That tip about Instagram not picking up your content is 100% true. It’s definitely happened to me on more than one occasion. Posted a photo that I knew would blow up and it poorly, posted it a second time and it did a little better, posted the same exact photo a third and it went crazy, posted them months apart. You really know what you’re talking about. I’ve had to do this for several photos.

Do you feel like gaining followers from other platforms, in your case RUclips hurt you? Because I made a tiktok post about my instagram post and ever since then i have gain over 40 followers in matter of a few days and ever since this happened suddenly I posted a reel and it got very, very little views. And the only people who liked this reel were people who already follow me. Typically I post a reel and within 15 min it gets good attraction. even if it doesnt go viral I at least hit 700-1500 views easily and its obvious new faces see it and like it. So I am curious if Instagram is punishing me for gaining followers all of a sudden from people who werent shown my page so they must be wondering why I got them. has this ever happened to you?

Hi Jade. I had been on the same amount of followers for about one year. I fell into the but followers trap and I guess that set me back too. Once I realized that I had bought followers I deleted all. That doesn't help.
I then watched your videos - cause I was wanted to give up and delete it. Then I told myself go actually try your advice when it comes to engagement and niche.
I used to be all over the place and I didn't let the algorithm to direct my content I guess it got confused. Now I'm on the right path and it feels easier.
And my engagement and gone up 1.2%😍

I have a question on location tags - these would only be useful if people would actually be looking at those locations right? So back when I lived in London I'm sure there were plenty of people searching for related location tags from a market or sth. (like Columbia Rd Flower Market at the weekend etc.) but now I'm permanently abroad and my clients wouldn't be searching for this location, or anything. And tagging local places I go to, isn't gonna help much either. So ignore? Tag other locations? Use images related to other locations? OR leave it and focus your effort elsewhere?

Grate video, Jade! Thanks for sharing your unshared tip :) I've never actually thought of it but I kind of have used it in a similar way. When I see a post that is doing better than the others, I go and create different versions of it. This has been my engagement and creativity hack lately. The results are almost always predictable :) And one more thing for the people who don't feel like shooting reels, Canva has reels templates, and videos are really easy to create. 2 weeks ago I made more than 30 reels in a day for a fan page where I don't show my face. So it's a great way to leverage the power of reels :)
what if you don't like long captions or using hashtags? I want my Instagram to look clean if yk what I mean.
You can still use keywords in short captions and hide your hashtags in your comments!
