Get ready for the first Pacific Engagement Visa ballot to be held in mid 2024. The Australian Government have released new details for the visa application requirements - cost, English language requirements and finding work information is now available.
The following countries can enter the first PEV ballot in 2024:
🇫🇲 Federated States of Micronesia
🇫🇯 Fiji
🇳🇷 Nauru
🇵🇼 Palau
🇵🇬 Papua New Guinea
🇸🇧 Solomon Islands
🇹🇱 Timor Leste
🇹🇴 Tonga
🇹🇻 Tuvalu
🇻🇺 Vanuatu (to be confirmed)
The PEV or the Pacific Engagement Visa Subclass 192 will allow 3000 people to become Australian Permanent Residents each year.
There will be a visa pre-application ballot process for nationals of participating Pacific Island countries and Timor Leste.
If you are eligible to apply for the PEV as a national of participating Pacific Island countries or Timor Leste you can enter the ballot for random selection to apply for the PEV visa.
What are the steps to apply?
Step 1: Enter the ballot
Step 2: If you get randomly drawn from the ballot, apply for the visa and pay the application fee
Step 3: If your visa is granted, you are an Australian PR
