It’s mated to a track-proven and precise-shifting Tremec 6-speed manual transmission.

Mustangs have come along way in a short time imao , I remember my 4.6 sohc with 215 HP then I had the 4.6 dohc cobra had the long tubes with off roads & no mufflers had to turn it off and coast down my street late at night was insane loud , the difference from a 90's stang till now is unreal hats off to ford 🇺🇸 nice video

The new look is a million times better. I hate the fact they they are keeping the old look for the GT500 and NASCAR. The 2019 Shelby Supersnake looks MILES better that what the GT500 will look like

Don't know why there has to be a rivalry with the Camero based on performance. I've been thinking about this for a while. A friend of mine would always read off stats like it's the end all of comparisons. Big deal! I love me a Mustang. I could've bought a Camero, it has marginally better "stats" but its ugly, has no style and is always competing with the Mustang. I bought the real deal. A mustang GT. I love it. I feel that Chevy makes cars like the way the Chinese make disposable knock offs. Mustang leads the pack, there is no substitute, they're not trying to follow any car. Bad ass in every way. When the GT 500 comes out I'll get one of those. Can't wait.
It's only people with insecurity issues that have to do that and if you're 100% confident go buy whatever fucking car you want regardless whatever brand it is!
Just live your life and stop worrying about what others are thinking about the choices you've made!

So many years of people bashing the mustang, now.. everyone is trying to get their hands on one. Funny thing.. i guess next time people should think for themselves instead of following word of mouth. The mustang today from stock to shelby GT350 are awesome. now withstanding its qwerks, but its qwerks are exactly whats given the mustang butt loads of character, something that doesn't simply come with a name, quality nor a big price tag. 911's are incredible, but they're equally sterile, character has all but been built out of them. you got'a get a classic 911 for that. Ferrari's have character but at the cost of you looking like a dosch. Mustangs are equally at home in a red neck trailer park as they are at pebble beach concourse. Few cars of any type and any cost can pull that off.
Yup! You are very correct, I have a 2011 GT black convertible six-speed and the car's been great! I was really lucky I bought it used with only 25,000 miles on it the guy only did two oil changes in 7 years. But to have a really cool looking car that's affordable, dependable and looks great, parts are going to be fairly cheap. And so many people out there have these European cars whatever.
warriorpluto Fords weakness had indeed been its engines where as they were better at making just about everything else and vise versa with GM' better engines and less impressive designs. I would say that ford invested more on innovation with their engines than GM who relied more on very reliable old school methods of creating power. the LS/LT engines were powerful and bullet proof, but did not lend well to modern tech, which is why many boutique supercar manufactures opted for Ford engines as a base to build upon rather than Chevy engines. Konigseggs notably being one. Both Ford and GM overall engine development growth was greatly hindered by ever growing regulations not to mention the internal corporate culture of the american auto manufacture rejecting technologies commonly used in smaller displacement European engines, they felt such high reving euro-sourced tech was too anti-american, assuming the american 'no replacement for displacement' attitude would mean such tech would lead to poor sales, as such, despite knowing the improvements the tech would bring to their engines performance, opted not to do so , until.. in fords case, the GT350. Thru the years many people including myself saw many euro innovations trickle their way into 'special edition' offerings by each manufacture like trick differentials, but it was the FPC that we all wanted, and finally ford delivered. changing the power band from 'american' low rev range to european high rev range. this all really attribute to the type of performance driving . Americans liked dragracing. which attribute to low end power (power and torque from a stand still), Europeans Track racing mid to high end (power on the go) The benefit of the later is that power is not waisted at speeds where it cant be used only to be out of breath bout time your off and running. which is why top fuel dragster engines are so enormously huge, to make up the difference for all the power loss at launch. the gt350 doesnt need a ton of torque at low speeds/rpms because it would be waisted early, instead the FPC gives it continuous build up to its peak, which is a way more pleasurable feel, progression instead of old school deflation. which is exactly how old school mustangs felt. big power torque off the line quickly followed by weakness and out of breath at higher rpms. you would leave a car off the line only to be beaten mid ways.

No question GM has pushed pushrod design wayyyy further than it was expected to go. its far more bulletproof but had usually came at the cost of fuel efficiency. GM has made ways with that as well, just not as efficient as DOHC. as you mention, each technology has its benefits and drawbacks. Both are now being supplemented via electric motors. which was something i thought about decades ago. but the idea for a car to have multiple motors seemed absurd, from the aspect of space and weight. turns out. it was not only plausible but the benefits went even further than anticipated.
