I'm glad I was humble enough to not assume that I knew the fundamentals. A lot of these videos have been a review, but there are always holes that can be filled in!

Thank you so much Ronnie and Don! I'm a highschool student, and I had to self study for the test due to school closings. With the help of this course and a CompTia textbook, I was able to pass the test today!

5:47. Just found who they are by using IP tracer. The name of the organisation is TelX. Not sure how up-to-date this is though, seeing as this video was uploaded a few years ago.

What is are hardware and software tokens for authentication? Thank you!

Authentication tokens can be physical token like a real key to get access to your house. Many times, this may be like an Identity Card you use to get access to your work. In US military, you may hear the term “CAC” for common access card for you to access a computer. You can also have software tokens too, this is a unique code string that identifies you and perhaps your authorization level too. You use this when running commands against some cloud service via terminal.

Which would be the best path in certification to get to security?
After CompTIA IT Fundamentals, which certification should be better to get?
Network+, Security+ and then go to higher certification like Pentest+ or is there other certifications that would help?

I believe Comptia A+, Its the standard certification that a lot of places look for, Fundamentals isn't really as sought after as A+, once completed there, Then Network or Security etc which ever is the best route you want to go down.

    • @ITProTv

Or United Parcel Service. Did they say something different?

@@ITProTv I though I heard Don say "Universal Power Supply", or is it both in an IT context, I'll rewatch this when I get the chance to make sure I didn't mishear him.
