- In this video I swap a restored/upgraded Honda GX160 engine onto my Coleman CT100U mini bike. tripling the horsepower of this little mini bike really woke it up!! I also compare having a torque converter vs clutch on the mini bike to see wich one works best for my liking. If you are interested in seeing the restoration and upgrade of the Honda GX160 I will provide the link below. it can also be found by checking out my channel! thanks for watching and have a great day!

Nice job on this. Should have more views so others can see how it's done.
Haha I just found ur channel I have a Honda Spree and a Ct100u that I swapped the motor on !
Keep up the great work love the videos
So I understand you swapped out the torque converter for a clutch but I don’t understand what the clutch lever is hooked up to. Can you help me to understand?
That's good ❤
That would be perfect for a ct200u as well talk about a motor damn
so which one would you say is better? im thinking of getting a toque convertor but seems like alot of work to use a grinder to cut metal so it can fit.. if you like clutch better which gearing would you say is best?
Mostly, it depends on what type of riding you are doing. I just ride around the flat streets, so I prefer the clutch. If I were riding off road or had a lot of hills in my area, I would go with the torque converter.
@@jdmjedi777that’s wild, I just installed a tillotson 212 on my mega moto 212 pro. It came with the torque converter and I really like it, I run a combination of holla and straights and it’s perfect for me. But like you said it depends what your needs are and who you ask.
What mods did you do to the Honda engine? I ha stock honda gx160 engine and runs beautiful but I’m thinking about making mods to it. Any recommendations? That’s a nice ride and it sound amazing.
Thanks man! It's got a few mods like a flat top piston, 1:3 ratio rockers, 22lb valve springs, 21mm carburetor, and a flywheel. If you want this is the video of the build and restoration of the engine. ruclips.net/video/WwP6osvt_ko/видео.htmlsi=V1Jkg05OQfLjdVS6
Hey man got this gas tank on the exact same bike . i got a mikuni carb on it but keeps leaking i already tried 3 carbs and they all leak with this tank… any idea on what it could be?
Where is the carburetor leaking from? Is there a vent hole/hose on the gas cap? I would check for a stuck float or debris in the float valve if it's leaking from the overflow line.
That bih sliding
Curious why you didn't "lap the flywheel?"
I did. At 2:12 I hold the grinding compound up in view of the camera. You may have just missed it. Thanks for checking out my video!
What jet are you runing
I don't remember off the top of my head but I can probably check in the next couple days.
@@jdmjedi777 please do
What did you set your valve ratio to
What size and what clutch did you use?
Where you get the small fuel tank?
Amozone
How fast does it do?
50mph easy. Could be geared to go even faster for sure.
I have no idea why people don't do these honda swaps more often.
They’re expensive if it’s a genuine Honda
Real Hondas cost way to much. A new 6.5 is like 600 bucks.
what fuel tank is that on the bike?
It's from Amazon. Just a small 49cc scooter/pocket bike gas tank.
@@jdmjedi777 Okay thank you so its the 9 dollar one?
@Scoutman-gx4nb I believe so and you are going to want to buy a gas cap breather hose as well. The breather hoses come on different color anodized aluminum, so they add a cool custom look also.
@@jdmjedi777 just a clear hose about 2-3 inches like yours with a cap?
@@Scoutman-gx4nb yup, exactly. It stops the gas from splashing out, especially if the bike gets tipped. Also helps regulate gas vapors venting.
That’s very fast and what was the top speed?
Thank you! I couldn't get my GPS speedometer to work, but I would say it's at least 40mph.
