- Day 1 of our Venice, Italy summer trip 2022. Today was the first of a 6 day trip to Venice, Italy. The town we stayed in is called Mestre, and is 15 minutes outside of Venice Italy by train. We decided to explore the town, and see what Mestre had to offer.
Thanks for watching!

@@Big8Real just my opinion so be quiet. But nevermind though.
Thanks for report !)
I’m from the UK 🇬🇧. Went to Mestre, Venice for my summer holiday. Very good destination for those who are visiting Venice on a budget.
Facts. And the train ride to Venice is quick and cheap. I hope your holiday was great.
Thank you for the appreciations on my city🌹
@@siyiidtravels thank you for the appreciations on my city💫
@@siyiidtravels it was brilliant 🤩 can’t wait to go again.
L England is poor, miserable, 50% of the wealth is in London, central Italy, northern Italy is rich, southern Italy is like the UK without London.
My pleasure
Booked to stay here and go to a Football/ Soccer game in Venice nice little incite of the town
May be hitting up Golden Arches on way back from the game haha 👊🏽
haha, enjoy.. The McDonalds in Mestre is huge.
This is where I live🍀🍀🍀 I live near Forte Marghera ✨✨👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
That's a great place to live near. I'm glad we took the walk over there, it was nicer than I expected. Can you tell me if there are students living on the Fort?
@@siyiidtravels No, they don't regularly but It can happen in the sunmertime due to special projects linked to Venice Biennal and to La Fenice Theatre 😊💫
@@simonettarocco6410 aaah ok.. Maybe that explains what I saw. Thank you for the response.
@@siyiidtravels you are welcome
Mestre use to be really nice ....use to.
I lived in Marghera for 37 years
I missed your comment 4 months ago, I'm sorry. Yeah Mestre was just ok, not terrible, but ok.
@@siyiidtravels no prob ! 👌
Marghera catching the 53 bus to Venice
We caught the train. $2 per day, per person. I was surprised how cheap it was.
Mestre is a dump but the hotels are cheaper and there is a train station with connections to the airport and Venice proper. The train station has a McDonald’s if you’re too tired and hungry to look for something else.
💯 Yeah some of Mestre is unimpressive, but there were a few things worth seeing, and the convenience + price makes up for it in my opinion. Thanks for the comment.
How was Mestre at night time? Safe to walk around?
I'd say stay close to the shops / restaurants near your hotel at night. These areas are more populated. Mestre looks like it could get sketchy in some areas at night.
In another video (link is below) at the 12 minute mark I comment on some concerns I had about safety in Mestre

@@siyiidtravels Thanks for the tips.. so basically dont go dark and shortcut during night will be fine! great to hear that. i propably wanna rush back hotel before 9pm before all shop closed. grazie mille!
My pleasure, no problem
Italy is rich, if it weren't for southern Italy, central and northern is the most industrial area in Europe after West Germany. UK is only London, it has become a meaningless little island
