The ride to Lido is included within the Venice public transportation service. We used a normal bus pass to go there. We had a 3 day bus pass, which costs 45 euros. To go there, leave San Lucia station and head right to the bus stop 'C', which you see us doing @1:11. I hope this answers your questions, thanks for watching.

Marghera catching the 53 bus to Venice

We caught the train. $2 per day, per person. I was surprised how cheap it was.

I'd say stay close to the shops / restaurants near your hotel at night. These areas are more populated. Mestre looks like it could get sketchy in some areas at night. Can I ask, are you exaggerating at all? Like is the whole Harbor area really too dangerous to visit now? Or have things just gone downhill since? Because I am thinking of visiting later this year and the Harbor is still talked about as being the main tourist area to go to.

yeah, some of it was definitely underwhelming. We just stuck to sightseeing. We had enough fun doing that.

Devin, The crimes of wage theft by employers, price-gouging customers, govt transferring money from 99% of workers to the richest 1%, weapons of war manufactured for profit and lack of investment in infrastructure, healthcare and education are the reasons too many communities are in decline. Let’s vote politicians in office who will invest in people by requiring that corporate employers pay a minimum living wage of $25 per hour and fairly taxing corporations and the richest 1%.

@@Dedette1966 So true and so many don't see these facts and blame the issue on 'crime' (or blaming local criminals for this 'ghost town'); the real crime and cause is what the 0.001% have done/are doing to destroy the lower and middle class wage earners exactly as you stated - those hard working minimum wage earners are what really support this country.

Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the Bridge up close b/c I was pressed for time, and it started raining (there was a long line, as you can guess..). I most certainly enjoyed the Tower though, especially the views!
