I have the series s and the series x. They are both amazing consoles. The series s is amazing for the price and size. A cheap, small little beast. At this point in time it handles all the games available and they look amazing. Not 4k but definitely a noticeable upgrade from the Xbox one. Now the series x…. It’s a beast. Better performance and graphics quality than any other console right now. Playing games on my 4k tv really blows my mind sometimes how amazing they look. Both are great consoles
Do you think there is a very noticeable difference in 1080p gaming between series s and x (in terms of fps/quality)
@@mrpanther44 the series S usually does 1440p and can do 4k in some circumstances. So yes it’s a lot better than 1080p. the series X is 4k almost all the time even on the most demanding games. If you have a 4k tv the difference is noticeable yes, but for the price of a series S you can’t get a better value.
@@mrpanther44 if you’re running both on 1080p then no, the performance is pretty good on both. The series X can do 120 fps where as the series S can only do 60 in most cases

I bought the Series S during the holidays because it was $239 USD. For that price point, I have zero complaints. MW2 and Warzone run smoothly and look perfect. The console itself performs amazingly for how small it is (which is good because I can take it with me when I travel). I wish we had more storage but at this price I understand. 9/10 console for me and I am so happy I bought it.

Great video only complaint is that for the video clips for the x/s 120fps you just ran around and for the ps5 you where in the chopper the whole time which is gonna cause frame dropping wish you would have had the same sort of gameplay for all the consoles.

I will say that I think the PS5 wasn’t given a fair comparison on 120hz compared to the XSX. While vehicles are very gameplay demanding, helicopters are much more so than a car.
*I noticed that there’s water in the background for PS5. Some old PC testing I did showed that water resulted in performance dips. Could be same issue. Cause my PS5 runs perfect in other environments.

Well i have both and there are no dips on Series X when i ride helicopters. While on Ps5 i get noticeable frame drops even render distances are awful.

@@fjzia5384 For my experience, I love it, the console is powerful, loads a menu in no time, the quality is amazing, the only main difference would be that your game will be in 1080p to 1440p instead of 4K for the Xbox X and the storage can be very short if you play a lot of games at the same time... which is not my case, so if 4K and storage isn't an issue for you, I'd say go for it and you won't regret it

It's a memory issue in this circumstance. I loaded into that exact area and the painting looks nowhere near that bad. Warzone is a buggy mess atm when it comes to textures.

very very good question... SX has 565 gb/s fill rate... ill say again 565 gb/second not 420-440 ps5... 565.... so even though graphics are not heavily used on Emulation.. it helps overall, since cpu and gpu share the gpu memory... it matters slightly.... slightly..... basically it will not be the difference as per usual on X vs S (12.5 teraflops ~4ghz) vs (~4.5 teraflops ~3.7 ghz) since CPU is dominating for emulation it will be MUCH CLOSER than with regular gaming.. it will be like you are running a Series X with 10-15 percent only downgrade performance... its awesome on Series S and Series X emulation 4k. basically at SX I can go (7x resolution to 9x resolution+). on SS I can go ( 6x resolution to 7, 8 x resolution, some 9x resolution as well). Enjoy :D

Purchased my series s for $131. I wanted the Xbox series x due to resolution but I play on a monitor 2k resolution and 145 hz so series doesn't make sense for me. I don't think I'll need the expansion card so won't be regretting getting the series x.

I am curious about the draw distance of enemy players. I do long-range sniping in DMZ, at a certain distance players drop out of view. Go outside the draw distance, Do the higher-end gaming rigs have a longer draw distance, I am on Xbox One, If I play on the series X will the enemy or even AI players be visible at a longer distance and not be made invisible?

Performance Mode does absolutely nothing. It just set's the game mode in a game to the performance mode automaticaly. And this test here is shit because the PS5 is better than the Series X in the 120fps mode. Watch the new Digital Foundry video👍

@@geocruz7267 on the pc u need more power for 1440p. So maybe the ps5 can generate more fps in 1080p. So the main question is in which resolution is the ps5 rendering for 120hz. If he render it always 1080p it doesn't matter, but if he render it with 1440p, you should get less fps with 1440p.

Did you have HDR on? my ps5 looks like dog crap vs my PC at 1440p LG 144hz now my tv is a sony a80k one of the best tv and it does not look good at all on the PS what settings are you using? I turn off hdr it makes my games look so bad and washed out for some reason.

Bro… I’ve been a PC user for the last 3 years on a 3080 and 2070 super. If there is one thing I learned from ALWAYS seeing my exact framerate and obsessing over it- it’s that the frames will stutter in ALL games when you go above an open world map in a vehicle. The fact that you didn’t show series X gameplay in a helicopter to show it drop to 90hz as well is just COMICAL.

I have the rx 6900 xt and my frames are getting higher in a vehicule, same thing on my old rx 5700 xt. Those consoles are powered by amd so it won't be any different
my fps in warzone 2 hit 180 to 200 fps no drops even in a helicopter
I would go for the series S if it werent for all the disks I own, so unfortunately when I upgrade from my one S I'll have to spend an extra $200 for a disk drive but eh the performance might make it worth 🗿

Even the Xbox One S does at minimum 720p and averages 900p to 1080p. Series S stays at 1080p and in some games is capable of 1440p 🗿🗿🗿. The only time it goes below 1080p that I can think of is in Rocket League when set to performance mode because that game isn't well optimized due to its physics engine 🗿

@@JM-qn3tf Warzone isn't a very good way to compare frame rate. It's optimisation is insane, since it runs at 60fps on Xbox One and PS4. The Series S mostly runs games at a constant 30fps.

Owned a xbox series x for awhile and just bought the ps5 couple days ago, and I must say they are both amazing consoles and graphics look the same and FANTASTIC
they don't really look the same here... we can say "slightly close" but look for yourself.. its much blurrier... I will say it looks next gen almost on ps5... but it looks NEXT GEN on xbox series x no ARGUMENTS can be made... AND 120 fps nearly LOCKED versus 89-99 to 100 frames or even 80.00 frames versus 119-120 fps.. OKAY I thought war zone was huge for people... better play it on the next gen console with most power. enjoy all your consoles man :D

series s is arguably the most compact console ever made, and a big ass disc drive would have fucked up it's entire design and made the console about 20% bigger.

this also depends on the graphic settings. You can get a more solid 120 with lower graphic settings

Bro, se me hace un poco raro que nadie vea que el tipo quiere hacer quedar mal a la Play, en una comparacion de grafica o framerate, especialmente de framerate se tiene que mostrar el mismo contenido en ambas, y en Ps5 muestra contenido que exige mas para hacerla ver inferior, el video de Digital Foundry y Elanalistadebits te muestran que en realidad Ps5 mantiene un mejor framerate en el juego y no, eso de que Sony se enfoca mas en colores y eso nada que ver, en ambas se ve igual el juego

@@profebravomusicaoficial4151 No hay mas enfoque en nada de lo visual, la verdad se me hace extraño que el juego corra un poco mejor en Ps5 si la SX es mas potente, algunos dicen que puede que a veces se les facilite optimizar mas en una que en otra o otros que Sony paga para que eso pase, si es que sea verdad que una se enfoca en algo creo que Sony se enfoca mas en rendimiento, por ejemplo Doom Eternal corre a una resolucion inferior que SX para mantener los 120fps mas estables
You should have done a chopper fight in the Xbox series X 120hz test too. It’s more graphically demanding. In fact Digital Foundry has the PS5 ahead of the Xbox series X in the 120hz frame rate. I definitely trust their tests over anyone else’s.

I have an xbox series x and have an acer nitro monitor which has a max of 165hz. I have my xbox set to 1080p 120hz and in the warzone 2 settings I have it set to 120hz but my FPS is capping at 60hz. I also use the standard xbox series x hmdi 2.1 cable. Am I doing something wrong? Would love to know how to change it.
Give me the exact model and i will check it out for you because some monitors cant produce 120fps over HDMI cable.

@@meechieflow_ They look the same. Also PS5 was having less FPS becauase the player was flying an helicopter while getting shot at and explosions going off. That will lower the FPS of any machine. On xbox he was driving a car in an empty road with nothing going on. No shit it stayed more stable. I still see no reason to buy an Xbox apart from getting older games for cheaper on gamepass. PS has games Xbox dreams of having. Xbox is also cheaper overall but thats it.
