  • Took a break from the stifling east Bay heat to ride at Fassler HIll @ Pacifica. The trails here are not as famous than the ones over yonder on San Pedro mountain but they are fun nonetheless. Conditions were dry and dusty but the trails were just steep and challenging enough for me to gain confidence on them without feeling overwhelmed.

nice! i built the motocross track up there on fassler before they started and then stopped the development. if you go up behind the house that was built There is still the remnants of a natural step up jump with a big roller after it going up the hill. basically if you were to go all the way to the top towards the big water tanks. And go past that jump and go up the hill right before you meet the next gravel road off of fassler. you'll see the trail has a break to the right and goes down a steep hill. it's it's rad. actually, I don't know how overgrown it is now, but I know it was gnarly as hell to cut in with the dozer, it's a cascading section of rollers. up and over to the right then up and over to the left then up and over to the right once more and into a big old berm at the bottom of that hill that would catch you. I imagine that's all still there. the broom was beefy like really beefy and if you follow that trail you'll go through a bit of a dip and then up and over to the left down a split corner. there's another big berm down at the end of that next straight away after some rollers and then an obstacle. I call the washing machine. it is basically like an off camber 90 degree left going down..then 180 back up and 90* out.. But when you come out of it, you're basically back on that guy's property who built that house there. so be careful riding that or at least talk to the dude. first. It was originally built for dirt bikes. and truth be told it was and a legal build for someone that was associated with the property. I only had one good whack at it for one night in the dark with a proper dozer. guess the water department got all bent out of shape because the track went kind of close to one of the pipe lines that come off those water tanks. It was clearly marked and I seen them and I didn't dig down anywhere around them at. But apparently they're looking for me to arrest me at one point because of the build LOL. that's my claim to fame at fassler LOL

In fact, you guys were right above that cascading section when you were hitting those jumps there by the water tanks. it is off to the right along the ridge next to the road. basically you go down that way about 100 ft from where you guys were and you'll see it drop off to the left. shoot me a message. I'll show you on the map if you want. if you're ever going back up there, I have yet to ride it on a mountain bike. I've recently gotten into mountain biking riding around on my specialized Enduro. I might actually go up there tomorrow and give it a ride!

@@MacRogersrealestatebroker glad to be back. I was out with a bad fracture in my hand. Non-mtb related so no cool story either 😆

@@fightclubMTB Glad to hear that. I did see that you mentioned about the hand fracture on your other video.
