- A continuation of sorts to the miComet Pranks series, the Tsukkomi Bingo Project sees FubuMiComet giving a Subaru a very silly fake interview, trying to get reactions out of her.

So there's my take on the Tsukkomi Bingo Project. Originally I wanted to end up with something closer to the New Year (ReGLOSS) prank segments, so 5-10 minutes tops, but I kept running into parts without which the rest didn't make sense, so it expanded to a still fairly reasonable (all things considered) 18 minutes long. I already feel like I made some fairly aggressive cuts, but I'm sure I could have chopped even more. I'm just not very good at making short videos I'm afraid!
I'm also still not sure how good my ear is when it comes to picking up multiple overlapping voices. The other pranks had Japanese subs, which made it easier when I wasn't sure what was being said, but I didn't have that this time, so there's a good chance I either misheard bits and pieces, or misinterpreted details. So while I'm fairly confident the translation captures the broad strokes of the conversation happening, it probably occasionally paraphrases or embellishes this or that. Feel free to point out whatever I might have missed in the comments.
I was also worried that the nature of the stream would make for a fairly unsatisfying condensed version, since a lot of it seemed to hinge on the viewer being on the edge of their seat wondering "will she? won't she?" as to whether Subaru would retort, and if so, if she'd use the right tsukkomi... In the end I think there were enough individually funny tidbits that the result is satisfying even if it's a bit of a different experience. As always, you're more than welcome to disagree!
A few notes, I'm not a One Piece expert. Not by a long shot. I researched what I could to try not to sound like an idiot with stuff like Chopper's line, and dug out the VIZ Media English version of the manga to show the panels that are being quoted, but it's entirely possible I missed something obvious. So I apologize to all avid readers/watchers if I've made any sort of faux pas. By all means, let me know in the comments if so. The translation for the panels, by the way, isn't the one from the manga. I figured I'd keep the text to a minimum, so I went for shorter lines there. Even without knowing much about One Piece, I do know that the "rock paper scissors" Shanks segment has been memed to death in Japan, which is likely why Suichan wanted Fubuki to try to bring it up.
I didn't know how explicit I needed to be about the School Days conclusion... It's technically a pregnancy test she performs, so I think I'm in the clear. If you don't know, School Days is infamous for an anime adaptation that went for the most messed up route of an already fairly messed up galge universe (look up "School Days family tree", let's just say the British royal family isn't the only inbred one). I wouldn't go so far as to say I recommend watching it, but it can be fun (I believe IRyS and Kronii had a watchalong, and so did Fuwamoco).

Oh Tsukimi Bingo is a great idea for your style of clips after the pranks.
Pretty sure I have seen some more clips of this compared to the pranks so I suppose it is less unique in that way but both because of the topic and the style of the original video/stream it is a great fit for a sequel.
Also love how you do the laughs with the w flying and rolling down lol.
Someone had suggested I tackle this one shortly after it originally streamed, but I was unsure I'd be able to do it justice because of how it's paced... In the end I think it turned out quite well though. Glad you liked it!

I really hope they do more prank variations but it's probably getting increasingly difficult... I mean by now you'd have to be insane to trust an invite from miComet! Adding Fubuki in the mix helped though, maybe they can get keep it going by mixing things up like that.

I'll definitely be there if/when (Fubu-)miComet do it again! They really seem to have taken a liking to them since the new year ReGloss pranks! And it's been a lot of fun subbing all of these.
Holomems are probably on their guard already if they get invited by miComet though, so I guess they can't do it too often.

Thanks for the clip!!! If you don't mind my asking, what software are you using to put this all together? Your Suisei masking is beautifully done!
I don't mind at all! I use the good ol' Adobe suite for my videos.
Smaller/shorter/more subtle masking or effects, I tend to rotoscope in After Effects, but that would have taken forever to try to do over the whole stream, so for Suichan here it ended up being all done in Premiere. What I did was isolate/reconstruct the background she uses from a couple other streams, then use it as a difference matte. Since the background didn't change for the duration of the stream, it worked out.
I only had to tweak a few things to avoid parts being transparent or glitchy (mostly just poking at pre-blur and tolerance, which is how it ended up with a black outline like that). I might have been able to tweak a bit further to make the outline less visible, but I thought it looked pretty good with the black border anyway, so I ran with it. The bigger outline made the timer more readable too... Since it overlapped with her head I was kind of stuck with it (though given the nature of the stream I figured it worked out).
That's the basic idea... I don't dislike geeking out about my editing so feel free to ask if you have other questions!

They really are! Here's hoping that they keep finding ways to pull those pranks, and I'll be there to translate them (...months later when it's no longer relevant because I'm slow)
