OMG It reminded me of Asuka and Ryu in the final episode of Dyna, where they hugged each other in the Clarkov NF-3000 spaceship, and not until 10 minutes later they returned to the group, looking very happy as if they just have had some "fun" The friendship-->love between Asuka and Ryu was so real, based on so many mutual understanding. But this time in Decker... what I got is Bromance... lol
Asuka never had a chance to form a bond with Daigo: just Tiga, who by then was operating under his own agency (since he and Daigo are shown to be different people). A lot of people felt that they should have had more interaction, but it just didn't work out. All we got was a movie of them with Gamu (aka Gaia) as childhood friends in an alternate universe where all three of them lived together. We're not even sure how Daigo knew Asuka would be his successor. The scene between Kengo and Asumi is the old Tiga-Dyna fans dream come true.
Tiga & Decker also have a same ending, they lost their morpher. Meanwhile Dyna and Trigger left their companions at the end of series (Dyna got into blackhole and Trigger fused with Eternity Core)

He still cares for her. Maybe not romantically (I never got the vibes from him), but he clearly never sought her death. Even in their final battle, he was sad to lose her, especially when she realized that the Light wasn't what drew him away from her and would have accepted her too if she bothered to look at it. But he had the sense she at least found peace after tormenting herself for so long. Now her torment isn't even her own.

This is the episode that really sold it to me the major difference I know about Tiga and Trigger is...Mars really is Trigger's home, not Earth. His human side, Kengo, grew up there. Tiga spent more time on Earth, becoming one with its people, allowing Daigo to be born there. Trigger never had a chance to have a human family of his own like Tiga did. Trigger is willing to protect Earth, even die for it, but in the end of the day, he's from a different planet and it clearly hurts him to leave it vulnerable to the Spheres without him even with his friends defending it. He took what made Dyna different from Tiga, being Mars-born, while Decker became Earth-born like Tiga/Daigo. It's not a bad thing: it just shows that he and Tiga really are different people despite being of similar worlds and origins. In this world, Decker is *the* Light of the People of Earth, while Trigger is the proof of one's ability to *become* the Light.
I understand, we can say Decker and Trigger reminded us of Dyna and Tiga, but Asumi and Kengo... They have nothing similar with Asuka and Daigo..especially Kengo...
