Codename S.T.E.A.M is a turn based strategy game just like the upcoming Mario+Rabbids Kingdom Battle, and you also get to play as figures from 19th-20th century Literature and Folk lore. Figures such as Henry Fleming from "The Red Badge of Courage", Dorathy from "The Wizard of Oz", and Tiger Lily from "Peter Pan" just to name a few. It's also Amiibo compatible with select Fire Emblem characters who will also aid you in the fight while not interfering with the games story. Its gotten bashed for being very hard and thats often why its forgotten.

I think that with 1,2 million copies sold ARMS is doing great
But not as great as Splatoon, so it will always be in its shadow.
I'm not sure people realize that sales figure is from last quarter, which went through May. So Arms sold that much in just two weeks. Very impressive indeed.

I didn't think much of it at first (from the demo), but the game's cheap so I picked it up.
It's actually more fun than I thought. Pretty difficult on some of those initial stages, but I like the challenge.
The Fire Emblem amiibo probably nerf the difficulty a bit, but they're fun cameos

One of the newest Nintendo IP franchises are named Splatoon and ARMS were related in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, which Inkling appears as an unlockable character (which Samus after completing a classic mode to unlock Inkling, their Splatoon 2 design also appears as a costume for Mii Gunner.), and Spring Man also appears as an Assist Trophy (this also includes his Mii costume for Mii Brawler and his own primary spirit.); it is most likely due to a lack of time to develop this game to involve characters from ARMS and Xenoblade Chronicles 2 as a playable characters, and all of the collectible trophies from the previous games were also replaced by Spirits, too.

I really enjoy Splatoon but it's really easy to have an annoying time with it if you're completely mismatched and have a horrible team. I don't get that problem with Arms and I just find it slightly more fun
