After watching numerous interviews of Henry Winkler over the decades since he first burst on the scene on Happy Days, it's clear to me that not only did he create an unforgettable character in The Fonz, but he is also a genuinely nice person. This is one celebrity that I would love to meet one day.
I really enjoy it whenever he randomly brings out the Fonzie voice/persona in interviews. The show ended decades ago but he still does it so effortlessly! He’s so down to earth and thoughtful. Love this guy!
I was 6 when my dad passed away. This man filled that void in my life. The Fonz was a super hero and I looked forward to watching him every week including reruns! I learned so much about life as a child watching Happy Days. Glad he is still alive and well
I was that embarrassed kid. I still fight my dyslexia. Everything he touched on is exactly how I felt/feel. What a great gift He's given kids. He's even cooler now! 👍🏼
I saw him once at the theater. He was in the audience. Lots of people recognized him and said hello. He remained gracious and smiled at everyone. Quite the gentleman. It has got to be exhausting even though the feedback is so positive.
I dont think if i ever met a celeberty I would ever freak out, they are people just like you and I. BUTTTT, If i would ever meet this man I would scream like a little girl!!! lol. I dearly love Henry Winkler. The most amazing icon to ever lived in my opinion. And seems like the nicest man. HE IS AMAZING!!!
He unlike so many celebrities today, seems extremely nice and very humble and he doesn't back away from the character that made him so famous. And I love i when he randomly does his Fonzie voice.
Great actor and truely great person. I used to watch happy days as a kid and a teenager. I always wondered what happened to Winkler until I saw him on a few shows later in life. Good actors should not be type casted.
I firmly believe that if I was to ever meet Henry Winkler in my travels, he would simply act like another person I have met in my life but I would be star struck and speechless.
I met Mr Winkler a fee weeks ago at a sports memorabilia store in arizona. He's super nice and so is his wife. I still enjoy watching his tv and movies. He's awesome.
God love Henry Winkler! He was my hero growing, and like him I have dyslexia too. Practice reading all the time and times table. I am 52 yrs old and still have to practice, like the Fonz, never give up.
I think he’s what made “Click” so much more emotional. He was pretty much playing himself and it was painful to see such a kind man being treated like dirt. Don’t tell me nobody else sobs like a baby during the “I love you son” scene.
Thanks for sharing tis video about the Fonz. I watched this show every week from the beginning and I loved every episode. It was the kind of show that was decent and funny all together. Henry still today looks great. God bless you Henry, always. 😇 ☺
So great that his career just keeps going and going. The smiles on the fans' faces kinda say it all....everyone just wants to see him continue to do well. The interviewer was low key and not annoying....well done.
I would love to see some sort of sequel/update film or episode of Happy Days, with Henry and Ron reprising their roles, to see what the Fonz and Richie did decades later. Even just a few scenes on RUclips would be great.
I loved him in Night Shift. I had a Fonzie shirt in high school. And then to see him just crush it on Parks and Rec, Arrested Development and Barry. What a legend. He should have about 10 Emmys … More importantly, he is obviously a great human being. I love him so much
I'm too young to know him as Fonzie, but I have come to love him in Barry. He brings so much personality and variety to the character of Mr. Cousineau. Seems like he's a great dude to boot!
One of my favorite characters of Henry is Dr. Stewart Barnes from a short running sitcom called Out of Practice. It also starred Stockard Channing, Paula Marshall, Christopher Gorham and Ty Burrell. It is hilarious!!! Mostly between Stockard and Henry. It's on RUclips. I can't believe it wasn't picked up for a second season.
I was abused and neglected as a child and I would watch Happy Days and see the Fonz and think I'm gonna get the Fonz to come save me. The character gave me hope in a dark place and time in my life.
I am such a Henry Winkler fan!!! My favorites are of course "Happy Days" but when it comes to his movies I love "Night Shift", "The Water Boy" and the made for tv movie "The One And Only":)!
He once said in an interview that he got the idea for his Fonzie voice from Sly Stallone who was a friend of his. Its hard to believe with his real voice that he could be so different and mild mannered. I used to think the Fonzie voice was his real voice. There was an episode on Happy Days where he used his real voice acting like a nerd.
AWESOME! Some of my deepest childhood memories were of Happy Days and the Fonz. As a young kid I had a tee shirt that said "AYEEEEEE" with the Fonz on it.
A true human being! Not many like him in Hollywierd anymore. Can you imagine him winning an award and at the podium rip into a political tirade? Didnt think so....hes a class act!!!
In spite of the fact that virtually all of the people who demonize the people who work in "Hollywood" have never even met, much less know, any of these people they trash in the industry that I've worked in for more than thirty years, I have met countless kind, gracious, and genuine power players in all these years. That said, Henry Winkler is probably the kindness and most gracious of all of them.
I use to be a member of the fonz cool club of great Briton when I was a kid. I use to have a fonz Action figure as a kid. Good times Loved the show. The fonz was my TV Hero when I was young.
ABC news should focus on subjects like this, that people find interesting. That, and just a straight up news delivery without all the commentary. Then, they would definitely win a strong audience.
73, I’ve got some catching up to do, 10/2/20 will be 64, noticed how short he was at 5ft 6”, at least I’m much taller, Henry put on a lot of weight, and will always “The Fonze”.
Short Jewish kid becomes heartthrob and spends the rest of his career being nice to everyone, writing children's books and taking on unique roles? Yeah, Henry Winkler is, without a doubt, the coolest guy Hollywood has ever seen.
After watching numerous interviews of Henry Winkler over the decades since he first burst on the scene on Happy Days, it's clear to me that not only did he create an unforgettable character in The Fonz, but he is also a genuinely nice person. This is one celebrity that I would love to meet one day.
I wanted to be the Fonze when i grew up...50 yrs later and i still do
As did Iol hey!
damn, that hit
Being the Fonze would be cool but being Henry would be better
Heeeyyyy woooo
I really enjoy it whenever he randomly brings out the Fonzie voice/persona in interviews. The show ended decades ago but he still does it so effortlessly! He’s so down to earth and thoughtful. Love this guy!
I was 6 when my dad passed away. This man filled that void in my life. The Fonz was a super hero and I looked forward to watching him every week including reruns! I learned so much about life as a child watching Happy Days. Glad he is still alive and well
I love him to! Henry Winkler's character "The Fonz" resonated with so many people. Fonzie was a tough guy with a big heart. He was a Superhero!
That is so powerful! Characters like the Fonz and shows like this one are so much more than just art.
I was that embarrassed kid. I still fight my dyslexia. Everything he touched on is exactly how I felt/feel. What a great gift He's given kids.
He's even cooler now! 👍🏼
Such a wonderful human being. 👍🏽👍🏽😎
I saw him once at the theater. He was in the audience. Lots of people recognized him and said hello. He remained gracious and smiled at everyone. Quite the gentleman. It has got to be exhausting even though the feedback is so positive.
Henry is a living national treasure.
I got misty eyed watching. beautiful human being
I dont think if i ever met a celeberty I would ever freak out, they are people just like you and I. BUTTTT, If i would ever meet this man I would scream like a little girl!!! lol. I dearly love Henry Winkler. The most amazing icon to ever lived in my opinion. And seems like the nicest man. HE IS AMAZING!!!
What a national treasure. We need to protect him at all costs.
Henry is such a sweet and kind man. I wish I had him as my grandpa.
He unlike so many celebrities today, seems extremely nice and very humble and he doesn't back away from the character that made him so famous. And I love i when he randomly does his Fonzie voice.
Mr Winkler you are awesome ❤️
Wow, what an inspiring guy! I always enjoy all the characters he plays.
Henry Winkler...still a class act. Truly a TV icon. Overcame a learning disability to be one of the TV greats of all time.
What an amazing man. I could listen to him talk all day..
Great actor and truely great person. I used to watch happy days as a kid and a teenager. I always wondered what happened to Winkler until I saw him on a few shows later in life. Good actors should not be type casted.
I loved watching Happy Days too. Awesome 👏🏼 sitcoms!!!!
When he teared up while reading that really hit me, wow
One of my favorite shows was Happy Days.
I firmly believe that if I was to ever meet Henry Winkler in my travels, he would simply act like another person I have met in my life but I would be star struck and speechless.
Henry is a great guy. Watched so many interviews. You can see fame did not change him. He used fame to bring knowledge to dyslexia.
Amen 🙏
I met Mr Winkler a fee weeks ago at a sports memorabilia store in arizona. He's super nice and so is his wife. I still enjoy watching his tv and movies. He's awesome.
He literally seems like he would just be like your really awesome grandfather seems like such a good genuine guy. Oh yeah he kills it on Barry
AYYYYYYYYYYY! The FONZ ! He’s aged so well ! He seems like such a nice genuine man ! Love Henry Winkler
i was there in the 70s yes he was a big star,,i used to have stickers and trading cards of him,,,,
what a wonderful human being... love you Fonz!!!!
Love hearing Henry Winkler story, such a very nice person.
Henry killed it as the Fonz. Playing the total opposite of himself. Incredible!!
One of my neighbors met Henry a year after Happy Days ended. He really is a great guy, according to my neighbor.
What a wonderful human being! Kindness and Cool personified! 💝
I love Henry Winkler! Such a kind soul
Henry should have won a Emmy for being the Fonz
God love Henry Winkler! He was my hero growing, and like him I have dyslexia too. Practice reading all the time and times table. I am 52 yrs old and still have to practice, like the Fonz, never give up.
I think he’s what made “Click” so much more emotional. He was pretty much playing himself and it was painful to see such a kind man being treated like dirt. Don’t tell me nobody else sobs like a baby during the “I love you son” scene.
Henry Winkler has been known as one of the nicest guys in Hollywood. That is truly cool.
Thanks for sharing tis video about the Fonz. I watched this show every week from the beginning and I loved every episode. It was the kind of show that was decent and funny all together. Henry still today looks great. God bless you Henry, always. 😇 ☺
He is such a gentle soul.
So great that his career just keeps going and going. The smiles on the fans' faces kinda say it all....everyone just wants to see him continue to do well. The interviewer was low key and not annoying....well done.
One of the finest humans. Thank you, kind sir!🥰
I'm dying now. Please send us some! Congrats on your Emmy!!!!
Still got my Fonz doll !! I love the man - thank you Mr. Winkler 😘
I met him once at Paramount Studios. Nicest guy you will ever meet.....
“I followed my dream to be an actor and here I am, being who you are is being somebody” -Henry Winkler (Fonz)
I would love to see some sort of sequel/update film or episode of Happy Days, with Henry and Ron reprising their roles, to see what the Fonz and Richie did decades later. Even just a few scenes on RUclips would be great.
Mr winkler is a bright light in the world 👍 and yes, a national treasure.
Don’t forget that shortly after Happy Days he made the comedy film Nightshift with Michael Keaton in which he was totally the opposite of The Fonz
Yea I think that was his first movie after that directed by Ron Howard. He was in Lords of Flatbush with Sly Stallone before Happy Days
I loved him in Night Shift. I had a Fonzie shirt in high school. And then to see him just crush it on Parks and Rec, Arrested Development and Barry. What a legend. He should have about 10 Emmys … More importantly, he is obviously a great human being. I love him so much
The Doctor presenting an award to The Fonz. Totally geeking out.
One of my first crushes! 💜
Happy days was mostly before my time. But Henry Winkler made such a great iconic character.
Henry Winkler....I LOVE YOU, MAN!!!!
Henry and The Fonz........both legends
I love McGyver when I was a kid! And just hearing him narrating that book makes me want to read it!
I'm too young to know him as Fonzie, but I have come to love him in Barry. He brings so much personality and variety to the character of Mr. Cousineau. Seems like he's a great dude to boot!
We all watched in wonder @ how Henry Winkler DID re-invent himself. Not always possible. Congrats!!!

Henry Winkler = GOAT
I am such a Henry Winkler fan!!! My favorites are of course "Happy Days" but when it comes to his movies I love "Night Shift", "The Water Boy" and the made for tv movie "The One And Only":)!
Henry Winkler was the Luke Perry of that Decade!!!
Is it me or is Henry Winkler looking more like the late Garry Marshall?
Marty Mcfly you’re right he does
2:53 - 3:00 this dude still sound like The Fonz! Legendary 🙏
My Hero, such a great person. Thanks for the entertainment
What a gentleman
What a great guy!
I loved the Fonz and I loved him on Parks and Rec!
Probably the greatest TV character ever, played by this great guy is cherry on top.
He got the coolest voice I've ever heard you will always be the fonzarelli
Every body love Henri Winkler and we all love the Fonze !
God bless Henry Winkler.
He was a sweetheart as Hank & Evan’s father Edward R. Lawson on Royal Pains 🥰
AWESOME! Some of my deepest childhood memories were of Happy Days and the Fonz. As a young kid I had a tee shirt that said "AYEEEEEE" with the Fonz on it.
Such a talented and lovely man
A true human being! Not many like him in Hollywierd anymore. Can you imagine him winning an award and at the podium rip into a political tirade? Didnt think so....hes a class act!!!

1:18 The guy pulling up in the truck..."Heyyyyyyyyyyy!"
I think if I met him, I would cry.
I use to be a member of the fonz cool club of great Briton when I was a kid. I use to have a fonz Action figure as a kid. Good times Loved the show. The fonz was my TV Hero when I was young.
This man is greatness
The Fonz is one of the greatest characters in TV history.
How good was that Barry Series?! it was not only a commedy it was also a Drama. i will watch it a second time.
ABC news should focus on subjects like this, that people find interesting. That, and just a straight up news delivery without all the commentary. Then, they would definitely win a strong audience.
He's a celebrity
Love that guy
He is still the FONZ!!!
Love Henry.
Class act. Winkler is such a huge part of Americana.
that is the dude from the BARRY series!
73, I’ve got some catching up to do, 10/2/20 will be 64, noticed how short he was at 5ft 6”, at least I’m much taller, Henry put on a lot of weight, and will always “The Fonze”.
A true legend
He was the coolest man alive during Happy Days.
Awesome interview!!
The fact that he’s nothing like the fonz is the greatest thing ever.
night shift is my favorite role of his...but make no mistake i also love the fonz...
He is in a class with Jimmy Durante. Hollywood had nothing bad to say about Jimmy. Everybody loves Henry Winkler too.
Short Jewish kid becomes heartthrob and spends the rest of his career being nice to everyone, writing children's books and taking on unique roles? Yeah, Henry Winkler is, without a doubt, the coolest guy Hollywood has ever seen.
Grew up watching da FONZ best times ever
He's one of the few celebrities that is actually beloved. The only others I can think of are Weird Al Yankovic and Mr. T.
Weird Al is another really great guy. I would love to meet him.
Such a nice man!
David Peter is right. Mr. Winkler truly is a national Treasure
great interview.
