work but Ziima's is practically perfection if you want a real movie accurate looking doll.

The standard good guy doll in the movie can’t be just like they show it to us in the first scene of Child’s Play 2 when they rebuild it. I mean, it can’t be in full plastic otherwise you couldn’t move the doll so much and the doll couldn’t assume so many positions just like we see in the movies ( I’m not talking about Chucky, just about a standard Good Guy doll). So I suppose that even in the movies the doll under the clothes is like how we see the dolls in this video. Am I right ? Maybe it’s just a stupid detail but I haven’t thought at it previously, can someone explain me please ?
I would definitely buy the sws doll I prefer that over tots, the quality is just much better and more screen accurate. Too bad that it seems like sws has shut down since last year and I’ve heard problems about how they never shipped out most orders and hasn’t refunded the people that never received their dolls but I haven’t heard any complaints recently so hopefully they took care of that and gave people back their money. Sws made the better good guy doll so it’s unfortunate that they aren’t selling them anymore because I would’ve dropped money on them. I just ordered the doll from tots instead since it’s the only replica I can find on the market.

Al I need to say after watching a shit Ton of reviews and people’s gripes and complaints is just remember until now all we’ve really had was that garbage ass crap from Spencer’s. I love my doll from ToT and have waited 21 years to get a real one. I have zero complaints about it. I was there when this creepy little fucker came out in 88 I was 7 and he tormented me daily as a child and now as an adult I’ve invited my worst fear to live with me and I couldn’t be happier.

I replied to a post on the Trick or Treat facebook page asking a poster if he was happy with the position of the Good Guys logo on the pocket and Trick or Treat banned me from posting on their page, lol. I guess they are scared. I know it's a massed produced doll but I've seen the position of the logo all over the place, which means the QC is not great.

I got a better story i paid for the Kickstarter in April tot happily took my money rightaway . Fast forward to a couple weeks ago . I never received a email or update message tot multiple times ( all I got were generic answers ) then 2 days ago they told me I didn’t finish my order need a new link to complete my order.top it off I won’t get the doll tell the next wave of Kickstarter in March. Called numerous times ignored how to stop reply to original email and try a whole new email and guess what?? I got different answers . As of yesterday I got a whole other story because I tried numerous times to get the new link to “finish my order which was new to me after numerous ignored messages throughout December- now” so now tot has no records for me even paying when I sent the screen shots of my order and my confirmation. But yet there’s no order for tot and I have to go reach out to Kickstarter since it’s Not their fault. I’m even more upset cuz I could’ve bought a sws doll last year but I was so hyped about the tot doll and seeing the review the tot doll is a shit compared to the sws doll. Anyway had to call my bank to get my money back

Find Swirl World Studios on Facebook, and PM them. This piece is custom made by an artist and much much better.

I got tots loved it but ended up trading it for a buddi doll and ordering a custom rag doll from k.p dolls it’s good for the price but the photos were misleading, he didn’t stand, and not screen accurate.
The SWS doll is amazing but it’s insanely expensive. The regular doll starts at 1200 dollars.

Best thing to prevent weird tears on his arms and legs is to cut the foam when arms and legs stretched. I did it and the doll is more poseable ;)

I don't mind paying the exta for quality. Plus sws dolls have waaay better eyes that give more life to the doll. When I receive mine, I'm definitely doing a box opening video. Ah, great... I was about to get the ToTs one, but after watching this... Man, I cannot afford the SWS doll (it's so amazingly accurate! I love it). Now I don't like the ToTs one as much as before, so I don't think I'll get it... This sucks.
Got one and looks amazing for the prize, this is a one time opportunity to buy one, get the tots one you won't regret it and sure will be worth a lot in the future! Don't forget, they made it with screen used molds so the head, hands and shoes are 100% accurate but you can expect screen like details for 500 bucks.
I love both but the handmade looks more chucky to me was that expensive and how much do those run if don’t mind me asking. I was going to order one but won’t be shipped till August September so makes me sad I don’t know how Mann times I have filled out the info for trick or treat and never fully order. Just a long long time to wait for that price for me personally because that’s all these months I will regret spending all that money until I get it lol of course 😊
The first doll looks screen accurate to the first movie the second one I’m not sure when Chucky ever looked like that? But the doll is detailed for sure.
The second one is screen accurate too. The difference between the doll is You can see the eye lids on the second doll but if you watch childs play sometimes his eye lids show.

Oh, that's interesting. So the ToT version has the superior materials outfit. Odd that the more expensive custom didn't use corduroy and a knitted sweater.
if I were to buy a tots doll, I’d probably just remake the body myself the same way sws did it, the SWS one is just so much more durable and since I want something so expensive to last alot longer, I’d go for something more stretchy.

Yeah the foam on my tots doll is ripping as well. It’s not difficult to repair and maintain, however that’s certainly not the point. It was a poor decision on their end to promote the pose ability factors on something that was manufactured with low-end components. It should not be ripping as easily as it is. Period. I hate to give you bad news, but I will be shocked if they attend to your complaint, because I’ve heard nothing but bad things regarding their customer service quality. The printing on the corduroy also seems very cheap, and will more than likely start to crack and peel away over time. It’s a nice looking doll for the price, but a lot of its components are of very poor, physical quality. I give them props for their efforts, but the foam body is easily the worst decision that went into this product.

Well, it’s interesting to see someone criticize others for attempting to be fair and respectful instead of a bashing, one-sided asshole. Also, that’s the shortest fucking laundry list I’ve ever seen, as I only had issues with two elements; the quality of the foam and printing on the corduroys. Regardless, Hell yes I give them props. What they accomplished is no easy task, so there has to be a balance of factors weighed in when critiquing. I’m not a businessman nor do I specialize in entertainment law, but from what I understand it can be very difficult and expensive to obtain the licensing for something as iconic as Chucky. It’s an amazing doll overall, with a couple of physical component errors. TOTS maybe needs some improvement in their Quality Control department, but hell yeah I give them props for pulling off what no one else could over the last 30 years. That simple. Also, why are you hiding your identity? LOL

First of all, I was considering the ToT studios Good Guy and Glen. But when I saw that tear in the foam of your Brand New ToT doll, plus the skinniness of the doll, plus the cheap foam feet, plus the lazy placement of the Good Guy lettering, I was just disgusted by ToTs lack of QC. I’m so glad I chose the SWS piece. SWS is doing a Glen, too. I’m going with their Glen too when the time comes. Thanks, bro!

SWS customer service imo sucks. I've tried contacting them a few times on FC and email as well as Eric Rivera about these dolls and the buddi dolls. Totally ignored me...the tots imo is better because the molds actually screen accurate because Garrett Zima who has the actual molds from the movies is used. Tots doll looksmlike the dolls in the toy store.
The swirl isn't bad but that looks like a transition doll where chuckys expression in angelface is dead on from the first movie. I can't complain for 500 bucks. I plan on getting one made in the future from zima himself or chucky belgium 🇧🇪 who is imo the best chucky custom maker after Zima.
I do agree with you on the foam being a bad idea whoever thought that was better than plush made a mistake at tots.

The best high end quality to make a high end Good Guy is how Zima makes them custom which is a plush with a poseable armature underneath so you have the best of both worlds that also doesn't weigh the doll down a ton like the 500 dollar TOTS dolls. Belgium Chucky also makes their dolls this way if you wish, but Chucky Belgium nor Tenoch will make the dolls as if they're pulled straight out of the movie like Zima's dolls look, he even paints them and glazes them. I take it you never heard of Garrett Zima....

@jacobschmidt2709 Ok then. You had mentioned Tenoch earlier though he's based in Mexico, Chucky Belgium is in Belgium. But anyway, CB seems closer to screen accurate than Tenoch's work but of the 3, Zima's the best since he's worked directly on some of the films and uses the movie materials literally directly with his custom made dolls including the exact molds. He has a facebook but I cant share the links as YT don't allow third party links.
He has a FB and instagram I spoke to him directly a few years back on FB regarding custom made jobs, he will do it for you but will cost a few grand so expect to pay a lot if you want one from him but if you've seen his work on here, reviews you'll see why. The others do great work but Ziima's is practically perfection if you want a real movie accurate looking doll.

Thank you so much for the video, Amazing comparision. I have a question, what about the material under the clothes of the doll in the movie ? After seeing your video I thought this. The standard good guy doll in the movie can’t be just like they show it to us in the first scene of Child’s Play 2 when they rebuild it. I mean, it can’t be in full plastic otherwise you couldn’t move the doll so much and the doll couldn’t assume so many positions just like we see in the movies ( I’m not talking about Chucky, just about a standard Good Guy doll). I would definitely buy the sws doll I prefer that over tots, the quality is just much better and more screen accurate. Too bad that it seems like sws has shut down since last year and I’ve heard problems about how they never shipped out most orders and hasn’t refunded the people that never received their dolls but I haven’t heard any complaints recently so hopefully they took care of that and gave people back their money. Sws made the better good guy doll so it’s unfortunate that they aren’t selling them anymore because I would’ve dropped money on them. I just ordered the doll from tots instead since it’s the only replica I can find on the market.

I love my doll from ToT and have waited 21 years to get a real one. I have zero complaints about it. I was there when this creepy little fucker came out in 88 I was 7 and he tormented me daily as a child and now as an adult I’ve invited my worst fear to live with me and I couldn’t be happier.

I replied to a post on the Trick or Treat facebook page asking a poster if he was happy with the position of the Good Guys logo on the pocket and Trick or Treat banned me from posting on their page, lol. I guess they are scared. I know it's a massed produced doll but I've seen the position of the logo all over the place, which means the QC is not great.

I got a better story i paid for the Kickstarter in April tot happily took my money rightaway . Fast forward to a couple weeks ago . I never received a email or update message tot multiple times ( all I got were generic answers ) then 2 days ago they told me I didn’t finish my order need a new link to complete my order.top it off I won’t get the doll tell the next wave of Kickstarter in March. Called numerous times ignored how to stop reply to original email and try a whole new email and guess what?? I got different answers . As of yesterday I got a whole other story because I tried numerous times to get the new link to “finish my order which was new to me after numerous ignored messages throughout December- now” so now tot has no records for me even paying when I sent the screen shots of my order and my confirmation. But yet there’s no order for tot and I have to go reach out to Kickstarter since it’s Not their fault. I’m even more upset cuz I could’ve bought a sws doll last year but I was so hyped about the tot doll and seeing the review the tot doll is a shit compared to the sws doll. Anyway had to call my bank to get my money back
