    It's always a good day when we get a Vasily video, especially a 2 stroke video! Wouldn't mind seeing somemore cross kart videos here soon. Maybe a future project can be you putting a rocket motor in another quad, the cboys one you helped them with is really sick. Would be cool if you had your own to play with tho. Love the content as always

    I had my old RD350 hitting about 125mph back in the 80's with a few port mods & swarbrick expansion chambers, but they never had baffles, they just had end pipes, or pea shooters as we called them, my 200 & 250 air-cooled RD's had the barrels reversed, a bunch of electric/timing work, with the exhausts sticking out the back (tight fitting), but had the rear shocks replaced with solid rods, because shocks weren't really needed at Santa Pod, the 250 beat the 350 at the Pod but when the right gearing was added it was better on long runs. Pod filters sticking out the front of the 200 & 250 weren't always a good choice when the weather got wetter as It regularly did over here. With that big bore kit, you should at least get 130mph, Keep up the great work because I'm pretty limited now after breaking my back in 2001 and the last 4 years have been murder, always wear a back/spine protector, without one I probably wouldn't be here, or ever worse stuck in a chair, I've still got to convert my 650 twin into a reverse trike to make riding enjoyable again

    Cool story. I ordered a Jim lomas exhaust for my Aprilia rs125. Turned out Jim lomas himself delivered it just around the corner from where I worked in Stockport England, where he was visiting his family. Sounded amazing. Was great to meet him too ❤

    I love my 2014 EBR 1190SX, probably my favorite I have ever ridden, more so than the GSXR1000 and my CBR1000, the EBR is all I have left now but I sure do miss riding my 2 strokes as well ❤

    Actually shortening the stinger on the pipes will give you higher top end power.

  • @ralphhondaman

    Yea there is a idle circuit but it doesn't keep up with high rpm for engine braking. You shouldn't engine brake a 2 stoke in my opinion. There's a reason it's called an Idle circuit.

  • @danw1955

    Just a tip from an OLD 2 stroke rider. Don't try to use engine braking on a 2 stroke! When the throttle is closed you don't get enough oil to the bottom end, and there's a chance for seizing a piston or running the bearings out of it. Pull the clutch in and use your brakes on long periods of deceleration. That's what they're there for.😉 That said, I also had a 73 RD 350 that I used to race at Pocono on the weekends back in the 70's.. fun times!😄

    • @kasuraga
      @kasuraga Год назад +1

      Yeah, not enough oil for the RPM its running while engine braking. That's what kills 2 strokes. It's like running idle oil pressure at 6k rpm in a normal car.

    Is that how you always shift Without the clutch? Cuz that's how I shift also

  • @MAD450r2
    @MAD450r2 Год назад +2

    Put some heavier springs in the clutch or u can try the trick i used on my derbi GPR50. That sucker slipped the clutch from day one stock if u didnt short shift it. I put washers under the springs in the clutch it hasnt slipped after that. It did make clutch feel stiffer to pull. But was worth it for getting clutch to stop slipping.
    You may want to make sure theres enough room to fit and still keep springs in place last yime i took mine apart i ended up put a tiny dot of jbweld on washer and springs.
    Hope that helps in your setup.

  • @Wil_Liam1

    Poor poor Vasily,we don't use the clutch lever on old skool 2 smoke bikes brah,we simply throttle back slightly, and then upshift,fact... Downshifting,we throttle up and down shift,ignoring zee clutch lever.. same as a Pingel shifter does,but we use our foot to shift instead of a solenoid... It's worked well for many decades from motocross, to Enduro racing, to super bikes,to the Isle of Mann racing as well as pretty much any other serious motorsickle racing anywhere .. Try it,you might like it... 😉
