I’ve decided to sing karma police for an audition and I was struggling to picture what it should sound like with a female singing it. Thank you so much for this beautiful 🖤🖤
I often feel moved by songs. But, feeling moved to the point that my heart feels completely crushed... that's rare. Your voice is really something. Thank you for your music videos. Just started listening to them today while working. Have to avoid listening while watching the video or I won't be able to work because your facial expressions just add that much more feelings to the song. Captivating. Thank you. To you and everyone involved in making these videos.
Saw you cover Portishead on Season 2 of Snowpiercer. Floored. Came here and discovered it wasn’t a one-off. You’ve got a million fewer subscribers than you deserve. If you tour, I’m there.
It wasn't until yesterday that I found Lena Hall on RUclips (via Morgan James and the Skivvies) but it's one of those discoveries that makes wasting time on RUclips a good investment. I'm not sure whether I'm captivated more by the voice or by those green eyes. Kind of reminds me of my favourite mezzosoprano, Lidia Vinyes Curtis (but Lidia's nose beats Lena's :)). If I can request a song, I'd like to see and hear a cover of I Remember You, by Chrissie Hynde (Pretenders).
WOW!!!!! you are amazing. i just finished listed to your obsessed sessions and was bolwn away. then by accident came across this and i don't think i even have a head any longer. i so look forward to listening to your covers and hopi fully you have a catalog of originals as well. i just haven't got that far. i hope i am able to see you live .maybe soon as i know you are currently in the area that i live. amazing voice. you have a new fan. thank you
gotta say this, this is the best cover i've ever heard for radiohead Karma Police, i've discovered your covers by luck and now i'm hooked and one of my favorite artist
This is my favourite of the 20 covers, though quite a few others come close. The catchiest of them might be Hotline Bling. I didn't even know the originals of those two songs, one of which has auotune, in other words it's no good.
"Karma Police" Karma police, arrest this man He talks in maths, he buzzes like a fridge He's like a detuned radio Karma police, arrest this girl Her Hitler hairdo is making me feel ill And we have crashed her party This is what you'll get This is what you'll get This is what you'll get When you mess with us Karma police, I've given all I can It's not enough, I've given all I can But we're still on the payroll This is what you'll get This is what you'll get This is what you'll get When you mess with us For a minute there I lost myself, I lost myself Phew, for a minute there I lost myself, I lost myself For a minute there I lost myself, I lost myself Phew, for a minute there I lost myself, I lost myself
I liked it until the "for a minute " part, she made it all tough and hard when it's supposed to be soft and choral, and then she did it great at the very end but I think every "for a minute there" should've been that soft and light
What's the point in just doing it the same way Thom Yorke does? Different artist, different interpretation, that's the beauty of cover versions. It takes a lyric that seems like an internal monologue in the original, someone reassuring themselves after a temporary loss of composure, and externalises it, expresses it in a way that feels more like part of a dialogue, someone seeking to appeal or explain to others, pleading forgiveness for a faux pas.
This cover is un -f*cking-real. Absolutely beautiful. Thank you Lena.

It's perfect for a female voice! GO FOR IT!
@@LenaHall Tracie Chapman "fast car" would rock my socks off!
Hey! How did it go?
Lol everything sounds better when a female sings it. Silly
No. @@Avenged188
Oh my gosh, you really belt those high notes!
I could sing them softly but then were is the fun in that. =) thank you for the comment.
Another outstanding performance from you all, respect!! You are really holding the notes and long sessions and I'm sure Thom will be proud of this ❤

"Karma Police"
Karma police, arrest this man
He talks in maths, he buzzes like a fridge
He's like a detuned radio
Karma police, arrest this girl
Her Hitler hairdo is making me feel ill
And we have crashed her party
This is what you'll get
This is what you'll get
This is what you'll get
When you mess with us
Karma police, I've given all I can
It's not enough, I've given all I can
But we're still on the payroll
This is what you'll get
This is what you'll get
This is what you'll get
When you mess with us
For a minute there
I lost myself, I lost myself
Phew, for a minute there
I lost myself, I lost myself
For a minute there
I lost myself, I lost myself
Phew, for a minute there
I lost myself, I lost myself
Estoy enamorado de ella
Sospecho que ella está enamorada de otro. Suele ocurrir. ¡Hay que joderse! :))
Wow! Who's that girl?!
Gözüme toz kaçtı
If i could hear lena hall sing "fast car" by tracie chapman I could die a happy old man
Outstanding! Perhaps ... Dare I say it ... Almost better than the original
gorgeous, and clean as fuck !!!
Sounds like a mix of Evanscene, and two other styles. Interesting.
Pavel Nedved on keys
Far out
Esta bien pero la fuerza y el ronquido de la voz no va con la cancion
singing quiet songs loud should be a capital offence
I liked it until the "for a minute " part, she made it all tough and hard when it's supposed to be soft and choral, and then she did it great at the very end but I think every "for a minute there" should've been that soft and light
I see your point, but I'm on the other side of this opinion as I'm literally addicted to that part lol!
The sustained belt is beautiful, but even the part when she gets right aggressive with the hands like "Just for a minute there", yikes I blush lol.
