This is EXTREMELY impressive for an (almost) three year old. As an instructor, I can say that most kids of this age have nowhere near the muscle isolation and development to ride. This kid's going far :)
A kid this young understanding how not to catch their downhill edge is extremely rare. Before you put a 3 year old on a snowboard, know that they are very likely to faceplant... hard. You want kids to have fun first and learn the skills later, and that just works better on skis. I want my kids to ride as much as any other snowboarder, but know even this freakishly adept little kid probably started learning edge control on skis.
Thank you for your comment Zach!! Emile doesn't know what a pair of skis could look like.... He started directly with a snowboard and he did it very well and without injuries... It is strange to think that it might be easier for a child to start snowboarding by skiing. We really wanted our kids to have fun first and learn the skills later (as you said), and that just worked fantastically very good so!!!

The resort is Valmorel in the French alpes. This place is such a good place to practice snowboarding!! But you know dude, snowboarding does not seem to exist there ; this is a real ski resort.
