Fun fact The phrase "under god" wasnt added to the pledge of allegence untill the 1960s because people thought communist where all athiest so by adding religion to the pledge it would be more anti communist.

I don't mind using they them to make people feel comfortable, but we have to draw the line somewhere or everyone is going to have mental problems going forward. It's gonna be to complicated for kids to understand. If they think they can be hundreds of different things. Being a kid is confusing with all the hormones going on in your body. You often feel or I often felt like I didn't know where I fit in. Now instead of taking that journey to to learn about yourself and who you are. Kids are going online and creating a persona for themselves because they don't feel comfortable in their own skin, and don't take the time to get to know themselves. People throw themselves into the internet as an escape and come across people with feelings similar to themselves and band together in creating some "identifier for what they feel." I am the only heterosexual person in my family. I support my family, and had a safe space to see if I am het, which I’ve found that I am. I briefly dated someone who was genderfluid and realized that I couldn’t date them because I couldn’t feel like I could be romantically attracted to them and respect their gender at the same time. This video makes me very happy that communities are fighting against unruly authority
The fact that the dude somehow linked The Giving Tree and communism is hilarious. And can we just note that this republic was built on the idea of freedom and they're trying to restrict freedom. Edit: Holy crap this comment kind of blew up. At this moment, I don't think there's anything about the original comment I would change. I still stand by all points made in the two sentences above. On a final note, thanks to everyone who liked this comment.
So this is my school district and I have an LGBTQ child in CB South. I am disgusted and appalled at what this board is doing. Makes me sick each day. Thank god for some of the amazing teachers and community members who are banning together. Sad when my child says “mom why are we going backwards?” My heart breaks for her and her friends!
It’s disgusting how gays think they can shove their sex life style down normal peoples throats. And then cry wolf because no one normal wants to hear about how gay you are.
That's rough buddy. Well, at least the people who are resistant to the inclusion of LGBTQ+ and other minorities will be dead some day. Except the billionaires. They're going to be able to afford the technology for further sustained life while they suck away the rest of the economy. But all this just means we're on the cusp of change, like right before the Civil War or the American Revolution. I had a point to this, but I can't seem to find it. Uh.. good luck!?
What an astonishingly accurate description your child gives of current political trends in your country. Followed by the desire to understand why things are the way they are. It must be a pleasure to teach your child. (Soon to be teacher speaking) So first of all: Keep being proud of your child. You can be. Seccondly: The language used in this quote does something crucialy important to anyone who wants to advocate for equal rights. It uses a picture of society that can move (so discrimination against any given group is not to be accepted as a fact of live or somthing) and it uses a picture that describes society and its people as existing on one level. Nobody is above anybody (which would imply that gravity, a natural force, worked against those below the privilged groups, from where one had to logicly conclude that hirarchy as a natural state is unchangable) but people can position themselves. At least as far as society allows them to move, until it drags narrow minded folks forward or holds progressive people back. Your child, I imagine, is currently expierencing this movement which is imposed by society. My advise would be to strenghten the attitude of society not being about supressing others and the existence of the possibility to change it (for better or worse). "Wer kämpft, kann verlieren. Wer nicht kämpft, hat schon verloren." is a quote by german writer Bertold Brecht. It translates to "Whoever fights, may lose. Whoever doesn't, already has." This is as much as a stranger on the internet has to offer to a child trying to make sense of the fucked up thing that the right wing is. Today we fight, so that tomorrow we won't need to hide.
We need all the sane moral people in society to stand up and fight as passionately as the right wing is lately.. when good people stay neutral then we lose ground.. we all need to stop seeing activists as an equal opposite to right wing extremists and become fighters for what is right.. nobody can stay on the sidelines when the fascists unify and start their shit. These kids need us adults to back them up and fight this fight for them.. they shouldn’t have to be defending their own education and humanity. It is our duty to defend the education of all the kids and especially the safety of LGBTQ kids.

@@Shrimp_Eggg Damn really? I read Anne Frank not too long ago and It's definetly appropriate for most ages (I wouldn't say children, but teens are A-OK), what were the arguments?
1984 is sort of understandable, but It's also not that heavy (Anne Frank is heavier because, you know, Holocaust and all that) and Its sexual themes aren't pornographic at all, but rather part of Its political message around puritanism.
Hot take: 1984 is fine, not very good, just fine since both on Its political message and as a work of fiction aren't all that well developed, part of the political part is an incomplete rehash of anarchist criticism towards socialism, and the characters aren't very deep but the universe is really interesting and carefully thought out (the fictional Trotsky part is really good, It's actually one of my favorites in the whole book).

My uncle is a public school teacher, he’s straight and cis and has a pride flag in his classroom, and was told by the school to take it down because a parent complained. He had to talk with them for a week before they allowed him to keep it, but only in a “personal area” which was just his desk. I don’t understand why schools hate pride flags so much
Schools are basically the only place where the 1st amendment is invalid for some reason so right-wingers like the ones on this school board take advantage of it to push their agenda to our youth
Because they don't wanna deal with such things & don't want anyone else to either.
@@lunarcat3283 Kinda sad, and also weird to still call it "Free Speech and free country" when it clearly is not.
cause all the gay kids in my school are all drama queens and attention seeking. They legit bring up the fact that they're part of the lgbtq community in every arguement. In english class we were doing debating and this mf brings up the fact that she's a lesbian in an arguement about what FKING PHONE IS BETTER.
Because kids shouldn't be influenced to be gay or LGBTQ? like if there is a gay flag there should be straight flag, so then they are equally influenced.
Gotta love the people behind him who can't contain their laughter!

They recognized him.
@@pechaa I doubt it. It’s just obvious he is joking
If these jerks want to ban something, why not weapons & especially guns? I know, they'd NEVER consider doing that.
what are you talking about schools are gun-free zones.
@@XxbakabakabakaxX Making schools 'gun free zones' in towns & cities full of guns is hardly a guarantee that the violence won't permeate the schools. Seriously, while it's illegal to kill, it doesn't stop some people -- that's what I'm talking about.
Dude. Are you nuts? The problem isn't guns. Wow, isn't that crazy! The problem is who uses it. We shouldn't ban guns because that WON'T solve anything. We banned alcohol for a short period of time and you know what happened? Riots. So if we outright banned guns conservatives would riot. Another thing is that it doesn't stop bad people from getting guns. They'll still find a way. Shootings would still happen. The only difference is we wouldn't be able to defend ourselves. If someone breaks into our home, we're screwed. There's no point in banning guns because it'd just make things worse. Sure a lot of those things would be less common, but that doesn't mean people would resort to peace. What we need to do is make it harder to get guns. Yeah sick people can still find a way to get it like if we were to outright ban guns, but good people can get them too. Wanna go hunting? Go for it! Someone breaks into your house? Protect yourself, your property, and your family! And another thing, there's just no point in pride flags being in schools. It's just a cheap way of making gay kids feel included. But at the same time we have a lot of christians and muslims who believe it's a sin, and chances are we have more christians then gay kids. Not to mention pride flags are just stupid. There's no point in them. We've grown so much as a nation where gay people are accepted as normal, pride flags are now just a sign of a crazy person, a narcissist, or a very annoying person. Pride month is completely ignored now, the only people that celebrate it are either insane, annoying, or narcissistic. There's no point. Funny enough, if we had straight flags everywhere you would understand why we're annoyed. It's just narcissists forcing their beliefs down your throat. Why can't we just grow brains and realize when something's stupid? Kids don't need to be showered with gay shit. They don't care. I don't get giddy when someone notices I'm colorblind and puts up a colorblind flag to make me feel included 💀 If anything it'd make me feel uncomfortable. Why? Because it'd feel like people are treating me like I'm special rather than I'm normal. I'd much rather be treated like I'm normal rather than I'm unique. I'm a functional member of society, why treat me like a god?
@DroopCoop that clearly struck a nerve.. you wrote an entire essay🌚 also you kids aren't going to be "showered" with gay stuff. They most likely won't even be taught it, which is bad. People NEED to know about it, yeah maybe don't teach them when there 4 but atleast tell them when there 13? They need to understand it
@@hoffmanmotors I agree but just walk around any major city and you'll see like fifteen pride flags lol It's a little obsessive. If I were gay I wouldn't wanna be treated like I'm special, to the point where straight people think I need validation from a flag lol I don't even remember what I wrote bc YT's hiding my comment, so I don't even know if I'm off topic lol But yea, I just think it's stupid how we still celebrate things like pride month and we shower gay people with parades when they're already accepted as normal. Literally only annoying people, narcissists, and genuinely crazy people treat their pride flags like a god and their pride parades like a religious ritual 💀

Anything truly, but especially things that are vital to a kids life, such as social interactions which include gender, sexual orientation, and race or ethnicity, or drug and alcohol substances and sexual activity are all complex topics that a kid can and will learn about during there middle school and teenage years.

Especially when those others aren't of age. There are plenty of places for people to learn this information now days. Maybe its just bc I'm an adult now so I notice things more but it seems everything has gone way too far in the past couple years. People are making up new words to identify themselves. We need to help people regain control over their mental health not feed into their delusions by making up neo pronouns etc. to make them feel comfortable in their compromised mental position. A kid in my in college English who wanted to be know as "vampself" what is that? In my mind buying into that is like telling a schizophrenic their delusions are real. It's actively harming and doing a disservice to that person. They actually got mad at the professor for not addressing them as such. People throw themselves into the internet as an escape and come across people with feelings similar to themselves and band together in creating some "identifier for what they feel." I feel like the LGBT has gone so far past not conforming to the normal heterosexual person that it's lost it's identity. Maybe you'd consider me hateful for holding this opinion. I really am not I have no issues with any adult based on what they choose to do or how they choose to act. But I can't help but think some of this exploded while everyone was in lockdown and isolation when people were struggling mentally and couldn't get help. I know I got way off script here, but I hope it sort of makes sense why I don't want it in schools. It's such a complex and diverse issue that people view in so many way. It's come so far so fast in just a few years, and people who aren't in the in group hardly understand what it means anymore. I used to understand it perfectly. Followed by the desire to understand why things are the way they are. It must be a pleasure to teach your child. (Soon to be teacher speaking)
So first of all: Keep being proud of your child.
Whoever doesn't, already has."
This is as much as a stranger on the internet has to offer to a child trying to make sense of the fucked up thing that the right wing is.
Today we fight, so that tomorrow we won't need to hide.
@@dasseher1467 Probably the nicest thing I've ever seen in youtube comments
We need all the sane moral people in society to stand up and fight as passionately as the right wing is lately.. when good people stay neutral then we lose ground.. we all need to stop seeing activists as an equal opposite to right wing extremists and become fighters for what is right.. nobody can stay on the sidelines when the fascists unify and start their shit. These kids need us adults to back them up and fight this fight for them.. they shouldn’t have to be defending their own education and humanity. It is our duty to defend the education of all the kids and especially the safety of LGBTQ kids.
Props too all of the young people speaking at this event. It really gives me hope for the bleak future
As a person living in Central Bucks, you are a literal hero.
Thank you
No, thank you. We need more people like you to clown those evil bastards.
