One of the few skateboarders i've seen in my life that can make hard tricks look stylish instead of just "barely landed". Takes a lot of strength, balance and coordination to do that. And to actually care for style. We need more of that!
More RAW FILES PLEASE!!!! Just seems more real with out the music..hearing the wheels tearing over rough ground, sound of the bolts landings and grinding metal...aaaaaah thats music to my ears! K Walks rips! Legit SOTY
The back smith at 6:20 is insane! The rail is so damn steep and tall, not to mention the number of things that can go wrong there is just nutty. I didn't stop skating all that long ago, but since I did things have gotten to video game levels pretty quick.
Eric Duminil A few reasons, but mainly my ankles just gave up. It's too bad really because the rest of my body was rock solid. Not much holding them together other than the skin around them ;) Also life get's in the way, and I started a business. I still get out there but I'm definitely not progressing. You still pushing the ol' board around?
I don't feel good if I stop riding for more than a few days. I need skateboarding for my personal balance! It really doesn't need to be a big session at the skatepark, but I must at least cruise and carve a bit regularly. With family and work, it isn't always easy, but I ride everyday to work, and I try to do a mini-ramp and bowl session every week. Old school disciplines aren't too hard on ankles/knees/back, and I hope to keep riding for a long time. Slalom/long distance pumping/carving/downhill/freeride aren't the most popular disciplines on Thrasher, but they're lots of fun, and I really feel alive doing them.
Eric Duminil Haha, yah I guess so. Hard to take the tech out of a guy though. lol. I always end up pushing myself. That is great that it's a bit of a therapy for you. I definitely know that feeling. I have new passions now, but will never be able to look at a handrail or curb cut without imagining what I could do with it. Lol. Roll forever brother.
Knew kwalks one SOTY and wondered why it didn't go to Evan or Figgy or even Shane but i had never seen a single clip of him til right now and I get it, He deserved it 110% with that style and consistency. this is awesome to watch and the raw videos are way better than actual parts now days.
I just started getting into skating at my local park and I'm bad, bad, bad at it - but it's so much fun. I loved watching this video and the energy and the successes - great stuff!!!
I can't believe that 4:20 didnt even make the video. That switch hill bomb was fucking GNARLY. (And yea i know other people have bombed it switch as well)
no offense to the last couple of SOTY's but Kyle's title came with mind blowing, ground breaking skating that is undeniable compared to recent winners in my opinion.
I am constantly amazed at where skateboarding has gone. It's unbelievable, almost. I say almost because every year you could witness it progress but never knew exactly what would happen next. I remember when late 90s titles like Zero-Misled Youth and Toy Machine - Jump Off a Building and various others were the LIMIT. That was thought to be IT, and could not be beat. But this wave of super men skateboarders, and even boys, followed viciously with incredible speeds and heights. It's been invaluable to me to witness over the past 20 years and I will always adore the skateboarding phenomenon and all its ever persisting passion and innovation.
Not guna bs, i started in 83, left off full time at 19, just came back several years ago, so I filling in the gaps, never heard much about this dude, but damn hes ripping, good to see a whole new breed of kids just going balzout, gives me hope
Got damn what a great part🙌 3:25 was a good scoop on the 360 flip and man at 4:24 how did u even ride that out👀😨🙈... Front lip at 5:00 was so gnarly lol how u held that shyt all the way through😱🙈 this was very entertaining.
this part is so sick, but the best part of the video is that he always looks at the camera. i swear he was looking at the camera when he landed one of his trick. unreal
@Grant_ he says in an interview that it took him 4 days because he was getting kicked out (he tried for 1h30 the 1st day, 1h the 2nd, 2h the 3rd and day 4 he landed it 5th try)
Unbelievable. Wish every trick was in here. Would have loved to see the tries for that fs flip where he says "that's what I wanted" after. Obviously hoping for a my war on the ender too.

He is my favourite I think. Complete skater and aerial and he can make slides like you would do in a video game
More RAW FILES PLEASE!!!! Just seems more real with out the music..hearing the wheels tearing over rough ground, sound of the bolts landings and grinding metal...aaaaaah thats music to my ears! K Walks rips! Legit SOTY

Just curious, why did you stop skating?

Simnett Nutrition Personally, I would have done it dark side.

The catch was so beautiful on that last clip
He must have magnets in his shoes.
Eric Duminil he must have magnets on his board. His feet are made of steel.
That spot is like 5 mins from my house😩🔥
Damn, he literally rips, my friends wonder why he won skater of the year so i just show them this video. Pure gnar-shredding.
I just started getting into skating at my local park and I'm bad, bad, bad at it - but it's so much fun. I loved watching this video and the energy and the successes - great stuff!!!

no offense to the last couple of SOTY's but Kyle's title came with mind blowing, ground breaking skating that is undeniable compared to recent winners in my opinion.

Please tell me Thrasher is saving the raw footage of his 50-50 for a My War. It would make my Christmas 😍
Nah that was first try
sorry you cant do my wars for first try tricks 😂
I was waiting it all the time
Evan Johnson nuge has the hill bomb he did first try. Should have been a magnified
Jett Chebry seriously
kyle walker is the james franco of skateboarding
*Dave Franco
I watched this video and saw this comment before bed then had a dream James Franco died, so I'm pretty sure that was your fault
Kyle Walker abuses women sexually ?
Wtf does that even mean?
John B
Cleared the fuck out of that grass gap for the banger 😁
Kyle is now my new favourite skater HANDS DOWN
In every crew there's always that one guy who screams "YIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEHHHHHHH" when someone in the crew landed an insane trick. Haha.
Not guna bs, i started in 83, left off full time at 19, just came back several years ago, so I filling in the gaps, never heard much about this dude, but damn hes ripping, good to see a whole new breed of kids just going balzout, gives me hope
This guy is fearless!! INSANE!!!!!!
The drop board one push lip slide is accurately portrayed in the raw. Hectic. Same as the flip nose manual down 10. Bravo Kwalks
Best vans video ever
Came back to watch this gem
The recovery on that speed wobble
This video always gets me hyped to skate
That kickflip at 7:54 was too sick!
let's see the ELIJAH BERLE raw files
Got damn what a great part🙌 3:25 was a good scoop on the 360 flip and man at 4:24 how did u even ride that out👀😨🙈... Front lip at 5:00 was so gnarly lol how u held that shyt all the way through😱🙈 this was very entertaining.
That ladt kicker is insane, the kick is so good, i feel like someone with enough time in his hands could pretty much do ANYTHING on that
I actually met Kyle in Baltimore and he’s a super nice guy
hes on a whole other level god damn
Can't get over this sick part!
this part is so sick, but the best part of the video is that he always looks at the camera. i swear he was looking at the camera when he landed one of his trick. unreal
This guy is a video game out here doing crazy shit so effortlessly
This guy is incredible. Those switch bombs are insane.

Why so much hate that's just rude ahhaa?
@@TheGamer12378 they gotta hate. If they don't then they'll be made fun of. It's low self esteem.
that tailslide to fakie switch down the hill was insanity!!!
The 34 people who disliked just wish they were as good as Kyle, dude is a god damn monster
Dude, so much skill, it's amazing!
Simply genius, pure talent
They better make one for Elijah cause he killed it too
So we can just assume that ender was first try?
Everything was first try apparently.
im new to skating, what is an ender?
@Grant_ he says in an interview that it took him 4 days because he was getting kicked out (he tried for 1h30 the 1st day, 1h the 2nd, 2h the 3rd and day 4 he landed it 5th try)
@Saint Emory an ender is the last clip of a part or a video, usually it's the gnarliest/most insane
The possibilities with skateboarding literally are limitless.
The other angle on the tre flip does the clip so much more justice than the one used in his actual part
5:24 it's the same with that clip too
6:55
Could watch this dude skate all day.
at 6:54 love that angle of the front 180 really shows how much he had to gap out
Sick video guys! Keep up the good work
my new favorite pro skater!!!!
Probably my fave skater, everything he does is so rugged. Always skates full speed and just fuckin puts the hammers down
Damn all these spots were gnarly as shit and he books it every time
I love how stoked he gets after a trick!
i could watch him all day
Walker takes spills better than any skater I have seen. 🖖☘🌈
@ 8:40 was that the spot Westgate tre flipped on bsides?
That last gap is like a mega ramp made of concrete fucking gnarly
00:53 "that half cab flip was booty" 😂😂
It sounded like he said boof but same shit😂
This is incredible
This is the best shit I've ever seen! Dude flexin for 9 mins plus!
that last gap looks like the funnest thing ever
Nasty Nas gnarliest??
Mind blown 🤯🙌
Love the high speed big gaps 👌👌
Big ups, this is a bad ass vid
He has the smoothest grinds goddamn.
im not saying this because they cut some of his fail attempts, but i honestly think this kid gets tricks in like 1-3 tries
everything you could ask for in two separate kickflip enders. what a beaut
What’s the spot at 7:25?
dang ole good stuff man
I wanna go back to skateboarding now.
skate gods may you forever bless his ankles and and an and...and always keep his spirit free.
Anyone who disliked this most likely pushes mongo on a wrong board. EFFIN' KOOKS!!!!!
god I love this video
Well deserved soty 2016
how is he so fucking good and so fearless?!?!?
Jesus Christ that Tailslide Fakie to hill bomb was amazing. Why wasn't it in his actual part?
Video Parts have become so sick that you need to make a documentary about them to fully appreciate.
This was insane !
8:18 onwards this shot looks so fun
holy shit that's absolutely amazing
Has this guy done a Kyle Skywalker graphic?
Those kickflips are arousing my dude.
Unbelievable. Wish every trick was in here. Would have loved to see the tries for that fs flip where he says "that's what I wanted" after. Obviously hoping for a my war on the ender too.
Truly an inspiration!
Am I the only one who thinks he looks like that kid from the show gold Rush? Doesn't matter, that kickflip of that balcony was fucking gigantic.
Fucking insane no other way to put it
what's the Vans palm tree t-shirt he wears? I can't find it anywhere?
5:24 the little look after he sticks it made me laugh my ass off
4:25 first time Ive seen someone escape a speed wobble
