Discord is chaos itself, so as long as chaos exists, he will reform and be back with his friends, while Bill is now locked out of Equestria, unless he can trick another pony into making a pact with him.
The style changes were amazing and really creative this was a great episode for sure! I have only one question where is the Surfer vs Manhunter episode🤔
While I loved this death battle but they did nerf Discord a bit and gave Bill abilities he simply does not have. For instance Bill can regenerate minor damage to his spirit, but full erasure will kill him, and his only way back is through the Axolotol, which still he would not be himself anymore. Secondly, while Bill can regenerate damage to his physical form it takes time whereas Discord can heal himself instantly Bill also is far weaker in spirit form as he has no ability to actually mess with the physical world without either a host or his physical form. He is also linked to the mind while his spirit is in it, thus meaning if the mind is damaged or erased his powers will no longer work making him susceptible to being erased aswell. He also has to make deals with people if they have info he needs or something he wants before he can do it such as possession or entering someone's mine. Discord has none of these restrictions, as well as a few abilities Bill just doe not possess such as dimensional portal creation, regular portal creation, can instantly disappear and reappear anywhere he wants and if he parishes in any way he will return eventually as he is the living embodiment of a force of nature and magic type in Equestria he's the source. Also in the the part of the analysis where they showed Starlight DBZ blasting Discord away was nothing more than a banishment spell that only teleported him away, he came back as a spirit to bypass the banishment spell. Finally Discord has never showed having his body destroyed or damaged the he himself did not inflicted on himself whereas Bill has, multiple times. Even in the battle Discords physical form was shown to be tuff enough to withstand a giant hand slamming him through metal and when his Head exploded, he came back good as new, yet a Giant Chess Piece destroyed his body? Also I feel The Death Battle crew assumes Discord can only enter heads as a spirit just like how Bill has to do it, but that's another misconception, not only can he enter your mind physical form and all but he can do it with or without your consent
Unicorn hair is just one of the ingredients to create an anti-weirdness barrier. It's not actually Bill's weakness.
