Miami Partners Launch Groundbreaking Zero Drowning Initiative for Children (FREE Swim Lessons!)

- We're proud to announce the launch of the Zero Drowning Initiative, a comprehensive water safety program aimed at reducing childhood drownings in Miami-Dade County.
𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗚𝗥𝗔𝗠 𝗛𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗟𝗜𝗚𝗛𝗧𝗦
🏊 𝙁𝙧𝙚𝙚 𝙎𝙬𝙞𝙢 𝙇𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙤𝙣𝙨: This initiative provides free, American Red Cross-certified swim lessons to targeted cohorts of four and five-year-old children.
🏊 𝘼𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨𝙞𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮: The program focuses on children enrolled in Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS) kindergarten classes, The Children's Trust-funded Thrive by 5 private child care centers in high-poverty neighborhoods, and the County's Head Start program.
🏊 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙫𝙚𝙣𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚: Lessons will be conducted during the school day at participating public or private water safety swim provider locations, with transportation provided for participating schools.
🏊 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙧𝙚𝙝𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙫𝙚 𝘼𝙥𝙥𝙧𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝: In addition to swim lessons, the program will incorporate water safety curriculum and a digital water safety course for families.
🏊 𝙎𝙪𝙨𝙩𝙖𝙞𝙣𝙖𝙗𝙞𝙡𝙞𝙩𝙮: The Zero Drowning Initiative is designed for long-term impact, with a goal of reaching 20,000 children annually.
