Stephane Wrembel Live from The Jazz Gallery presented by WBGO

Stéphane Wrembel was born in Paris, raised in Fontainebleau, the home of French Impressionism and guitar legend Django Reinhardt.
It’s the perfect dual influence that Stéphane embraces, taking the Romani master’s creativity and pushing it forward. His six recordings under the “Django Experiment” banner are thrilling displays of Reinhardt originals and his own spirited swing and gorgeous ballads.
Wrembel and his band take up camp in a special feel-good performance at The Jazz Gallery in New York. Watch the concert, hosted by Lezlie Harrison.

What a delight to find this recreation of the unique sound of guitar and violin (among other accompanists).
I've admired their unique combination which I rarely hear being played live anymore. Thanks for this great show!
