So happy for you Diane and Randy , that you guys are getting away .Staying in one place will make it more relaxing.Wishing you both a Merry Christmas and a Happy Newyears
Merry Christmas 🎄🎁 and Happy NewYears....So happy for you both , being able to get back out there , you look GREAT
Thank you so much! We are so excited to be back on the road! Merry Christmas to you Dale & Kat!
Have fun in Florida this winter!
We're looking forward to it! Yesterday we got our annual pass for Disney World, looking forward to visiting with out the pressure of trying to do everything in one day.
Glad to see you on the road again. Florida is full of things to do. One place we went to while there was Homosassa Springs. It was a nice day trip. Enjoy your winter in the warm weather!
Thanks for the tip. we have visited Homosassa Springs State Park a couple years ago , but one of our neighbors suggested Homosassa Springs as a great place to go kayaking. Looking forward to finding out.
You should have watched my review of the Lumberton KOA.
I didn’t mention but we paid $80 overnight. Big rip off.
I will have to check out your review - thanks!
Happy to see you back at traveling. Enjoy the winter warmth in Florida.
Thank you we will - it was starting to get cold back home🥶.
@ZephyrTravels we're in NW Pennsylvania 60 miles from erie pa I'm sure you seen what they got. Luckily we weren't hit that bad
@@danettehead7353 everyone along the western side of Lake Erie go hit hard with that last weather event. Our friends south of Buffalo go over 2’ overnight.
Safe travels!! We are also staying in one place this winter for 4 months. We are looking forward to it! Nice touch showing your progress on the map. Hello Zephyr! LOL! He looked right into the camera. Glad you made there safely! - Michelle
@@airstreamer Staying in one place (that not our house) for any length of time is a big change for us. Thankfully I thank central Florida will have plenty of us to do and explore during our stay. Are you guys are spending your winter in central Florida too? If you are message us on FB, maybe we can get together sometime this winter.
@@ZephyrTravels We would love to meet you guys! We are not going to be in FL this year. We are in AZ. - Jim & Michelle
LOL - any other winter we would be in AZ too but after everything that happened last winter we wanted to stay a little closer to home this year. We are planning to attend the International Rally in York this summer, may we will see you there?
@@ZephyrTravels Yes! We plan to attend International. It will be our first! Look forward to seeing you there. :)
@@airstreamer sounds like a plan.
So happy to see you back on the road! We went on one of the airboat tours in Central Florida and enjoyed it. Lake Wales is a great place to learn to fly paramotors but you’re probably not as crazy as me (see my channel). 😅 Will you attend the RV Supershow next month? Can’t wait to share your Florida adventures! Brent and Betsy
Thanks Brent and Betsy! We've never been on an airboat tour but we will add it to our list of things to do. We will be at the Florida Supershow in January, any thing you what us to check out for you?
Safe Travels
@@campfirerob1089 Thank you! Be sure to follow along with our adventures.
I have the Lumberton KOA scheduled for my April trip to Florida but I might rethink where to stop based on your comments. When I am dragging the rig I like to be off the road around 3 PM. Glad to see Zephyr.. I thought something might have happened to Zephyr since I didn't see him in the truck on the ride down. Looks like a good start to your winter trip.
Stay at North Pointe.
Cheaper, big pullthru sites.
Or South of the Border Pedro’s.
We are staying at Pedro’s this year.
It’s only 17 more miles
The Lumberton KOA was fine, but a little over priced at $65 for one night. I think what reality got me was when we called the KOA we were told that the only sites they had available were the higher price sites, but in the app their was some available at $48 per night. On the plus side, Monty and Zephyr really enjoyed the dog parks at the KOAs.
Diane said the same thing about Zephyr when she watched the video 😳. Zephyr likes to sleep while we are driving and ony waking up when we stop or treats are handed out 😁.
South of the Border Pedro’s campground was suggested by one of the other campers we meet. The only down side I was told is they do not have a dog park.
@@ZephyrTravels I was also worried about where Zephyr was until I remembered he was in the opening - no need to worry!
LOL - it’s usually Monty that doesn’t get equal time in the videos. I will have to make sure that Zephyr gets her time in front of the camera. After all the channel is named after her. 😳
Have you run into many places that will not allow your Chow?
We never been turned away from a campground but I have been very careful to book campgrounds that allow Chows. We prefer to stay in public campgrounds and most of them have no restrictions on type of dogs as long as they’re not aggressive. Private campgrounds are more restrictive about what breed are allowed and we found some that do not allow Chows. I think it’s an insurance thing (at least that’s what they say on their websites). Interesting we found that many private campgrounds in California are restrictive. KOAs policy is only on aggressive dogs. Last year when Monty was attacked by a pit bull at a KOA we were staying at, the owner of the pit bull were told to remove the dog from the campground.
Our Chows are may be protective of us and will bark at strangers inside our campsite, but are never aggressive. We have had Chows for over 30 years and are very careful to socialize them around people so we don’t have any problems. Great question, thanks for asking.
@ my husband and I have a purebred chow and a chow mix. We will be doing some rving next year and found some campgrounds that state no Chows and a lot that want under 45lb dog. Our purebred Chow is not aggressive at all. He looks like Monty. Our other does not look like a chow but we had her dna tested and she is mostly chow. Thank you for responding
@@tammywilliams313 - just do your home work when you make your reservations and you will not have any problems. We really enjoy traveling with our Chows, they are very special companions and so many people comment to us when they see them about Chows they had in the past. 😍
