- I did my first ever big girl solo trip this month to Chicago. I basically decided I wanted to do a solo trip in the US before my big long international solo trip so I looked up the cheapest flights from San Diego to everywhere and Chicago was it! I only paid $185 for a round trip flight and my hostel accommodation was $280 for 6 nights. It all worked out so well that I knew I had to go. So anyway, this is basically my travel diary for this trip. I ate a lot of really yummy food, met some really cool people, and experienced some really fun activities. Chicago is definitely a place I’ll come back to. -xo

Just watched your solo trip to Chicago. Great content. I’m happy you got to enjoy some of our great food and see the fantastic city but next time PLEASE do not jump on the Red Line. Unfortunately it’s just too dangerous today and if you’re not familiar with it a person can become an easy target. I’m glad you had a great trip and able to put out a great video. Wow I’m so happy to help! I feel like we’re doing the exact same trip. You are going to have a blast! I thought Chicago was a great city to have my first solo trip in. Lockers were big enough for my checked luggage. Beds were comfortable and the bar in the hostel was so great for meeting other people. Also conveniently located!
