please never let that one fella into the commentary booth again. Guess he was German from the way he spoke. Got in after the route setter left. He didn't add anything to the commentary but noise. Just 30 second long segments of nothing but "I like that", "that looks really cool", "wow, exciting".
I would say it is possible this route was designed 100% for Adam, like he happily said. The route setters had to be aware of this, and I think it is a consideration, the bias involved when setters are analyzing climbers and setting their routes. as we move toward higher profits. we know other sports are crime-ridden, and so with the olympics comes corruption.
Yeah, I think this is going to be a real problem when climbing comes to the Olympics. If the route is set to favor one climber's style or they have insider knowledge from the route setter, it can be a huge advantage.
Maybe he was nice, but he had no business talking while the climbers are in the wall. thats something you can talk about in preperation to the event not while the attention should be on the athlete...
This was extraordinary. Use this as example for the olympic routesetting
incredible route, the setting was extraordinary......

What an awesome route!! Such a great spectacle. Wish it'd had an encore or cousin in 2017
And haha, did the excitable route-setter drop an f-bomb at 29:00 xD
Best competition 2017??

That insane rambling and hype on his own route, thinking a jug jump is really exciting, that not a single climber had any problems with.

Interesting point. But then again, you could say it was perfect for Sean McColl.
WTF? are you crazy?
der schlechteste moderator ever.....
Adam was unbelievably annoying.. Almost had to mute while he was talking
why? he was satisfied and nice

This route was so bad. Good for the spectators and shit for climbers and climbing
