      I've only gotten into F1 since 2018 and even as a newcomer I kept thinking that Ferrari's mistakes seem to be more strategy and pit stop blunders than driver mistakes. No disrespect to Hamilton's talent, but Mercedes' strategies won them a LOT of 2019's races. Even Mercedes' themselves were saying Ferrari's car might have been faster 2019. Heck, everyone knew they were faster on the straights.

    He gave everything for them and they didn't give it to him in return...
    People call him a bottler but really in 2017 he would've won if Ferrari's reliability didn't become garbage towards the end of the season. Everyone batters him about Singapore 2017, Germany 2018, and all the spins and errors he's made over the 2018 and 19 season but no one talks about drives such as Bahrain 18 Britain 18 Hungary 15 Bahrain 17, etc. and how he was constantly toe to toe or better than Lewis up until that disastrous Hockenheim race. It affected him mentally and stuff like that takes a while to recover from. He took a while but finally made it back in Canada 19 where his win was taken away (I think it should've been let Lewis by and continue racing). He got screwed over in Austria, and then his drive at Germany was magical. in the wet, 20th to second, zero mistakes. Compared to the rest of the grid who either crashed out or were super mistake prone. He was the only driver that drove a flawless race. Belgium he had to help his teammate get the win by holding back, Monza he should've been on pole but Leclerc decided to be a bully and not give the slipstream he received. Singapore he drove an awesome race, super consistent, zero errors, and won despite having a slow pitstop due to a magical outlap. Russia, he should've won but hybrid engines. Japan his pole was scintillating, and despite the bad start he still managed to hold off Lewis masterfully while he was under pressure. USA drove an amazing quail but the car decided to become McQueen. He's just been constantly wrecked by Ferrari's unreliability and stupid strategies. I'm glad he's going because he's only going to feel worse and worse if he stays there. Ferrari did it to Alonso, they did it to Kimi, they did it to him. Joke of a team. I can only hope they get things together and don't ruin Leclerc and Sainz.
    Forza Seb. Please stay in F1 man. We're not ready to be without you just yet and we know you've still got that speed champ.

      100% agree. I also like Leclerc but he’s the one who started the bullying and got on an ego trip. Without Seb he wouldn’t have won in Spa and wouldn’t have had pole and won in Monza. He also did more than a couple stupid mistakes but nobody talks about that. He bottled it in Baku where he pushed to 100% in Q2, something a veteran wouldn’t do and was late to open the steering and take the escape road. In Monaco he was way to aggressive. Everybody knew he’d eventually crash. Even in Austria one has to question his tire management. He’s mesmerizingly quick over a single lap but I feel he cannot manage a race like a true champion like Seb or Lewis

      @@brennao7577 Well, the time to go would've come anyway. Can't imagine him going to a midfield team. Though anything is possible. But the future of F1 is bright. The rivalry between Verstappen and Leclerc (and, possibly Russell, if Mercs will still deliver a proper vehicle after the new regulations) might overshadow that of Vettel v Hamilton. Anyway, we won't have a proper rivalry between multiple title holders anytime soon though if Vettel leaves F1.

      He could never have won the championship in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2019. The Ferrari car and team just wasn't good enough over the whole season. But from Germany 2018 onwards he's made to many mistakes. Considering his experience as a driver it was just too much. This video just makes it painfully clear that his confidance and dicision making wasn't good enough the last year and a half to win titles, let alone beat his new teammate. Even though he is a 4 time World champion he was beaten by two youngsters who were new to his team. He gave the feedback to make the car to his liking and he got smashed and forced out of his team twice. I don't ever see that happening to Hamilton for example. And that does put a mark on his records. But Ferrari have only given him a car capable of winning a championship in 2018. So i would have expected they would give him another three year deal. If Hamilton and Vettel would have swapped seats from 2015 to 2019. Vettel would be a 8 time world champion and Hamilton perhaps would have won it in 2018.

    It’s just sad that this channel of all of them would show a 4 time world champion, the 4th most successful driver by championships and he third by wins such little respect. When a driver who has reasonable achievements like points or a podium at best leaves they show their best moments. But when one of the greatest of all time is on his way from the red team, the prancing horse, the mythical team that let him and his reputation down time and again, they show all his mistakes when he was the only reason why Ferrari were even considered rivals to Mercedes. Without him, Ferrari might have a good car by would be scrounging down the order without a driver to challenge Hamilton. Yes their were mistakes from
    Vettel, but those originated from within the team, the political pressure and stress is more intense than anywhere on the grid. But Seb coped brilliantly in his time, I believe that he deserved at least one more title this decade, at least to protect his reputation from so many who believe him to be nothing more than a flawed driver. And even without his Red Bull days counted, he was still a force to reckon with. I hope Vettel finds his way to a team and car that allows him to win the championship again, and that he once again shows the world that he is a champion and a true legend of this sport.

      @rumblefish9 4 года назад +6

      @@the9der352 no its not. Alonso at Ferrari put stunning drives after stunning drives in a car 4th fastest on the grid and 1.5+ secs off the pace. Alonso's Ferraris had no business being in podiums let alone win races but he did. In 2010, Alonso almost won but a pit fuel error caused by Ferrari denied him the championship. In 2012 Ferrari regressed even more, Vettel won 5 to Alonso's 3. Vettel had 6 poles to Alonso's 2. Alonso had zero fastest laps while Vettel had 6. What made Alonso a formidable opponent was consistency and ability to outdrive mediocre cars as Alonso took 13 podiums to Vettel's 10. Alonso lost the championship in the last race when Ferrari bungled his race strategy (also add to that the fact that Grosjean took him out in Belgium). But everyone saw Alonso outperforming in those Ferraris. Its why F1 team bosses voted Alonso 'Driver of the Year' for 2010 and 2012 despite Vettel winning the championship. Alonso was frustrated with Ferrari's lack of development and the political infighting that ousted De Montezemolo and didn't want to commit long term to the team. Domenicali has acknowledged that it was Ferrari who failed Alonso not the other way around. Domenicali said this in 2012 "Obviously we are not happy, in fact we are very disappointed with this result. We were unable to give our drivers a car with which they could compete for the front rows of the grid, despite all our best efforts here at the track and back at the factory in Maranello," Domenicali then resigned. Marco Mattiacci was put in Domenicali's place and was sacked a day after Alonso's last race. Vettel on the other hand threw away championships with mistakes after mistakes. In 2017 and 2018 he had the pace but couldn't handle the pressure.

      @@eeshandev5081 Ferrari was literally faster in over 60% of the races in 2018. Even Di Montezemolo admitted Ferrari were better. I bet Hamilto would have fought for the title until the last race in that 2017 Ferrari as well.

    You know F1 content is drying up when they post a video for the 2020 season that hasn't even happened yet. Let the man race one last season FFS.
