- "American Horror Stories" is a spin-off of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk's award-winning anthology series "American Horror Story." The weekly anthology series features a different horror story in each episode. Since 2011, the creators of the series have redefined the horror genre with various installments featuring a creepy asylum, a coven of witches, a traveling freak show, a haunted hotel and the apocalypse itself. The television series sprouted a legion of dedicated fans who anticipate what terrors the next chapter will hold.
This video lists off my least to best from all the 11 seasons.
Omg! Finally someone who loves Roanoke too! I think is the scariest and goriest season and with the best cast!

I honestly don’t know how to rank NYC. It was such a strange season, it felt like one of those weird dreams that can be deeply meaningful or totally meaningless. It really left me speechless. I kinda hate it and love it.

ASYLUM, ROANOKE, COVEN are my trinity i adore those seasons MURDER HOUSE, APPCALYPSE and FREAK SHOW are pretty good too the rest im indifferent on ....1984 and NYC were just awful though

Roanoke was pure horror and scares and I loved it. More of what I wanted this series to be. It’s not my favorite cause the ending was stale but it’s up there for sure. The butcher might be my favorite villain.
I’m happy to see Roanoke finally get the recognition it deserves! It’s not my number one but it’s definitely my top 3! It’s so underrated but so good!

(A season that has been terribly underrated by most of the fandom and that has reflected a lot of ignorance about the subject it deals with, as well as homophobia and internalized homophobia in the viewer)

(The fact that I love it doesn't excuse me from thinking that I would have enjoyed both stories better as two long, independent seasons of 10 episodes. The streaming era has hurt AHS because the short format doesn't suit it.)

(I love slashers and enjoyed it a lot, but I have a thorn in my side because this season has the biggest plot hole of the series with the presence of Richard Ramirez immortal and eternally young, unlike the one who appears in Hotel. In fact, this season was going to have 10 episodes and they shortened the ending for some reason. I can deduce that originally there was going to be some twist in homage to Scream 2, which would be very logical in this season)

(The fanservice season that had the bad luck of being filmed in California despite the fact that 60% of its story is a flashback set in New Orleans. The interiors of the Coven house that they recreated were very bad. Even so, it is a very funny season with very careful connections. I would have liked to see more scenes of the apocalyptic world and destruction).

pretty awesome that you where able to transparent with asylum it did have the best storyline but it wasnt your favorite. I feel the same way about it but i put it in the 2 spot. Only reason it wasnt number 1 for me was because the alien stuff just didnt fit into the show well.

AHS is better when it takes itself seriously, although NYC is probably the worst season, but they did take themselves seriously with Murder House, Asylum, Cult which are all great seasons. When AHS gets too campy it just gets bad, like with 1984 ...

I always think about Double Feature as two different seasons just bc I don't think it's fair that one of the best seasons the show ever had (Red Tide) gets draggeddown by probably the worst season of the show (Death Valley).
