We've fixed the coreway and got ourselves a path deeper into Azeroth and closer to Xal'atath. First stop: The Ringing Deeps where the machines have been damaged for quite a while and the earthen need our help!

The way they handled Moira and Magni’s relationship is really mature. It’s actually quite shocking after having to sit thru all those Mama Alexstraza and Emo Nozdormu moments from last xpac. Moira obviously still detests how Magni used to treat her and how he ordered the hit on Dagran Sr. but she is able to look past it because she sees that Dagran Jr. sees that Magni is growing into a very good person.
genuinly happy how they're handling the heavier stories like this one or anduin. Know it's not for everyone, but personally been having a blast

I think the Ringing Deep cinematic is one of my absolute favorites so far, second only to the campaign finale.

I would love some more lore on these Scarden 🤔 I don't undetstand how they differ from Earthen? They aren't fleshlike so they just seem like a shadow priest
Earthen is base form.
Earthen + curse of flesh = Dwarves
Earthen + curse of flesh + living near the coreway = the new earthen of khaz algar
Earthen + corruption from xal'atath = Skardyn
Basicaly a skardyn is a full on void corrupted earthen, its corruption based at xal'atath. Originally from the corruption unleashed on Grim Batol, but now we can see she has the ability to throw out that corruption anywhere.
@@Nobbel87 do you know of a good quest series that might go a bit deeper into this? I still haven't finished all the quest in Ringing Depths so I might have missed something 🤔
@@Soetnowzen Not more then what they've given us in the ringing deeps + the skardyn in the rookery dungeon are also classified as skardyn which is summarised by 'xal'atath corrupted them.'

I have misophonia and your lore videos usually present no challenge for me, but this one wasn't like that. Great work as always! Luv your work!!
Hmm is it just this video or the previous parts aswell? Haven't done anything majorly different compared in the past, but each recording is always a gamble how it comes out.

I'm confused about something. The Coreway seems to have been attacked at the same time we arrived. But the dialogue in the Ringing Deeps and Hallowfall indicate that they've been cut off from the underground for years. The only thing I can think of is the Ringing Deeps got messed up when Brinthe was kicked out to the surface, and while not cut off until the Coreway was attacked, noone bothered going down there.
Yeah Merrix explains it as "But the titans left and the machines stopped. The Unbound abandoned the Edicts and the High speaker retreated to the ringing deeps. The council that was supposed to rule from up above splintered + with the machines broken, I guess they didn't have much reason to go down there?
@@Nobbel87 Yeah but it's also implied Xal'atath started all of this. Which means it had to start in BFA when we "released" her. Which given the time skip between Shadowlands - DF is probably about right. They messed up the ringing deeps and got the Nerubians attacking Hallowfall, so when they sent emmisaries they never arrived. Didn't have anything to do with the Coreway, the Coreway was just the last most recent step in her plan.

@@StormsparkPegasus Nerubians were fighting the arathi the moment they showed up though + the earthen been fighting them thousands of years ago according to one of the plays so xal'atath either manipulated them while in the blade or the nerubians just messed with things and she took advantage of it?
@@Nobbel87 She manipulated the Nerubians into MUCH more of a conflict. Particularly breaking the wall which was said to be a recent event. We have limited information because we don't have a concrete timeline of what happened when, just different stores from different NPC's that were until recently cut off from each other. From a storytelling perspective, putting our characters in the world, it's good, but outside the game it would be nice to have a little more info on what happened when.

Anyone got a tl;dr on what Magni did that was so bad before he became diamond?
He ordered a hit on Dagran Sr (Moira’s husband, King of the Dark Iron dwarves), and she hasn’t really forgiven him for that. Plus him not being present for her or Dagran jr. while he’s going off being Azeroth’s Speaker definitely put a dampen on their relationship
On top of what Noah said, he also was pretty shitty towards Moria growing up. While he was still a loving father, Magni always wanted a son to rule and thought lesser of his daughter. He also absolutely HATED the idea of Dagran jr. In an old comic Magni has a nightmare were Moria is pregnant again, and while assuming it was Dagran Sr's child(it was actually Ragnaros's) he said that no son of Dagran Sr would be allowed to take the throne and even stated that he was going to banish the child from dwarven lands. Considering Moria didn't believe it safe to bring Dagran Jr to Ironforge until after Magni became a rock its safe to assume all of this would have applied to Dagran Jr too. Also in the same comics he envisions an adult Dagran Jr as nothing more then a mindless brute that attacks him.
