Got s67 last year and trying to get another outdoor speakers that have more bass and battery life ..i need advice if i should get the s97 🙏

would love to see a comparison between the zealot and the boom 2! I've grown to like zealot tbh, decent and good speakers, something at every price (especially for the budget oriented crowd) and generally good reviews. Been loving your reviews Jagist, your channel is hella underrated and i hope you keep kicking ass with your reviews and comparisons. Some of your videos made me pull the trigger on a tribit stormbox blast and i couldnt be hapier :)
I'll try to get a boom 2 soon and do that test, this is my first zealot speaker but I'm rather enjoying it

does the ZEALOT S79 have more bass than the T11 and the JBL 2 & 3? also whats the battery size on the zealot?
No it has more bass than the extreme 3 but not the boombox 2 and 3, it's much smaller than those speakers
I actually came up with a fix for the xtreme 3, you get an eq and Boost the frequencies between 95 and 125 hz by ~2,5 - 4 DB and you get some punch at max volume, because the x3 has good sub bass, but lacks upper punch
I'll have to try it out at some point, the extreme 3 and 4 are good speakers I just think they are asking way to much money for them

Freq: 110
Gain: 2.5
After 85% Vol reduce the gain to 1 up to 1.5 depending on the song To avoid distortion

@@Jagistreviews charge 5 sounds quite warm, and balance. Make sure you git the ND because. That's the real improvement, because the TL is just A flat sounding similar to Xtreme 3 ND, then the audio also has sharp signature. But the Charge 5 ND has most balance. The TL flip 6 has balance too but it doesn't have much clarity as GG and does not have deep bass. But enough warm to be sounds helpful to listen, not to destroy ears
Can the S78 be paired to the S79 to play simultaneously in stereo mode(tws) or can this only be done with 2 of the exact models only?
I'm trying to figure it out but I think It might have to be the same model

Not yet but I've seen lots of videos of people doing it, I'm just afraid of damaging the woofers
@@Jagistreviews It should not damage woofer, more of the tweeters. After you turn off dsp tweeters boost a lot of treble, but i had mine in eq on pc so i reduced treble

Yeah it’s pretty wild. You have to eq the mids and highs out. You will shred your tweeters even on battery. But it seems like the bass is reduced. But when you get higher up on the volume scale the passive radiators start slapping against the housing. It’s no joke. I turn that shit off real quick on mine. 😂

Remember this my friend's S79 does have more bass than the xtreme He did not use The bass boost because its only good for UP to about 60- 70% after that the speaker will overdrive.
Ya the zealot has way more bass than the extreme 3 in bass boost mode but you can only go up to about 70 or 80 percent in that mode, otherwise it will distort

How do you know when it is full charged? The green light stops blinking or just when the light turns green?
Ya it's fully charged when the light on top is solid green
@@Jagistreviews I bought it because of your video reviews! The sound is amazing and it has a lot of bass, even in normal mode, I would prefer to be louder but it is good for its price and size. But it takes a lot of time for being fully charged, which charger do you use?, I would glad if you bring me the specifications for the one that you use and the time that takes to be full please, I don't want to overcharge it or damage the battery by using an unpropper one :/ (my english is kind of rusty but I hope you understand me jeje)
@DanielRojas-qg6le your good I just use a 5 watt usbc charger, just charge it till it's a solid green light on top, it should not over charge they have built in chips to make sure it does not happen, I'm glad that you are liking it, it's a really good speaker especially for the price

Please how do I know when my zealot s79 is fully charge does the green 💚 light go off or?
It just goes from a green fading light to a solid green when it's fully charged

Let's do a bass-off. Every boombox style speaker only from 40hz and down with the db-meter showing the output at a distance 1 meter. That should get some good views. And we can pin the results in the comments.

My poor Extreme 3.
I think the Extreme 3 may have less bass, But the smaller size and more rounded design wins it for me.
Just in general, It’s not always about sound when it comes too looks and portability.
Zealot has bass hitting lower notes,
For its size it’s lacking a bit of the definition in the treble and clarity of the bass.
Seems to have better mids.
Bass is muddy.
JBL is a winner due too its cleaner design and more refined sound signature.
Hard battle this one. They’re both so close.
Agreed for sure, the price difference between them is very drastic as well, the zealot has way more bass on bass boost mode like onyx 7 type bass but you can't use it past like 70 or 80 percent because the speakers over drive in that mode, so I just been using standard eq, I probably should use voice eq though because it gives the highs way more sparkle and clarity but just a little less bass so I couldn't decide what eq to use

Yeah dude I stand by what I told you a couple of days ago if I had to choose even if they were the same price I'd probably take the zealot over the xtreme Battery life multiple inputs And definitely the bass Hell, it's safe to use the base boost. Around 60 to 70, I've come to learn. And let's not forget it also depends on what you play. If the track is already boosted, don't use bassboost!... Yeah, technically
The JBL sounds better but only a little bit, not enough to make me say yes, screw it I'll take this little bit of extra clarity above the overall performance! So glad I bought it. I wanted to get it in gray but I was not going to pay almost a $100 in shipping just for a different color.😅
You lose deep bass if you take zealot. Is just disappointing keeps the same Woofers every model
Very true you are getting a way bigger battery and more inputs with the zealot and if you only are planning to use it up to 70 or 80 percent volume you can use bass mode which actually demolishes the extreme 3 in bass, you just can't go above that because it can overdrive the speakers and distort
@FORZANDE9910 the zealot actually in person has better bass then the extreme 3, everything past 60 percent volume on the jbl is just treble and you lose almost all bass, the zealot holds its bass way better to full volume, but the jbl sounds clearer and has better highs throughout
@@Jagistreviews i think yhe Xtreme 4 has larger battery. Is just the sound still quite the same. Isn't big enough to justify the price. Don't trust others saying it's a big difference, the bass remains quite the same, at low volumes the Xtreme 3 is better than the Xtreme 4. At high volumes, the Xtreme 4 just tinny Abit of bass, but still quite flat sounding

Good review. Dam the zealot to me wins more base maybe the treble is not that high. But the zealot is more warm sound and loud at the same time but the JBL have more base at 50 but the zealot keep it base right to 100 and 1 more JBL is plug in and zealot still own its own so good review definitely know about quality when come boom box overall.

I just take Xtreme 3 GG. Because ND Xtreme 3 is even worse than it is. Xtreme 3 GG has a better power max volume. It has the power. But also quite harsh, i do the update instead. I wish Xtreme 3 does have large oval woofer so it doesn't flat at max volume

@@Jagistreviews that's decent. Since there's a Xtreme 3 that looks like a GG. But it was GT. Sounds clean, has deep bass, has power. The bass was alot better than ND. It has boomy too
It’s because of the way that they designed the power configuration on the Extreme 3. I’m not quite sure in battery mode, but I want to say it’s either 50 or 60 watts.
In the owner’s manual in the Tech Specs, it states 25+25 woofers, 25+25 tweeters. 100 watts a/c mode. (when it’s plugged in). So in theory, it’s set up the same way in battery mode.
Bottom line is, that the same amount of power is going to the tweeters. Going -1 on the JBL App helps it out a lot at louder volumes. I’m talking about taking a little bit of the tweeters that is.
Very true and I do realize you can only get so much bass out of a speaker this size, but that is one of the problems I have with it, otherwise it's a dang good speaker

It's very loud, I would say it's as loud as the harmon kardon go plus play 3 and I think even the skullcandy Barrel xt
Hey BTW I added a video comparing my X3 to my MUQI MQ14 if you’re interested. Like I said before. For $85 I think it’s the best sounding speaker at that price point. When it’s full price $170 it’s just meh…

zealot has decent bass but the xtreme 3 still has a cleaner sound quality imo.
I agree, I definitely think the jbl extreme 3 has a much more clear sound and a cleaner bass, the zealot s79 is a good speaker for the price though
@@Jagistreviews the s79 is a steal for its price if your looking for a good quality speaker. but I personally like well balanced speakers with punchy bass and still retain that clarity at 60-70% volume. that's why I went for the JBL xtreme 3.

Not that this category of boomy crappy speakers. The flip6, charge 5, Boombox 3 category does makes more sense. It does improve move away from 2x crappy low power circle fullrange drivers to something unique in it sizw. Like 1 large oval driver, 1 tweeter, and much larger passive radiators. The flip 6 does the same thing. But is just the limiter who make it sounds fairly flat at max volume. You can always min the highs in max volume to get sounds like closely muffled, but super warm and have more bass at max volume. ND charge 5 has don't need EQ at max volume because it sounds bass heavy and warm. Powerful. The Boombox 3 the same thing. Max volume no longer sounds harsh. Just keep updating the firmware. But this? Xtreme series keeps. Remaining the same every year. The Xtreme 4 has slightly better capacity than the Xtreme. Just the battery is unreliable. And sound and power remains the same. Same audio. Maybe the difference only bass and loudness. The Xtreme 2 is the most quiet Xtreme speaker. But they managed to to fix it. And it's far the best overall Xtreme improvement. When Xtreme 3 comes out. The bass was degrades abit. But is also become even more deeper. But not huge. The GG Xtreme 3 has deeper bass, but isn't as deep as the ND. Which is even flat sounding. With the release of Xtreme 4. I am very disappointing. Remains the same. With large battery. Same setup(without oval woofer) same tweeters (difference is power. Still sounds flat max volume.) the new EQ is completely failure.) overall. Xtreme category is. Failure)
Ya I hear ya loud and clear and agree 100 percent with you, I really thought the extreme 4 was going to have 1 big oval speaker and 3 tweeters much like the new boom 2 from soundcore but instead we got the same thing as the 3 with minimal amounts of better sound but a bigger removable battery, idk if I even want to spend almost 400 on the extreme 4 literally there are way better cheaper options although bigger out there

Jbl bb3 has better and more bass than any of the zealot speakers so far, the zealot has more bass than the jbl extreme though
Zealot S98 is coming out soon and is the flagship zealot speaker with 160W and much bigger drivers.

The s79 has better sound from what I've seen and better lights it's design looks like a smaller tribit stormbox blast, I'd go with the s79, it's a better model in my opinion

The more I listen to tests between JBL and other brands I find that JBL and a little more muffled and muddled... there for example the Zealot S79 I find it much clearer in terms of the Channels and the bases are not bad by compared to the JBL which is a little messy
Plus j'écoute des tests entreJBL et des autres marques je trouve que JBL et un petit peu plus étouffer et brouillon... là par exemple la Zealot S79 je la trouve beaucoup plus clair au niveau des Voies et les bases ne sont pas mauvaise par rapport à la JBL qui elle est un peu brouillon
Ya the jbl does have some muffled sometimes, the zealot S79 is actually quite an amazing speaker with great bass and good clarity, I love it

If Xtreme series decided to step up going away from typical to something unique. Which Hopestar, Boom2, even the fake Xtreme made in china does have large Bass driver in the center despite it's fake. I'm highly disappointment. It does not go to Oval Woofer! Anyways. The only solution of Xtreme 4 to be have way rumble than it should!!
I hope jbl makes the extreme 5 with a big oval driver and tweeters like the boom 2, they should have done it bit they didn't and now we have to wait till the extreme 5 to see if they go with a different speaker design

@@Jagistreviews it really keeps the same setup. So the performance difference isn't night and day, as it's price gap. The Boombox 3 for example. has better audio. Has alot of bass. Can create pressure. And even it's more improvement if do updates. No distortions, unlike Boombox 2. Which keeps bottoming out if you use bass heavy track then put in 70+% volume. The Boombox 3 is distortion free. Not perfect. But isn't, or very low chance to occurred. Then since uses 3-way drivers. Has better chance of minimal bass fades, and overpressured indoors, does create vibration and vibrates any objects. Another thing is. The Boombox 2 has only 2way typical setup. So the bass fades has much more noticeable. Because it restricts the power, prevention of bottoming out. Non an issue for Boombox 3. It has wide soundstage. It has alot of power. But hello yeah, when compare to Xtreme category. The difference is maginal because the drivers keeps the same every new model
Boombox 2 moves alot, it can create bottoming out sometimes. The Boombox 3 doesn't move alot at low volumes. Also sounds still balance at max volume. (The Subwoofer pushed more air, mentaining power max volume) Boombox 2 starts to fade at 80% make it sounds quite flat at max volume. Despite isn't moving alot from Boombox 3, the step up is closely huge. Just di the update to fixes some of its existing issues. But overall. The power has close big step up, the Bass has big step up, the wattage has improve alot. But the Xtreme has joke improvements. Nice JBL☠️
In battery mode the zealot s79 will beat extreme 3 to trash 🗑️

I called this to JBL Engineers. To phase out existing models of Xtreme series, and replace it with 3way drivers setup! Make it looks mature and modern like Xtreme 3 looking but has better rubber base, better Codex, and doesn't let partyboost past away! I CALLED THIS TO JBL ENGINEERS TO PHASE OUT STUPID XTREME 4! and make New replacement for Xtreme 4 is modified Xtreme 3. And add large oval woofer then midrange Woofers then tweeters in it! LASTLY I CALLED THIS TO JBL ENGINEERS TO LET ON TOUR RETURN AND PLACES IT BETWEEN XTREME 3 AND BOOMBOX 3!
