The art in SV is more sophisticated than other eras. I have a friend who is a legit artist and I showed him some of the arts from this era and he was blown away that he was looking at Pokemon cards.
Always makes me laugh when people say a set sucks when it hasnt even officially realesed 😂 they start talking about pull rates and chase cards like they can tell the future.As if the pokemon company has no idea what they are doing 😭 keep it coming guys this is comedy 🎭
I mean they haven’t released online yet but it’s in Walmart I’ve already opened packs of surging I bought at Walmart but didn’t get anything only opened like 14packs so can’t say nothing about pull rate really

Latias will be the big chase not Pikachu. Because of the most likely difficult pull rates I am sure Pikachu will hold over $100 after set drop and and Latias will probably rival Grennja and climb over $200. If you can grab Latias at $115 then definitely grab it before it climbs after collectors have a hard time pulling it. The Latios will be the big IR and probably perform like the Eevee from TM.
The pull rates are tough but it’s still a fun set. I came back to Pokémon during crown zenith so seeing the pikachu full art selling for $400-500 raw is pretty crazy but I’m interested to see if it holds a lot of value. I think I’m done buying surging sparks now I bought 4 ETBS and I don’t see that full art pikachu coming anytime.
Stellar crown is going to be about squirtle and bulbasaur next year . I feel like those will end up shooting up in price and be the main chases . Surging sparks I’ve opened 14 packs already only one full art 😩
Anything that's sealed will eventually go up in the future so it's dependent on whether you're patient or not Like with paldea evolved, everyone hated it and said it sucked and no one wanted it but look at it now at $140 per booster box
Not at all! if your hoping for good pull rates, considering the tcg has notoriously bad pull rates I wouldn't spend on it, invest in older sets, though if you play the tcg competitively I would ABSOLUTELY recommend going to prereleases
When I heard surging sparks I got excited, I was thinking of Pikachus, Zapdoss and other cool electricity pokemon and badass art. instead its none of that. Got fruity colorful lame art Pikachus and no other badass pokemon that are electrified with super cool rare arts. Once again Pokemon ruins cards and potential of badassness
I think I got to a point with sv to collect what I like. Obsidian flames is one of my favs bc of the Houndoom and ninetales but a lot of ppl hate that set.
Most pokemon sets get reprinted for 3 years or 5 years. Most special sets like celebrations or 151 should not be reprinted. 151 was over printing from the get go
I think it's hilarious that people treat these like an investment . Just like they do the stock market. Then get surprised that it acts like the stock market. Keep the comedy coming.

As a pikachu collector, I just know these pikachu cards will leave a dent in my wallet. I'm just praying it doesn't hurt too bad

In general people love bad pull rates … look at ES/CE… hard pull rates is one of the keys to defining a good set
