Even the remaining races, the Mercedes were clearly faster than the Ferrari by a long shot. And people still believe Ferrari is the faster car on both seasons
We clearly saw that the Ferrari was much faster than the Mercedes the only true thing during theses 2 seasons was Ferrari messed up the strategys of seb or having a reliability issues like Malaysia suzuka or having some crashes like Singapore Mexico …( I’m a Ferrari fan bro and I admite that)

Ferrari was slower than Mercedes in qualifying by an absolute country mile and they only had the faster car in 3 races total. 2018 they had the faster car for the first 3 races after Australia before Mercedes out-developed them from Spain until Hungary. Ferrari only had the faster car for 2 more races after that, and the amount of 1-2s they had speaks volumes. Go watch the season again

Vettel lost the championship by 44 points due to his 2 DNFs in Singapore and Japan where Lewis managed to win both races and score a 50-0 to Vettel. 2018: Ferrari had the advantage over Mercedes thanks to a more powerful engine. Vettel was leading the championship until Germany. Vettel lost all his confidence after his DNF in Germany and made a lot of mistakes while Hamilton entered in his Prime. Just a reminder, Bottas finished P5 in the championship. Go watch both season again.
@@flom1951 your very comment is the very definition of someone who didn’t watch a single race and just assumed it from the results you found from Wiki. Raikkonen was a pit stop behind every race in 2017 and was still behind Bottas even though Mercedes compromised his race to block Vettel. And you call that “equal on pace”? 2018 Bottas would’ve led the championship if he didn’t get the puncture in Baku. He was consistently challenging the top 3, unlike Raikkonen, before his impossible one stop strategies to block Vettel like in Silverstone and Hungary compromised his race. And don’t get me started on how many points he was forced to give to Hamilton on team orders. All of that and Bottas still finished 4 points behind. Stats don’t mean much in F1…that’s basic knowledge you should’ve known
