I really enjoy your videos and I was curios about your opinions on Time Shelter as it is the first Booker prize winner from my country, Bulgaria. I have to say though in the kindest way possible that I found the ways you turned Georgi's name into Gregory and Jorgy really funny. Just for clarification it is pronounced ɡiːɒrɡi:. No hate, no one ever gets Bulgarian names right.
Forgot to add - I haven't finished Time shelter yet, but to me it kind of feels like a reaction to the rampant nostalgia towards socialism and the rise of nationalism in Bulgaria. Some of it is natural as socialism did have its plus sides and most people feel nostalgia towards their youth but other I feel are because of Russia's influence. So the books asks "Were things really better before?". It might not be a particularly deep message but it's something a lot of Bulgarians need to ask themselves so we can move forward.
I really enjoyed Boulder and Standing Heavy, but havent read the others.
